Hello, my fellow LMBEers and Lego Star Wars enthusiasts alike!
It is time to answer the age old question: What Star Wars Movie is the best? Which is the worst? And which are in between?
Make your personal list, and let's discuss!!
Here is mine! (i am not including the Clone Wars Movie, but you can if you'd like!) (Don't get me wrong, I enjoy every movie, just some more than others )
1. Return of the Jedi 2. Tied between The Empire Strikes back and a New Hope 3. Rogue One 4. Revenge of the Sith 5. The Last Jedi 6. The Force Awakens 7. The Phantom Menace 8. Attack of the Clones
I like it! TLJ is second! You obviously are on the side of the Star Wars Fandom that loved the movie (I did too, I disagree with the hate it is getting) I personally enjoy watching TPM more than AotC tho, clones has usually been my least favorite.
Love it. ESB is fantastic ( i wore an ESB shirt today, in case you were wondering ) And I see you are also on the spectrum of fans who enjoyed TLJ? I agree, I thought it was great!
1. The Empire Strikes Back 2. A New Hope 3. The Last Jedi 4. Revenge of the Sith 5. The Force Awakens 6. Return of the Jedi 7. Rogue One 8. The Phantom Menace 9. Attack of the Clones
I don't count The Clone Wars the movie because it wasn't even originally intended to be a movie. And the Ewok movies and The Holiday Special are thankfully non-canon.
Ignore everything I say, to the best of your ability.

Clones is really dragged down by the terrible romance. I like the Obi-Wan stuff in it though.

Definitely would have to agree with you on that one

Why is ROTJ so low on your list?
The stuff with Jabba goes on for too long, the special effects haven't aged very well (compared to The Empire Strikes Back), a lot of stuff with the Ewoks feels like filler. And then they have to destroy another Death star...
And aside from Luke, all of the characters seem like a step back (in terms of interestingness) from The Empire Strikes Back.
I absolutely love everything with Luke, Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan and Sheev though.
But overall it just feels like a mediocre end to an amazing trilogy. Perhaps I'm a little biased because of how incredible to two films before it are. And if we're talking special editions, I have even more complaints.

I would have to fundamentally, but still respectfully, disagree with those points. I definitely see where you are coming from, but I disagree

I'd like to hear more, if you're willing.

Of course!
For one, I am a little biased because I have a lot of ROTJ sets, but that isn't the only reason.
like most kids, I was into lego, but I didn't avidly collect until I was in the 5th grade and received the Jabba's Palace set for Christmas in 2012. From then on, I collected the Rancor Pit, the Desert Skiff, and Jabba's sail barge in the coming year. I had also been gifted the Endor bunker in 2010 before all of those sets. So having these ROTJ sets and wanting to collect them all sort of "connected" me with the movie.perhaps it has driven me to conclusion that everything with Jabba is not to long in my opinion, but I digress.
I love the stuff with the Emperor, Vader, and Luke on the Death Star. Some of the best dialogue and tension in the saga. Everything on Endor I love. If only the Ewoks were Wookies like it was intended, it would be even better. But I just love the color, the sound, and the effects the Endor sequences provide. All of the Redwoods look great and I love this forest setting for star wars. I still enjoy the SFX, even with today's standards. The sequence with Luke and Yoda is great, and the reveal of Leia being related to Luke is still awesome.
To sum things up, it looks great, it sounds great, it works great. The lightsaber combat is spot on, and I've loved collecting the sets. And that is why Return of the Jedi is my favorite Star Wars Movie.
