It's the perfectly innocent and not at all disturbing tale of a young fawn who's mother is killed by hunters, and has to grow up by herself with her animal friends (all the while growing out a sick pair of antlers... I think?) Eventually, when the hunters come back, Bambi is an adult, and she's able to save (most) of her friends, except for one bird who graphically panicked and flew straight up into the sky, making her an easy target for... ahem... the hunters.
The movie ends with Bambi giving birth to another fawn in, confusingly enough, the EXACT same manner her mother gave birth to her. Leading us to believe the cycle will repeat
My memory of the movie is really hazy however so I only remember a couple of the key moments.
This wouldn't be too terribly bad of a synopsis, but...
I don't even want to imagine how upsetting it would be to see a very realistic cgi bird get shot dead out of the sky after visibly getting distressed and going mad right before our eyes -- because it was already pretty disturbing for a kid's cartoon to begin with.
What's Bambi? I don't remember watching it...
You don't remember Bambi? How sad...
It's about a young deer named Bambi, who's technically a prince, growing up in the forest with his friends. A little sad in parts, as most Disney movies are, but it's also a very good story, as all Disney movies are. It's a tiny bit similar to The Lion King (which producers called "Bramlet", or "Hamlet in Africa with Bambi thrown in." ) Anyway, it's a classic. I should probably watch it again myself.

I really want a Little Mermaid live action remake, Ursula was my favorite. I also want a not-terrible Snow White remake, with Charlize Theron. Charlize was good in her remake, but.. They ruined it with Kristen Stewart. They had a dull plot, sort of. Yet, Charlize was spot on as always.

I think they will make one in the future.
A little mermaid remake would present... challenges.
Parents would likely go into an outrage if it ever got made.

It's a bit like the lion king? Might watch it...
It's not as good as The Lion King...well, I'm sure some people would disagree, it's just TLK is my personal favorite. Still, Bambi is a good movie.
