Leader of the Brotherhood of Makuta Valix The King of Destruction and Strategic Master of War
Name: Talyn Species: Matoran Element: Psionics Powers: None Kanohi: Kakama, but powerless Weapons/tools: Longsword and weaver's kit Appearance: I'll let you decide, just remember that he wears blue and has a Kakama! Personality: Kind, caring, and somewhat scared (I might add stuff as I go, but I'll try to stick close to this :joke: ).
Background: (Okay, I want my character to be male, because I want him to be a reflection of me. Can someone help me write a backstory as to why he is male? I'm having some trouble with it. Thanks.) Edit: After seeing some of the replies to my question, I can now write a backstory. Talyn was created before Orde drove the Zyglak mad, which caused all future Ce-Matoran, and Toa to be female, thus being a male Ce-Matoran.

Just a minor technicality: since the exterior of BIONICLE characters is made of armor, and because they come pre-colored, Talyn actually is blue, he doesn't wear blue (except for his Kanohi, which is worn, but nonetheless, its color was blue the moment he had put it on).
As for backstory... you would need to know who created Talyn in order to make him male. However, there is a slight problem: I already have the male Matoran of psionics XD and given that he was a very old prototype the Great Being that did create Talyn would of had to be very, very, very rebellious. Not to mention a little bit sexist.
Speaking of Alerak, I really ought to write out his full profile. I was going to, but it got lost when I hit the delete key on my keyboard when I didn't have the writing area selected -- I hate that browser 'feature' with a vengeance. A vengeance I say!

Perhaps make him either the creation of a Makuta, or an ancient Matoran, from a Great Being?

It seems kind of OP to be able to survey the entire universe.

Name: Alerak Species: Toa Element: Psionics Kanohi: (will await approval) The Kanohi Tal'darim, mask of vengeance. Allows the user to absorb almost any attack made against him, and proportionally redirect the force of that attack as an energy blast. This Kanohi requires intense focus to use and the user would have to predict an attack well in advance of it landing. Additionally, it is risky to use due to the fact the user has to let himself be struck while under the assumption the effect will take place. Weapons: Think of wristcuffs... and they have lightsaber blades coming out of them. That's what his weapons are. Appearance: gallery link Personality: Alerak is a terribly malicious sort. Hateful, cruel, and sadistic. He loathes all races besides the Matoran with a vengeance, believing that Matoran should have been the only ones living in the Matoran Universe. Alerak was and still is fiercely independent, and wished to solve his own problems by himself. Unfortunately, Matoran are weak, which effectively disallowed Alerak's goals of independence. Because of this, he blamed others for his personal grief, namely Toa, Makuta, and all others who were more powerful than he was, and thus, forced him to be dependant upon. Being a Toa goes against everything Alerak stood for, and in fact, he was forced to become one against his will. His only drive in life now is to exact vengeance on those that robbed him of his dignity, and all those that had made fools out of the Matoran. He seeks to unleash his terrible sadism upon the Makuta in particular. After that, his wrath shall be visited upon his fellow Toa -- but only after the Matoran race is safe from all harm. Aside from his hatefulness and sadism, Alerak is actually quite intelligent, as well as being very pragmatic and focused. Underneath his anger there is an underlying caring for all Matoran, which still allows him to perform his duties as a Toa, albeit, with a lot of baggage. He is never one to hold back his tongue, freely using his psionic powers to read the minds of those around him, and exploit their secrets: verbally or otherwise.
Backstory: Alerak was the first Matoran of psionics, and was a very early prototype at that. The Great Being Emarcee had created the element by himself, and created Alerak as well. At first, the color scheme for these Matoran was to be black and red. However, upon seeing how fierce and malicious Alerak was, most if not all of the Great Beings had immediately decided that the rest of all psionics Matoran should be female, believing females to be more 'gentle'. Additionally, the color schemes of all subsequent psionics Matoran was blue and gold to further emphasize the desire that they be 'gentle'. Alerak, being an undesirable individual, was placed in the Southern Chains, where he could do relatively little harm. For a rather long time, Alerak was indeed a very independent Matoran. That was until Mata Nui had created the Makuta, however. The Brotherhood had created many dangerous Rahi -- Rahi that had a nasty habit of attacking Matoran villages. These same Rahi, created by the Makuta, would then need to be fended off by either Toa, or indeed, the Makuta themselves. This infuriated Alerak, and he grew intensely bitter towards all beings that were stronger than he. In the days following Kratark's rampaged, Emarcee had demanded that Alerak, along with two other Matoran, be transformed into Toa so that they could all work together with Blarkrok on a Toa team. Alerak was opposed to the idea, and spouted insults and curses right up until the moment when Emarcee had intervened, and smacked his creation upside the head. No effort was made to re-program Alerak. He was transformed into a Toa with his current psychological state, as the Great Being valued free will and choice more than he valued a functional Toa.

I like the name of his kanohi, although I suspect there's a reason for it (also, the kanohi power seems sort of useless)
Also, aren't Turaga and Toa literally just Matoran? Same species, practically
I won't comment on him being the first matoran, 'cuz I don't care. However, I'm going to have to put a firm nope on Emarcee creating the element of psionics. I've always tried to shy away from having certain Great Beings do that sort of thing. Take Carthemon, for example. He created the first Toa of Psionics: Mnemosyne. However, I would never claim Carthemon created an element, especially by himself.
Emarcee couldn't have created the element of psionics. He could've been one of the primary Great Beings who invested into the element, but he can't have created it, not by himself. He most certainly could've been one of the Great Beings who decided to help create it in the Matoran Universe though! It would probably have him be working with Xitona then, which would be interesting. It's simply not going to happen.

Survey means to explore and record information about a location. To survey the universe would actually be a very, very, very long process.

Ok, thanks for your help! I think I will use your suggestion of him being a creation of a Makuta, who lives in the Northern Continent... doing odd jobs and errands I suppose.

Does it really matter if Emarcee created the element or not? It didn't exist before the MU, and somebody would of had to of created the element.

He could alao have been made shortly before this universe's Orde drove the Zyglak mad.
Although possible, Makuta never created matoran. Their pride always got in the way. Then again, this is an RP, not the canon storyline. To each his own. Sofós will look forward to meeting Talyn!

She does it by boat to place to place and possibly getting smashed. PS. She will betray Valix too.
