Oh, I just assumed minidolls were one piece. Guess I have never touched one, and I hope I never have to:P.
So did I. I actually own three of the same one i.e I bought the same LEGO Friends set three times for a part I wanted a bunch of times. I stole the hair, discarded the rest. I don't like them looking realistic. If they look like humans, does that make me a psychopath when I pull their hair off?
Does it make me a psychopath that I ripped mine apart limb from limb, fed it to my LEGO T-Rex, and threw it in the trash?
On minifigures you can change their arms and hands.
You can change minidolls' arms out too, technically, you just have to pry their arms off. Okay that just sounded weird I don't really see the point of changing their hands though even if you could.
What if they're working in the garden and you want to give them gloves?

You can change their hands to put on/take off gloves.
Well, you must realize most of my LEGO is from pre-2010, and back then 95%+ of minifigures were male.
Same. Most of my newer sets are licensed, therefore they include quite a few females. My first female minifigure was from a late 1990's to 2000 space set. Not sure which, one of my brothers gave her to me. She was my first LEGO figure and the only female I had for some time. Females were so lacking back then, it took me years to figure out that "Timmy" was actually a Tammy. Was I the only one who renamed their minifigures and disregarded the official names and stories? Jayko from Knights Kingdom was King Arthur to me... The green guy was Lancelot while the peasant was Paris/Alexander.
Pretty sure the female life guard from Minifgures Series Two was my eighth female. Not sure how many I have now, but it'll be around 30. Think I have over 300 males and two babies... 'cause who didn't buy Fun In The Park a bunch of times.
I can only think of 3 human female minifigs I have. Safe to say it's 5 or less. I said human because I have a bunch of Chima ones, though.
And I don't have Fun in the Park, but it looks great.
Yep. My family bought our first computer in 2003 I believe. We... Us kids only used it for The Sims, Paint and Word. I had a fear of pressing the internet explorer button, a fear which was legitimised later in life. We had dial-up, I only heard it, never used it. We weren't really into computers, I think we bought it for school assignments and such. We had over 25 acres to explore at the time. Spent most of our time building BMX jumps, moving cricket and football pitches, digging holes to China and rallying a Daihatsu Charade.
I spent a lot of time outside as a kid. We made medieval weapons and roleplayed with them, was so fun:D! I miss being a kid:(.

We used to pretend our land was Jurassic Park. I too miss being a kid, though I think kids are too busy to just mess around nowadays. The worst part about being the youngest, you watch as your older brothers grow up and you still wanna play. You just grow up too.
Being honest though, I don't think I could deal with brother number one and two using the ankle-tap on me in rugby anymore, in addition to their general roughness/seriousness at sport. Don't miss that part...
I was the oldest, so I guess that means I grew up the slowest from your point of view. Although being the oldest means you spend a lot of time worrying about whether or not the younger ones are following the rules, whether or not it's actually your responsibility at the time.

I wasn't allowed to see JP until I was 13, so you're lucky you got to as a kid:(. I was middle, but my sis never really did anything outside. It was always me, my bro, his friend, and my friend. We would always get together and roleplay. I never played rugby, and during my only play EVER of tackle football I broke my arm:P!
JP was the first PG-13 movie I ever saw. I first watched it the summer before my 13th birthday. So, yeah, my parents were (and are) pretty strict as far as movie ratings go. They did let my 8-year-old brother watch Force Awakens, though, but it's not bad at all as far as PG-13 goes.

And that's not really complaining... Not when the OP asked which we like best and why. It was more of a statement. I like minifigures because they can be posed/articulated better and can sit/stick to any old LEGO piece. They're also original and originals are always biasly better.
Not necessarily. *cough*Toy Story 3*cough*Empire Strikes Back*
Where would we be without the first? Also, I didn't like Toy Story 3.

That's very few. When did you start collecting? Nearly all original LEGO concept sets have at least one female.
In this topic, you can discuss which Lego figure -Minifigures or Minidolls- you like best, and why.
Please be sure to stay calm and respect other people's opinions.
Minifigure, for sure. They're more simplistic and cartoony, which I like better, they're more customizable, and the Lego mini dolls look more realistic, but they just don't have an appealing look other than that. In my opinion, there wasn't a reason for mini-dolls to exist in the first place, which is why they don't give the appeal that the figs do.
Actually they can sit down. Their legs have a single joint that moves their feet in front of them and allow them to sit down. It's not exactly the most ideal design, but it works regardless.

I wouldn't call myself a "collector." Me and my brothers get LEGOs whenever we can, but we don't have a bunch of extra money to spend on them. Plus, for a couple years pretty much all we got was Chima, which is why we have so much of that.
Minifigures no question. I hate minidolls, wish they never existed. I don't get why they feel that girls prefer minidolls. I bet most girls would rather just play with female minifigures:S:P.
What the heck is a minidoll? they sound like abominations.
You have hit the nail on the head, my friend.
A minidoll is a LEGO figure that LEGO decided to make because they thought girls would like them better than minifigs for some reason. They look like this.
