How is the word "no" supposed to convince me otherwise?
Because it is an objective fact that MNOG is canon.
It's like me saying "The earth is flat." I can say that, but it doesn't change the fact the earth is a sphere.
It is actually an objective fact that MNOG is not canon.
"Although the game was not approved by the BIONICLE story team, the fanbase still considers it part of the BIONICLE canon. Initially, Greg Farshtey said that certain elements of the game, such as Pewku being a "taxi crab," were not canon, although the game has gradually been accepted into the continuity. Another point of interest is that Matoro appears to use the power of his Kanohi Akaku despite being a Matoran; it has since been stated that Matoro's mask had a built-in "zoom" feature unrelated to the Akaku's power of X-ray vision. In the later story, it was revealed that when Nuju was a Matoran and a Toa, his own mask was outfitted with a telescopic eyepiece. Additionally, certain events in the game, such as Gali's mental link with Takua, have been referenced in unquestionably canon material, suggesting that the events in the Mata Nui Online Game are indeed canon."
TLDR: the game was never approved as canon by the BIONICLE story team, even if some if not most of the elements of it are canon.

Well, not all of it is going to be canon due to the nature of the media. You can't make a game 100% canon due to the amount of wandering some players will do to figure where to go next, or the mini games that the matoran do.
But basically everything else is canon, and Kapura's power is canon.

Name: Darren Species: Matoran Element: Fire Powers: His power is to do the do the impossible, but there are limits. - He wouldn't be able to do it for long without feeling effects. For example, he could knock pick up thor's hammer without being worthy, but wouldn't be able to hold for very long without either dropping it or losing his arm. - His durability wouldn't be increased tremendously. So while he can deal a hit that would break an unbreakable material, but that doesn't mean he is unbreakable. Kanohi: Huna Tools: War Mace Appearance:
I'm using the original post to reply.
Eric: As far as we know, Shadow Stealer's is the only one who can make gateways in darkness. My suggestion is that this becomes his rhotuka power, making it possible to create a gateway to where Eric wants just by shooting or touching a shadow with his spear. You could even dial back the toll it takes on him if you wish. I will vote to approve his original power when the FAC is elected, if you can wait that long.
Darren: If you can think of a way to make this a rhotuka power, then great. If not, I suppose he will need to wait for the FAC elections to be over. I am still undecided, so I can't tell you if I'll vote yes or no.
If you find canon substitutes/explanations for these abilities and use them, but still wish to have them approved, you can bring them up again when the FAC is elected. Depending on the results, you may then use the original powers.
True, you could definitely force someone to not feel pain if it was a power or had a psychic link. A self taught trait can be shared via telepathy or (Gali style) mind linkage. A power can be forced upon beings without consent. So is Pain Removal a power, or a trait?
Then I will ask that you refrain from using those three powers with your new RPC until our FAC has all of its members, where we will vote together.
*shrugs* It's not something I've ever even defined. And, Gali's mind link isn't a trait, it's a power. So this would be a power, too.
*shrug* It's not like Khetae has any chance to actually do anything write now, I'm just planning on using him soon.
So you're saying that Pain Removal probably uses the same mechanics as Mind Linking to remove pain?

Not necessarily. I'm saying, they both are random abilities that have no precursor necessitated, except unlike Gali's mind link, Khetae actually was taught this. It uses similar mechanics, yes, but also a few other ones as well.

For Eric I'll take your suggestion for now, and switch it to an innate ability/power later on. And really the toll isn't too heavy, it's more there so I don't spam shadow teleportation without repercussions.
As for Darren, as far as I can tell, there's really no limit to what a rhotuka power can be, and I could say the energy subconsciously manifests itself when needed. That seems like it works out.

Same mechanics, therefore acceptable.
...unless you believe "a few other ones" require elaboration and approval?

Eric: Cool.
Darren: When needed, it --uh-- activates. Perhaps he has an emitter somewhere in or on his person, but without a launcher to bind the Rhotuka Energy together, it just surges his body. Just a thought?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I just worded it poorly. It never leaves his body or mace, so he needs physical contact or something being done to him to be able to activate his power.

Not necessary at this time or for the foreseeable future.

He better shapeshifting to allow for a kanohi, because makuta lose their essence without one equipped. --after he evolves, that is.
Nice profile. Him and Amakka should cross paths at some point.

I don't think he needs a kanohi, if he doesn't have an socket for one. It doesn't have anywhere to leak from basically.

I must ask: how is it that some powers have no effect on him?
