Was spliced with the resistances and biology of various creatures in the MU, namely Zyglak, an array of krana, and one of Nocturn’s species. The result was a creature with immense physical strength, regenerative abilities, resistances to most known toxins and elemental powers, four limbs, and the krana powers. The makuta found that the zyglak abilities rendered him resistant to their viruses, and he could not be given a vison power or element.
Zyllan wields twin colossal swords easily twice as long as he is tall in his lower hands, using his absurd strength to flick them around as if they were knives. His upper two arms bear staffs with bowl-like scoops on the end, effectively a pair of metal catapult arms broken free from the catapult. He uses them both for catapulting his foes and for rowing boats with colossal force.
Zyllan is a short, burly skakdi with four arms. He has relatively little armor as he doesn’t bother to repair broken pieces of it given his abilities’ nature. His organic tissue gives off a blue-green glow. His jaw juts out, making his fanglike teeth far more noticable, and his red eyes can be popped out on short eyestalks. Previously a skakdi warlord, Zyllan is now a fugitive within Vazrudakann's kingdom. He plans to make an escape and conquer the world outside of Zakaz...

Even earlier than that. We are pre-convocation era, meaning the Makuta have not formally rebelled yet, but the idea has been presented and they are approaching closer and closer to open rebellion.
Note that it has been shown that some pockets of Matoran recognize the Makuta as good people so this is going to cause some interesting things

Name: His name is not recognizable or pronounceable by matoran or most MU beings, though it Rau-translates to, "Quickly dashing toward or away from a threat." Though impossible to completely hear, his name might sound like, "Euriik" to most individuals. Species: Avohkah (possibly the last of his kind). Element: Lightning. Lightning speed. Powers: Lightning transmutation. Manifesting himself in a seemingly tangible form. Controlling electricity and Lightning. Traveling through conductive materials. Appearance: Jagged, yet efficient. Personality: Broken hearted and vengeful. Backstory: "Euriik" is more then likely the sole survivor of his species. He bore witness to the unaliving of every last one of his friends before fleeing this universe's equivalent of the Toa Mata. While on Karzahni, he always seemed to find his old mask, even when it was broken.
