Maybe we should put our heads together and think of a villain to get a plot going.
For now let's just go with the hacker idea. And exclusively video game villains don't have to be the limit! People like the Joker, Garmadon, and various Disney villains can get chillin' with 'em too!
Cool, then! Will you be orchestrating the appearances and characters of the main villains, seeing that this is your topic? Oh, and seeing that this is a Ninjago topic, perhaps we could try to focus the gaming aspect on the Ninjago world and lore, if that makes much sense.

So like I could bring in a Koopa Troopa for a small side character? ( I just love Koopa Troopas, I play as the one in Mario Cart all the time. )

Sure, go ahead. Yellow turtle people are cool with me.

For now the villain remains unseen. And sorry, I was sort of planning a huge crossover thingy here, READY PLAYER ONE style...besides, making references to Sitar Legend and Fist to Face 2 would be confusing and I'd like people to identify with things they're familiar with. However, the Ninja will probably have their favorite games to play, and I will try my best to play the presence of the Ninjago universe up a bit; perhaps even make the Ninjago characters more important than our OCs!

Gotcha. Well, seeing that you've seem to have a plan, how shall our next move be?

Either observing the Turf War or participating in it in some way would be good for now. And yes, heckling or humorous commentating is allowed.
While Jay zipped around the other team, inking turf and eliminating opponents, he slammed right into a young Octoling girl on the other team. Her Dualies flew out of her hands and she crashed to the ground. Jay dropped his own Dualies and picked her up. "Are you alright?"
"Yes, yes, I'm fine..." The Octoling got up, her face rather red.
"I'm sorry."
"It's alright," she replied, looking around.
"Do you need to get some rest?"
"Thank you," the Octoling breathed, walking away and sitting on the sidelines.
After the match, Jay sat by the young Octoling.
"Hey. How are you doing?"
"I'm doing alright. Still a little hurt but...it's fading pretty fast, so..."
"So...what's your name?"
"Olivia Rose," she replied. "It's nice to meet you."
"Jay Walker," Jay said with a small smile. "The next round should be starting soon. We're gonna be migrating to another area...and we'll also mix up teams, so are you in?"
"Yeah," Olivia replied with a small smile. She got up and looked around. "So this is a little embarrassing, but this is my first Turf War."
"Huh? Really?"
"Yeah. I only just arrived from Octo Canyon."
"Octo Canyon?" Jay asked. "What's that?"
"It's the main dwelling place of Octarians like me," Olivia said. "It's not the friendliest place, so I came up here to live a better life. However, I'm not the best at Inkling, which could make things hard..."
"Oh," Jay said. "By the way, can I call you Liv?"
"I'd like that."
The countdown for the next round began, and Jay and Liv hopped to the next location. Kai changed his avatar to an Inkling and joined. He had a plan and he wasn't afraid to carry it out.
(That last part has to do with the feud between Kai and Kane. TeaLeaf❀, knock yourself out.)
101DarkSandwichLord: After our game, ChromeFin and I return to the city to find the citizens astir. We learn of this Turf War taking place, and I can feel myself perking up with interest. "Can we participate in these things?" I turn to my companion and ask him, peering at him through his blue ninja hood.

TBH I currently don't have time to do a co-write. I'll probably jump in much later on but right now it's not a possibility. Sorry about that.

"Can we participate in these things?" I turn to my companion and ask him, peering at him through his blue ninja hood.
Jun answers for him. "If you have an Inkling or Octoling avatar available, you can probably shoot ink and turn into a squid or octopus like the others." With a grin, he tapped a few buttons on his interface, and he became a lanky squid-kid with a bowl-cut, panda beanie, and baggy sweatshirt. "Like this!" His voice sounds bubbly and wavy like the other Inklings. He's carrying a paintbrush as a weapon.
Liv approaches Jun nervously
"What's up, lil' octo?"
She stared at him, looking nervous, then finally spoke.
"You...you are...precipitate...yes?"
"Uh...I think you mean 'participate. 'And...yeah, I think so."
"Boo-yes!" she cheered, her English broken but her heart whole. "I am look forward to be see you of match!"
"Yeah, you too." I extended a hand for a hi-5. She stared at it for a moment, then grabbed it and shook it firmly. I chuckled a bit, then turned. "Many of the Octolings got here pretty recently. Don't expect them to know a bunch about our culture, 'kay? Inklings should be easier to talk to, although Jay should know some English since he's only Octoling by avatar."

I glance at little warily at the Octoling, but nod at Jun and say, "Gotcha. Thanks."

"So...are you wanting to participate or what?" I reply. "You will be assigned a color based on your team. You'll want to paint the most turf in your team's color before time runs out. It's usually two teams of four, but this seems to be an exception. Also, teams are usually mixed, so whether you choose to be an Inkling or Octoling doesn't matter."
Olivia seems to be studying her Dualies and looking a bit shy; in fact, many of the female Octolings seem a bit withdrawn. The boys look a bit more bashful than straight-up shy. The Inklings, in comparison, seem much more outgoing and excited, and chat with each other and strike poses, laughing and smiling at one another.
Kai crossed his arms. "He's not here yet."
Knowing he was talking about Kane, I replied, "Next time, buddy. So what weapon did you pick?"
"This," Kai replied, holding up a Range Blaster. "Gotta love the flames on the barrel, plus it's powerful."
"Niiice," I chuckled, then looked up to the audience. There was Tracer dashing into her seat as if late, and Ronin with his arms crossed. Hiro Hamada leaned in, expecting something cool. Emmet and Lucy chatted cheerfully, while Batman crossed his arms, waiting to boo the team he didn't feel like rooting for. Spiderman had just gotten into his seat next to Iron Man, who was busy glaring at Superman, who chatted up Luke Skywalker like an old friend. Link folded his hands in his lap and leaned in, while Zelda did up her hair with Peach talking to her. "Woah. They got everyone."
Turning back to Lord Sandwich, Jun asked, "The game's about to start. We're short one player. You in?"
Jun answers for him. "If you have an Inkling or Octoling avatar available, you can probably shoot ink and turn into a squid or octopus like the others." I studied the linklings and Octolings from where I stood next to Lord Sandwich, both fascinated and baffled. I loved sea life, and I also loved exploring new things in this game. So this seemed right up my alley. However changing my avatar had never ocured to me. As much as I liked these creatures I was unsure about changing my avatar, even temporarily. On the other hand this game they were playing did look kinda fun. I said aloud. " First I've heard of this. Looks interesting. But we have to change avatars? "
