A little mermaid remake would present... challenges.
Parents would likely go into an outrage if it ever got made.
I can understand the costly cgi, but why would parents go into an outrage?
For reasons I really wouldn't be able to fully explain or talk about here.

Oh right, is it because of the mermaid? Or something else?
Well, yeah
it's obviously the mermaid's fault
Ah, I don't get it.

It's not as good as The Lion King ...well, I'm sure some people would disagree, it's just TLK is my personal favorite. Still, Bambi is a good movie.
I will watch some other Disney movie then, like the Aladdin remake maybe.
The Aladdin remake! Now with princess that's hotter than you remember and realistic tiger that's a lot scarier than remember
Also featuring an all-star cast of some Arabic and non-Arabic people in spite of the fact the movie takes place in the Middle East
Rated PG-13 for loss of innocence of the original movie.

Was that meant to be sarcasm?

Yes and no -- I was describing how I project the movie to turn out based on modern filming techniques and Hollywood culture. I do think my predictions of how the Aladdin remake would turn out are going to be correct -- but I don't necessarily like that idea. So yes it's sarcastic in the sense that I don't actually want the movie to turn out that way -- but not in the sense of actually thinking how it'll turn out.
If that makes sense

Ahem... how should I put this...
certain elements of a mermaid's wardrobe can be... challenging to work with in regards to keeping a movie safe for all audiences.
