When they really shut down the galleries, maybe we must start our own gallery.
I'd actually thought about doing this.. I've tinkered with web design before, never built a gallery but if I could pony up the monthly fee for hosting I might be able to come up with something.
Now it's a week without any changes.
I like the idea of setting up a gallery.
I could participate if you like.

I can't really afford web hosting right now because I'm trying to save up for a car, but if I do start hosting my own Gallery, you'll be the first to know!

When the time come we want to do it we need to take a look how we can implement it.
For now, i don't think they shut the gallery because you can still post.
When the creation lab closed you couldn't post anymore so there's still hope.
I posted today on the Lego friends gallery to contact the mods but it was approved and no comment at all.

I need to join your organisation. If you need I can do a little html and image producing. Even if Lego don't shut them down we can continue with the project and begin to get people on there because, knowing Lego, they'll shut it down someday. Have you heard of brickshelf? I'd take insparation from that.

Well what we can do, is extract code from there and use the basic layout. and change the look and add the optin to comment, make avatars, and so on. I would suggest look at different hosting companies before you use word press though.

Ah right. Yes, they'd very useful. I'm looking into it, I'll give you my verdict either tonight or tomorrow. I'm currently building a computer, and as it is a continually upgradable project we may be able to use it. Also it might be worth getting a place to discuss our ideas better.
