I don't know where we stand on powers over Akelyte as if it were an element. I don't think we agreed it was okay. The best result we could give it was that it was a viral form of protodermis, which would mean that Toa of certain elements would be able to manipulate their specialty form of Akelyte. Toa of water can manipulate viral protodermis, toa of ice can manipulate frozen viral protodermis, toa of stone can manipulate solid and crystallized viral protodermis, and toa of Iron can manipulate purified metallic viral- wait, you cannot purify viral protodermis without the virus being taken out.
Power lance technology is a dangerous path to tread on. In my opinion, it should be limited, although I hold NO power here, so only if other people agree should we have a vote.
Yep
Akelyte, I'd imagine, would be something between an element and viral protodermis. It all depends. I want that clear, it DEPENDS. Thymos can manipulate it in any form it exists, but Thymos was blessed with it, by one of Akelyte's creators. They logically would imbue her with knowledge of it, even if subconciously.
Xije and Zakone found it, and it bonded to them like a parasite. It's like a symbiote. It's also far less potent than anything Thymos could conjure up. Xije cannot produce Akelyte anymore, as it is all in her armor. She can manipulate it, if needed, but with intense struggle. Zakone? His akelyte is just a weapon. He used to, as a Toa, be able to manipulate it, to a small extent, to put it in his lightning to give them an extra punch, but all of his akelyte is just...
Neither of them utilize Akelyte as a weapon, like Thymos. Thymos is essentially merged with the Akelyte Being. Xije can't produce any, and Zakone can't manipulate any, beyond it's initial form. Both of their akelyte usage is severely handicapped, to the point where it's more of a hindrance, due to the ridiculous amount of intense concentration needed.
Also, I don't think any form of metallic akelyte needs to be purified. I don't agree that any Toa can manipulate Akelyte. It's not just a skill you can instantly learn. You need to find some Akelyte, NATURAL akelyte, and bond it to you.. It's complicated. Or be blessed.
I only gave it to Zakone, because I intend for him to fight off several rahkshi in an attempt to save Xije, and he needs more power than what Turaga have. He doesn't need Toa level, just enough to put more than a static shock.
Name: Zakone (Zz-ah-cone) Alias: Lord Zakone, Duke of the Northern Fields Species: Turaga Element: Lightning/Electricity Powers: Zakone has the power to manipulate Akelyte, and produce it in small quantities, mental shielding Kanohi: Statica, Noble Mask of Stasis Fields, and a Mask of Elemental Energy. Weapons/Tools: Zakone wields a small rod, which functions like a power lance, amplifying his elemental power. This rod is similar to a staff, with three blades attached to the shaft, circling around a large orb. Appearance: Despite his elderly age and appearance, Zakone is actually very fit. He has electric blue and stark white armor, with pulsing, vibrant eyes, that shift color always. Personality: Vibrant. Electric. Zakone has an energetic, upbeat vibe, and is very easily excited. While not exactly the most typical behavior for a Turaga, Zakone is very wise, and gives out wisdom in very peculiar ways.
Name: Xije (See-Gee) Alias: Lady Xije, Duchess of the Southern Wetlands Species: Turaga Element: Water Powers: Xije has the power to manipulate Akelyte, and produce it in relatively small quantities, mental shielding Kanohi: The Nostos, Noble Mask of Serenity, the Nostos can cause feelings of peace and tranquility, making someone far more serene than before.. It can also inhibit higher functioning to a small extent, by pacifying people completely, if needed. This is useful for forcing people to calm down enough to listen to reason. She also has a Mask of Clairvoyance. Appearance: Seemingly proud, tall for a Turaga, and bulky, Xije uses her Akelyte as an armor suit, which hides and protects her true form, which is frail, bony and spindly, with numerous spider legs in place of two legs. She has dark blue armor, with shades of black and grayish blue elsewhere. Her spider leg tips are golden, but that isn't seen, usually. She has the same color changing, pulsing eyes as Zakone, but unlike his vibrant eyes, hers are dull. Personality: Xije is tranquil, soft spoken and serene. Xije is calm, quiet and seldom speaks. She is infinitely wise, with seemingly prophetic words. She is very kind and humble, and it is very hard to not like her.
Backstory for both of them: Zakone was created by Jellica a long time ago, and sent away for being a 'failure'. Xije and Zakone reportedly came from an unknown island, traveling to the Southern Continent to find work and a better life. They found themselves hired by Thymos, the Dirae Princess, to serve her and her court. From countless years of hard work, they were rewarded with two Toa Stones, along with their chief rivals, Kiesyre, a Su-Matoran, and Tejie, a Kra-Matoran, and a few other members of Thymos' servants, to arise and become part of her court. Xije and Zakone became the Duke and Duchess of the Northern Cove and Southern Wetlands, while Kiesyre and Tejie became the Duke and Duchess of the Eastern Peaks and the Western Meadows, to rule over the four cardinal directions. Xije and Zakone became closer than they were before, due to the often trade between the Northern Cove and Southern Wetlands, and thus their frequent encounters.
While Zakone dealt with storms and nature, Xije had to deal with the pending invasion of the Makuta in her swamps and marshes. Anakritis had gone with another Makuta, Thernolenos, to retrieve a rare artifact in an ancient temple, located at the heart of the Karzahni Swamp. Xije and Zakone also had to deal with a stubborn Toxica, demanding rare materials from their lands. They continued their jobs for the next century or two, before finally fulfilling their destinies, to stop a dark and dreaded evil from ever waking up, they had to sacrifice their toa power, along with Kiesyre and Tejie, to put Him to sleep for, what they hoped, was all eternity. Together, the two Turaga journeyed to Metru Nui, becoming the island's new leaders, after putting new leaders to rule the Northern Cove and Southern Wetlands in their place. While Kiesyre and Tejie drifted apart, traveling to Stelt and Odina respectively (still occasionally meeting up), the journeys made Xije and Zakone even closer. The duo have come into conflict with Makuta various times, particularly Anakritis.
While it is true that Makuta can create Matoran, I can find no evidence that they could create Matoran that were destined to be Toa. In fact, if they could, it stands to reason that not only some, if not all of them would have created their own Toa Hagah as Shadow Toa to ensure their loyalty even after they turned against Mata Nui (or at least replace the Toa Hagah they lost), but Teridax wouldn't have bothered kidnapping all those alternate Takanuvas to corrupt since he could raise his own army of Shadow Toa with a lot less hassle.
Call it a lucky draw. Only Zakone was created by Jellica, Xije's origins are mysterious. For all ya'll know, she could've been created by a Great Being to become their vessel.
Also, the alternate Takanuvas were, I think, also used to inspire fear. Fear that Takanuva could go bad. That any Toa could.

Okay, but how do you explain their Akelyte manipulation?
Also, I'm growing increasingly concerned with the number of characters you have; I really don't want any one person controlling the majority of the RP's characters.

Thymos gave them some. Duh.
Oh boo hoo. I can have as many characters I please. I don't use them OPly, and I like having reserves. I have always been known for having many characters in a role-play. There is nothing wrong with the amount I have, just because someone known to be heavily biased against me says its a bad thing doesn't make it a bad thing. If people want more characters, they sure as heck can. Besides, a good chunk I am saving for later on, but wanted to put their profiles in now.

You guys shouldn't be agreeing to these made-up substances to begin with.
Also, should a single user really be making this many profiles when FAC is already flooded with requests to begin with? Whether he means to or not YJF is pretty much launching a DDOS on the FAC.
Your game world is already populated with many characters -- I would encourage you to use them rather than to keep throwing darts on the dartboard, given that many have already stuck.
I don't want Akelyte or Toa-Rahi fusions or mutant Toa or any of these other Fanon things YJF created. But I'm not on the FAC.

I'm going to have to say no to that description of Akelyte. If it's not just a name for a certain virus that corrupts certain types of protodermis, then I can't agree to it.
I've also been instructed by and agree to kllyann's choice of restrictions FAC decisions to minor pieces of Fanon until we work out rules. Let's place the Akelyte discussion on hold until the rep holds the votes, announces the results, and posts the new rules.

Should've said something, bro. I'm not an unreasonable glitch, I'm willing to listen to people who treat me like a human being. I can tone down all the mutant and fusion stuff, and Thymos controls the original Akelyte pool, so nobody else has it except her, Xije, Zakone, Kiesyre and Tejie. But Tejie lost hers, having given it back to Thymos, and Kiesyre never had much to begin with, all he could do was sense where Akelyte was.
Name: EXT-02 Species: Sentient Exo-Toa Gender: Male programming Appearance: He looks like a standard Exo-Toa with a few bells and whistles. Powers: He can bypass mechanical security systems with ease, as well as connect with other mechanical devices to learn from them. Anything he experiences through any sense is stored in his memory core and is never forgotten, literally giving him a lifetime of experience from which to draw knowledge. EXT is much faster, stronger, agile, and more dexterous than a regular Exo-Toa. Weapons and Equipment: The standard Electro-Rocket of an Exo-Toa has been moved to his shoulder, but it is still functional. His arms end in two hands (with thumbs) that can grasp a variety of weapons and tools. They can also manipulate most objects. He carries a Staff of Fragmentation and a Staff of Disintegration that his maker gave to him, as well as two Rotating Shadow Blades built into his wrists. When he uses them, his hands retract into his arms, allowing him to treat the blades as if they were his hands. The blades are made of protosteel, and can reflect almost any projectile fired at them. Each of his fingers has a retractable claw at the end. Personality: EXT-02 suffers from a split personality, and switches between them at random. This is a side effect of his reconstruction. His first personality, the one he had in his former life, resembles C-3PO. His second personality resembles that of a hardened assassin. This is the personality he was reprogrammed with when he was rebuilt, but this programming failed, allowing his original mind to resurface. Backstory: EXT-02 was once EXT-01, a modified Exo-Toa in the service of the Makuta Ornirax. However, when Kratark and Vindurax came to Zakaz to apprehend Ornirax, the former Makuta destroyed EXT. But somehow his personality and programming cores were rescued (or stolen) by an unknown benefactor, who rebuilt EXT as an assassin. He gave him the Rahkshi staffs and the Shadow Blades. Soon after his reconstruction, EXT escaped his savior's headquarters and now roams the MU.
Notes: EXT has been programmed with speech protocols, because a mute character would be boring. I believe that yjflordofbio123 will remember this character.
No, but he was trying to get to the Core Processor before he was (presumably) smashed by Kratark.
Anakritis dislikes Makuta in her city in general, but she's willing to tolerate it. What she isn't willing to tolerate is other Makuta making orders in her city. Kratark quarantining the Coliseum would have caused her eternal fury, as not only is it in the heart of her city, it's also public.
She wouldn't like it, but she also wouldn't particularly care. In all likelihood, Ornirax could've simply convinced her to let him do what he wanted to.

Hm. Interesting. How much of a catastrophe is required before she cares about the Matoran in the city?

Yay, EXT is back!
And now he is part Gollum, part C-3PO, and part assassin.
