*My siege engines continue to return fire at the DG Ballistae.* *All Gondorian cavalry (currently on the flanks of my army) turn and charge towards Army 4, looking to intercept them before they reach the Dwarvish siege engines. They spread out (as much as they can, at least), so as to give less of a target for arrows.*
And my apologies for the late response. I only have the usual excuses.
*My Ballistae continue Fire.* *The cavalry swerve quickly towards the left side of the Gondorian cavalry, the Archers behind melee infantry cavalry, firing at nearest cavalry.*
*Mine continue to fire as well.*
*My cavalry, led by the Knights of Gondor, turn and charge straight into the enemy cavalry. They use their lances to deadly effect.*

umm. . . Your cavalry is in a large line, and because you spread it out, my troops are attacking your left side. The horse archers are firing at the nearest enemy cavalry to the part they're attacking, so how are all of your cavalry attacking at once?

OOC: Should we just assume that this is continued until one side's siege engines are destroyed?
Well, they're not necessarily in a line, but more of a loose body of troops. But you're right, that's my bad, I'd forgotten that they were spread out. So here's a revised move:
*The left side of my cavalry formation, seeing the enemy charging them, prepares as best they can to meet the charge.* *The rest of my cavalry ride on past yours, eventually circling around. They form a tighter formation, with the Knights of Gondor in the lead, lances out as before. They then charge the backside of your cavalry.*

OOC: sure.
IC: *My Cavalry engage your Left side, charging past them while defending/attacking as best they can.*

OOC: K. How many ballistae did you have?
*My left side attempts to smash/slow down as many of your cavalry as they can. Just before my main force arrives, they break either right or left, depending on the position. My main force then attempts to chase down your cavalry, and smash any that they come across.*
