I accept the team request. Our usernames pop up under "TEAM" on the side of my screen. "I guess we can start with an easy one -- just to get warmed up, of course." I say.
" How about this one. " I point to a level on my screen. He seems fine with it so I sclect it. We get teleported to to forest like area. " The goal in this level is to get to the other side of the forest without getting smashed by monsters. The monsters' health is pretty low though so this should be easy. " We head into the forest, I pull up my inventory and take out my sword. Brandishing it at the ready. Lord Sandwich takes out a wepon as well.
As we go deeper into the forest I can tell the monsters are near. One jumps out of the foliage shape teeth bared. It has a long curved tail, red eyes and spikes along it's back. It is black in color, it's upper body covered in fur and it's lower body covered in scales. Others like it come out as it attacks us. I swing my sword at the NPC with confidence, I had faced many like it before. It took damage and I quickly finished it, then I moved to attack it's freinds. Lord Sandwich was slashing his weapon at the monsters as well, together we made quick work of them and continued deeper into the dark forest level. Soon more monsters jumped out, these looked just like the others, only a little bigger and little more powerful, however there were fewer of them. Me and Lord Sandwich cleaved at them with our weapons their health dropping to zero in our wake. We were almost there. We continued on to meet the last ambush of monsters. These were a combination of monsters from the first and second groups along with one that was larger then the others and white with dark blue eyes. " Attack the biggest one first, it does more damage. " I quickly advised Lord Sandwich, he nooded in understanding and the two of us changed at it warrior-like. I tried to get behind it so that I could slash at the parts of it's body covered in fur instead of scales. Eventually the large white one disappeared leaving behind experience points to gather. We quickly finished off the smaller ones and reached the edge of the forest. Then we got teleported back to the city.
{JAMMERS} There we go, I finally remembered to write that and finally had the inspiration I needed to do so. So sorry for the delay and that it has taken so long.
I sat on a bench and tapped my foot, a bit bored. My boredom was extinguished when I heard a voice cry:
"Wheeeee!"
I looked behind me; a girl had just jumped straight to the area in front of me, and really high, a stream of ink showing the power of her jump. She giggled. I noticed that she had markings around her eyes, like a mask, and aquamarine "hair" with a long part to the side. Satisfied with herself, she placed her hands on her hips.
According to my in-game identifier, she was an Inkling, a humanoid being who could turn into a squid at will, and stored ink that it shot, usually through specialized weapons, for self-defense, aid in movement (such as climbing and jumping gaps), and sport. She resembled a human in some aspects, though her "hair" was actually comprised of six smooth, colorful "tentacles.", Jun never thought he'd encounter one, but here he was.
"Uh...hi. Can I...help you with something?"
Her voice had a strange bubbly quality, but she otherwise spoke clearly, with a quirky English accent. "Nah, I'm alright, thank you. Just warnin' ya...there'll be more like me coming in a bit. We're starting a match soon enough."
"A match?"
"Back at home, we do something called a Turf War. It's a sporting event where one is supposed to cover as much turf as possible with their team's color. We figured this was a good spot for one, although now that I think of it, these guys probably wouldn't appreciate the mess. Do you know a good spot?"
"Uh...there's a map somewhere, and you can probably ask someone."
"I'm not sure," the girl confessed. "Not everyone has subtitles on." She giggled a bit, realizing she had broken the fourth wall.
Jun nodded. "Makes sense."
"Anyway, my name is Joy, thought you ought to know."
"Jun. Nice to meet you."
"The pleasure's all mine. Now if you'll excuse me..."
More Inklings appeared, along with similar beings that were curvier in physique than the lanky Inklings, with curlier "hair" and eye markings that looked more like eye makeup than masks. According to the built-in index, these were Octolings, the octopus variant of Inklings; they had four, rather than six, thicker, curlier tentacles and spoke a different language, though some knew some Inkling.
By now, there are four Inklings and two Octolings. I'm just glad it isn't an infestation. However, I see three more Inklings and one more Octoling arrive a bit later; one of the Inklings, a tallish girl with white hair, is holding a fat, black-and-white cat, and another, a slightly taller girl with black and pink hair, is holding a smaller cat with grey print. There's also a very petite, baby-faced Inkling in pink, and with her is a tall Octoling with dark skin and teal highlights in her hair.
"They've come to aid the Turf War," a long-haired Inkling girl explains to me. "The ones holding the cats are Marie and Callie, respectively; the small one is Pearl, and the tallest is Marina. These girls announce the themes and stages. The cats are Judd and Lil' Judd, who judge each team's performance."
"Oh, okay. Thanks for that."
"Anytime," the girl replies with a smile. I notice that she has somewhat pointy teeth; the other Inklings probably do as well. "The Turf War's probably gonna wanna start soon, but we need two more on the other team if it is."
Another Octoling Super Jumps over to our location, but we're still short of one. blu-bell steps in, changing his avatar to that of an Octoling that looks similar to his true appearance, with dark blue hair instead of brown.
"Looks like we've got everyone," Callie chirps, clapping her hands in satisfaction. "Are we ready?"
"YEEEAH!"
"Apparently not," Marie replies sarcastically. "Come on, you can do it louder!"
"YEEEEEEAH!"
"This is a special one, because we have with us today...drumroll please..." Callie playfully beats her knees with her hands.
"Off the Hook!"
Pearl and Marina join them onstage.
"Yo, how we doin' in the place toniiight?" Pearl calls excitedly.
"Hey, it's so great to be here," Marina adds, barely containing her ecstasy. I notice that she has a slight accent, though I'm not sure how to place it. "Are we ready to announce the stage?"
"Do it, sister," Pearl replied.
"So the stage for the Turf War is..."
They drumroll excitedly.
"...wait...that's wrong," Marina muttered. Her expression shifted, from
The picture on the screen is that of a misty train station. Everyone is silent. This has never happened before.

OOC: Ayy, looks like this topic is alive again, even if by a little. @electricsunset1217 , do you have any suggestions for what characters do next? --Because at this point, I'm honestly kind of at a loss.

I already did Splatoon, but maybe an RPG, such as Final Fantasy, LoZ, or Kingdom Hearts, would be good for fighting monsters? Not sure how well I'll write Sora, but hey, it's worth a try!

I've played a couple Legend of Zelda games, and I know bits and pices about Kingdom Hearts and Splatoon. Chromis and Tigress' character are back now so they could join in the action. Oh and didn't you say you had a villain of some kind planned? Also something that should probably be kept in mind is that this is a Ninjago fan fiction.

This is one of those moments where I'm painfully reminded of my ignorance of the modern world of video games. XD

Do you know any video games, at all, Tigress? (Older games (and LEGO games, which I guess many on here would be more familiar with) are fine.)
Yeah, haha...this is a Ninjago fanfiction, with a lot of other stuff in it because of the whole video game thing. The Ninja are there though, in case you didn't know who waterl1ly, ElFuego, S_Jaguar, blu-bell, Chosen1, and DangerBuff are. (Please tell me if I got any of their usernames wrong, it's been a while...) Jay is even participating in this first Turf War, in an Octoling avatar. Sorry if I may have neglected that for a while.

I've played A Link to the Past on my dad's SNES Classic, as well as Ocarina of Time 3D on my own New 2DS XL; I've also played bits and pieces of The Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, a long time ago. I play Kingdom Hearts III and have played 358/2 Days on my DS as a kid. So I know some things about those two franchises. I have also played through Splatoon 1's Hero Mode and hope to play through both Splatoon 2's Hero Mode and its Octo Expansion, which lets you play as an Octoling if you beat it. Any other games you know about?
Nice! Finally!
Ah, I'm not sure. For now the Ninja will probably mostly have to face video game villains. There could be some type of hacker, virus, or corrupt AI as a villain, maybe, considering the video game theme...?
Yeah. I guess this would be a bit less hard on me if I put it in general discussion, but it's too late now. (It would make sense if the focus was mainly on Jay, considering his love for video games and tech...)
