Super-heated. The keyword is “heated” here. Why dont you not understand alternate sources to fire chi, dude?
Because that makes fire chi completely pointless. Why would any tribes go to the trouble of passing the fire trials if they can just invent fire weapons that can fight the Ice Hunters? If the Ice Hunters can be fought with weapons that aren't powered by fire chi, I will leave the Roleplay.
Becuase some one would not believe in the Pheonix. Trust me in this one. You dont need to stick to canon too much here. Loose Canon is Loose Canon.

It wouldn’t make fire chi pointless. Fire chi doesn’t need to be the only thing that can harm Ice Hunters, it just needs to be the most effective and efficient, if you want to go down the route of the show.

You're missing the point. You need fire chi to fight the ice Hunters. Weapons that aren't powered by fire chi should not have any effect against them. That's the whole point of the Fire tribes in the first place.

It would though. If there are non-fire chi weapons capable of fighting the Ice Hunters, no tribes would care about fire chi. There would be no point in traveling to Cavora and passing the fire trial when the tribes of Chima are already able to fight the hunters.
I have to disagree. Just because they have magic shenanigans doesn't mean that they are exempt from the laws of logic and physics. They will to find other ways to counter them.
That makes fire chi completely pointless.
No it doesn't. It's not like they won't be able to freeze people, and it's not like a bunch of soldiers strolling around with warm bullets will solve the huge permanent winter that will inevitably follow.
In my opinion, making the new villains immune to the heroes' weapons is just a cheap way of making them threatening.

No. The point of the Fire Tribes was to breathe life into the China Franchise, and offer shiny new toys.
In actual universe, I always saw them more as mentors trying to whack some sense into everybody.
Besides, that's we chose loose cannon to avoid faltering plot points abd Bad Logic that the story presents.

What he said! I want alternate weapons to defeat the ice hunters, and thats final!

Well obviously i would make my Forgotten characters wield fire chi to their advantages, but only to satsify your justification of a bad plot setup and logic failures. -parades around with Resistance Crossbows for everyone to pincushion ice hunters with super-heated rebars of science-

But from a narrative viewpoint, the Fire tribes were added to the story to provide a spark of hope that the Chimians could stand a chance against the Ice Hunters. The fact that only Fire Chi could have an effect against the Ice-powered villains also made the Ice hunters more intimidating. The inland tribes got their Chi falls back, they became overconfident, and they got crushed. They realized they needed to find the Phoenix and earn a new type of chi in order to fight these new enemies. The Crawlers were a threat because they had much more chi than the inland tribes. The Ice Hunters were a threat because regular weapons that were effective before weren't effective against them. If any old weapon can effectively fight the ice Hunters, that takes away the threat level of the hunters to the inland tribes, and makes it so that the inland tribes wouldn't need to obtain fire chi in the first place. Therefore, instead of being Fire vs Ice, it would be "Regular chi and weapons vs Ice".
Faltering plot points? Bad logic? Eh, disagree there.

Why are you so bent on sticking with the show? It was the weakest part of the whole theme, IMO. Why not just make the Ice Hunters an existing faction that users can choose to join, instead of this big bad that needs a big bad revelation and big bad superpowers and plot armor that steamrolls all the other factions? That makes the RP scripted, which isn't fun at all, especially to those who never agreed to play along this way. I'm sure it'd be fun for you, being among those who gets to pummel everyone else, but I'm not on board with it at all.
Which leads me to another point: a scripted RP isn't one that anyone can just hop into without a sharp learning curve, and this RP is already unexpectedly crazier than the old one due to all the weird alliances and major factions, and especially the major fanon historical events that I've seen in some of the profiles around here. You guys have mentioned that you don't want to end up like the old RP, where users left because they didn't like all the fanon stuff, and we didn't see many newcomers. That was after around three years of it existing. This one hasn't even existed for more than a year, and you're already making it difficult for newcomers like me to get into the flow of things. Trying to adapt a scripted RP-wide plot--one most of us have all seen before and probably didn't care for--with these strict regulations on top of all that... it's not fun, it's boring, and it's annoying. So how about instead of "Fire vs. Ice", we just do "Chima RP" and keep it unscripted?

In hindsight, I've realized this isn't the type of community I want to immerse myself in. If anybody else wants to take the Mammoths or Spiders, feel free, but I'm not exhausting my energy to an RP where nobody will even listen to me, or decide to not argue every single thing I do.

Ech, i dont know if i have enough tribes to control, mammoths go to The J, and i’ll scoop up the spiders and make them part of the Crawler Empire... well, for a short time before they are all frozen.
