So, I think it's about time I invented something serious for the Rohirrim. This is an idea for a great anti-archer weapon:
The Winged Hussars of Rohan: Horsemen with large, 4' deployable wings on their backs. They get up to a full gallop, before flipping a lever, and their wings deploy. They jump off the horse, and glide into the formation of archers with spears and whatnot. The wings are made out of canvas.
These are also very useful on ships; the Hussars can fly from one boat to another without much trouble, and they can even take their horse along with them via a rope attached to the horse. This also allows for faster troop movement in battle.
Thoughts?
Goaty:
Rohan. is. not. a. technologically. advanced. race.
NO.
One mod to rule them all and in the darkness ban them - Lord of the Mods "I am the Mod Reborn!" - masterlegobuilders I'm the real boss

This had better be an April Fools since there is no way that will work or get through. In otherwords, NO.
Same here. I don't believe we have the technology to do this TODAY even, so. . . even if they could do this, the Dwarves Wouldn't have them, no-one could have them, NO NO NO NO! ROHAN IS NOT ADVANCED! WE HAVE LIMITED TECHNOLOGY IN THIS RP! LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, and here I was thinking I made it pretty clear it was an April Fool's joke. Well, April Fool's.

Not at all. I do have a new unit coming soon though, hopefully.

Looking back, it is really clear. However, you've tried so many times to get tech past for Rohan, and after hearing this completely unrealistic design, I just blew a short fuse. I'm also slightly behind on sleep.

OK, as I've just realized that the Orcs have no ships deployed, I'm taking charge of the fleet. Because of this, I have a new unit that I would like to make for the Ship department (one ship, and one normal unitry.)
Orcish Cruiser: Worth 20 Description: A light and Fast ship, but rather large. Cannot take much damage, but has a larger number of seige weaponry than other ships. Weaponry: Many Lighter Ballistae, and arbalests.
Uruk Sea-Raider: Worth 1 With Heavy armor, a mace and a Viking-style sheild, the Uruk Sea-Raider is meant to heavily attack without fear. The Uruk Sea-Raider is accustomed to fighting on the sea, after training the Sea of Nurn.
Uruk Sea-Soldeir: Worth 2 A better version of the Uruk Sea-Raider, the Uruk Sea-Soldeir are only deployed on the most vulnerable ships of the fleet.

I don't mind you trying to expand your naval forces, but I don't think this is canon; I didn't see any evidence (that I can remember) in the books or movies that orcs were seafaring. Regardless, back to the units.
On the Orcish Cruiser, I don't see how it can be 'rather large' and still only worth 20. If it were to be past, I'd hope it to be around 25-30 NMWE.
The Sea-Raiders and -Soldiers are fine, I just don't think there's much canon evidence for them.

It technically isn't canon. However, since you seem to be intent on bending the fact that Rohan didn't have powerful seige weaponry, I think we can waive this fact, as they aren't even super-good, they're only 1 MWE, and trained for sea combat.
The Orcish Cruiser is larger, meaning more room for oars and arbalests and so forth, but then it has less armor. Essentially, It's all offense and no defense.

Goaty, I haven't seen MM suggest a canon unit for a very long time. So I'm not surprised.

Tell me again, what units are completely against Canon? Other than my tanks, I understand that those aren't canon. The FireStorm Carts were a Canon thing taken slightly differently, but still fairly canon. A large chunk of my Morian/Khand/Mordor Unit Lists are Canon, though their are some that are not super canon. I don't believe that anything is as bad at it's Canonical roots than Goaty's attempted units. I mean, He's tried to get new, complicated Seige weapons for Rohan, even though Rohan has no Canon Siege Weaponry. I'm basically creating some low-level units for Sea here.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.
I'd like to try and get a really simple unit passed. The history of the A&U topic has mostly been troops being developed to counter other troops, etc., so I'd like to make a troop to counter some of MM's more heavily armored trolls, still within the bounds of the Rohirrim. It obviously won't be canon, because I'm developing something new, but I'm sure you guys can agree that it's feasible.
Now that I've spent a full minute trying to think of a creative name, I'll just go ahead and detail it for you guys.
Armor: Medium plate in the front, chainmail everywhere else, with a small shield. Weapons: A version of an atlatl specifically designed to throw javelins, a short-sword. MWE: 2. Description: This unit is specifically designed for quick skirmishes; to charge directly at a line, of, say, armored trolls, release their javelins using the atlatls, taking into advantage their long arms and height for leverage, then pulling away before they encounter the enemy lines. Weaknesses: This should be pretty obvious. I mean, come on, people. Outside of the more obvious weaknesses, they're being put on the front lines, which puts them in danger given their situation with armor, and they're easily defeated if cornered. Strengths: The javelins, with the speed of the horse and leverage of the atlatl, are very powerful when they hit their targets, going through most light-to-medium armor. Well-trained, so decently accurate, as well as having only moderate armor and a light weapon, making them relatively fast for cavalry.

There's a difference between units that are explicitly canon or clearly matches canon, and units that are simply not against canon. Most of your units, I'd say, fall into the latter category. That doesn't mean they're illegitimate, but you start walking a fine line there, if you get my meaning.

hmm. . . I like it. A slight feasibility error: As far as I've ever been able to tell, Atlatls don't have much stability for their darts, and as such I'd find it difficult to believe that a horse unit could actually use one effectively. if I may suggest something, May I suggest making to units worth 1, one being an Atlatl thrower, and the other using a sheild and a sword, to be used in conjunction with each other. The only thing to lose is speed, but you add more effiency with the weaponry being used. Also, I'll note that currently, they'll just get shot down by archers.
And Goaty, as you state here, nothing new is super canon, but if that kind of stuff gets past as long as we're not ruining the boundries. Their is nothing to prove that orcs were great seafarers, but nothing to prove that they didn't have some mediocre seafaring Uruks. Or Moria having SOME armored trolls. Or Moria having Tanks from the dwarves. Need I go on?

umm. . . Recently, less so. I've got various units with large sheilds, trolls and warg units, but recently I've been getting closer to explicitly canon (using more traditional weapons and goblins, using less defensive cores, etc.) and also, what place doesn't have a large number that doesn't fall into the latter? The Canon gives each place 1 or 2 different weapon and armor types, and that's it.
