In hindsight, I've realized this isn't the type of community I want to immerse myself in. If anybody else wants to take the Mammoths or Spiders, feel free, but I'm not exhausting my energy to an RP where nobody will even listen to me, or decide to not argue every single thing I do.
But from a narrative viewpoint, the Fire tribes were added to the story to provide a spark of hope that the Chimians could stand a chance against the Ice Hunters. The fact that only Fire Chi could have an effect against the Ice-powered villains also made the Ice hunters more intimidating. The inland tribes got their Chi falls back, they became overconfident, and they got crushed. They realized they needed to find the Phoenix and earn a new type of chi in order to fight these new enemies. The Crawlers were a threat because they had much more chi than the inland tribes. The Ice Hunters were a threat because regular weapons that were effective before weren't effective against them. If any old weapon can effectively fight the ice Hunters, that takes away the threat level of the hunters to the inland tribes, and makes it so that the inland tribes wouldn't need to obtain fire chi in the first place. Therefore, instead of being Fire vs Ice, it would be "Regular chi and weapons vs Ice".
Faltering plot points? Bad logic? Eh, disagree there.
Why are you so bent on sticking with the show? It was the weakest part of the whole theme, IMO. Why not just make the Ice Hunters an existing faction that users can choose to join, instead of this big bad that needs a big bad revelation and big bad superpowers and plot armor that steamrolls all the other factions? That makes the RP scripted, which isn't fun at all, especially to those who never agreed to play along this way. I'm sure it'd be fun for you, being among those who gets to pummel everyone else, but I'm not on board with it at all.
Which leads me to another point: a scripted RP isn't one that anyone can just hop into without a sharp learning curve, and this RP is already unexpectedly crazier than the old one due to all the weird alliances and major factions, and especially the major fanon historical events that I've seen in some of the profiles around here. You guys have mentioned that you don't want to end up like the old RP, where users left because they didn't like all the fanon stuff, and we didn't see many newcomers. That was after around three years of it existing. This one hasn't even existed for more than a year, and you're already making it difficult for newcomers like me to get into the flow of things. Trying to adapt a scripted RP-wide plot--one most of us have all seen before and probably didn't care for--with these strict regulations on top of all that... it's not fun, it's boring, and it's annoying. So how about instead of "Fire vs. Ice", we just do "Chima RP" and keep it unscripted?
Agree to disagree on the first part.
Good point, but the question I'm posing is: if the inland tribes can already fight the Ice Hunters, why would they need fire chi in the first place? It doesn't really make sense for the inland tribes to go to all the trouble of: •Traveling to Mount Cavora •Getting into the Phoenix temple •Passing a pretty hard trial to earn fire chi ...when they can already effectively fight the ice Hunters? I'm not saying I want a scripted RP, but it simply doesn't make sense. How about only the characters who won't use fire chi have normal weapons that can fight the ice hunters?

Ech, i dont know if i have enough tribes to control, mammoths go to The J , and i’ll scoop up the spiders and make them part of the Crawler Empire... well, for a short time before they are all frozen.

I think a good compromise is that the Ice Hunters are resistant to most other types of damage, but extremely weak to Fire Chi. This means that you can still destroy them with conventional weapons, it’d just be a lot harder.

All that should be optional. Users shouldn't have to go through a gauntlet to have a chance at beating other users in an RP, regardless of whether or not it was in the show. We shouldn't be forced to use a mcguffin to stand a chance.

Not a bad compromise, but I'm thinking Fire Chi should simply stick to the Phoenixes, and anyone who want to pass the Trials still can for a powerful reward of Fire Chi.

Thermal Energy. Ahem...Thermal energy is the internal energy of an object due to the kinetic energy of its atoms and/or molecules. The atoms and/or molecules of a hotter object have greater kinetic energy than those of a colder one, in the form of vibrational, rotational, or, in the case of a gas, translational motion.
All we need is hot air to defeat the ice hunters or anything super-heated to a degree here.

They would still be resistant to that, because fire chi is magic fire

Don’t try and apply logic please
I'm okay with Fire Chi being especially effective against Ice Hunters, but I'm not fine with other weapons being very hard to use against them.

Other weapons are not effective against them. They just aren't. Unless a projectile or weapon is powered by Fire Chi, it will take a long time to break through one of the walls the Ice Hunters raise to shield their advancing armies. Of course, using regular Chi will allow you to break free of ice blocks, so that you can stand a chance, but magic fire is the only quick way to break through magic ice.

So... the Ice Hunters are OP?
I thought we were trying to preserve balance...
And it's not like a wall of ice is going to stop anti-tank weaponry of most types.

Your liking plotholes and not very good reasoning to this isnt gonna get you anywhere, pal.
