1. Didn't YJF's character have a backstory that explained the gender switch? I do believe he did. I kinda remember him making him a fuss about it.
2. I personally think you are blowing this subject out of scale. No one was suggesting adding a bunch of new powers. Just a few fanon powers that wouldn't have effected the power scale that much.
3. Still if a Skakdi gains mental willpower it should be able to use a mask. Vezon is still a Skadki however iffy therefore making him an example.
Aren't Av-Kuta canon? I'm not getting on you for being strict. I'm getting on to you for picking on YJF. I mean we get to hear it in Slack every time you tick him off Please stop
1. YJF.... likes girls. I don't know why, he just does. And I don't want to ask him about it.
2. For any given av-Makuta power a lot of fanon is involved just in determining whether or not a power needs to be replaced or not. And even MORE fanon is involved in actually replacing that power.
3. I am inclined to say Vezon is fundamentally different than any other Skakdi that exist, and thus, is not a valid example of what the species is capable of.
Av-Makuta are canon but the majority of their powers would be fanon.
1. So?
2. So.. maybe 10 fanon powers, tops.
3. And your inclination is utterly wrong in every way.

Ugh... and now, for an ACTUAL profile. Which is what this topic is actually for
Name: Gahdra
Species: Vortixx
Weapons/tools: A tool she invented that uses a high pressure water-current as a blade of sorts. It cuts much more cleanly than any regular blade can, and it is sufficient for use in melee combat. As many Vortixx do, Gahdra has catcher claws. She also possesses a Rhotuka launcher that she occasionally uses. Her Rhotuka power causes a globe of water to surround its victim for a few moments. Not long enough to drown them -- but long enough that they are extremely disoriented by the time the effect wears off.
Appearance: I'll post her on the galleries soon enough.
Personality: Gahdra is... unusually caring for a Vortixx. She is of the belief that the matriarchy on Xia is morally wrong, and that both genders are equally capable of any job, and are equally deserving of any rights that make sense to be granted. In spite of this, however, she possesses great ambition. However, in spite of THAT trait, she is also opposed to being manipulative. She strives for efficiency and recognition of her works so that she may one day gain control of the society, and make things right.
Backstory: Emarcee noted the social structure of the Vortixx race, and found it to be both an intolerable and disgusting act of blatant matriarchy with clear equality issues. Based on this, he decided to create a Vortixx of his own in an effort to combat what he saw as a wholesomely vile practice. He purposefully created Gahdra the way she is with the hopes that she might one day ascend to a position of influence within the society, and somehow create gender equality. She has been programmed with strong beliefs on this matter. In order to make her stand out, Emarcee granted Gahdra a love for the ocean, in the hopes she would use it as a gimmick for her inventions -- which she does to this day.
The species literally lacks the potential to be disciplined enough for use of Kanohi.
Vezon is more of a unique being than anything else, and should not be used as an example for what true Skakdi are capable of.
The majority. Actually, the species lacks the discipline. They do not lack the potential, they just have not been disciplined. Corathe is the exception to this.
He is still Skakdi. He is no unique being, he is a SKAKDI. No matter how you desire to argue, Vezon is, and always will be, a Skakdi. Except when he's a Toa of Anarchy. But he's still a Skakdi, Mrqcm. You cannot argue that.
The Makuta's tampering rendered the species unable to use Kanohi. Period.
Vezon is by no means a naturally occurring phenomenon. He was artificially created, and thus, is fundamentally different than all other Skakdi. Thus, a unique being, of sorts.
I demand that her backstory elaborate how she went from Toa to Makuta Anything else I'm willing to let off the hook assuming Energized Protodermis was involved.
See, I kinda wanted for Crystalia to reveal that in an argument with another Makuta. Do you mind if I actually keep it a secret until then? Energized Protodermis is involved.
Congratulations, you found the one thing I can't argue about

While I can't exactly dispute Gahdra's unorthadox personality, I find Emarcee's interference very distasteful. He should not intervene this much.. Another GB would've stopped him..

I'm sorry, when was that made a thing? Never.
Vezon may not be naturally occuring, but neither was the MUans getting sentience. He is not very different. He is still a Skakdi. Period.

They never stopped Vellika I doubt they'll stop Emarcee, who's actions have done nothing but help the GSR thus far.

All I can do at this point is restate my stance on the situation.
The things you two argue about can be put into three categories:
Things that have no canonical basis
Things that have canonical basis
Things that just don't matter at all
Since two out of the three categories involve things that shouldn't be argued in the first place, it stands to reason that you are in fact fulfilling a personal bias against YJF, which is unnecessary, immature, and unbecoming. Why else would you argue about dripping canisters? This is not to say that all of your arguments are unnecessary, however, unfortunately a majority of them are. It speaks to your attitude and to the environment of the roleplay.
This is not a personal attack of any sort, these are only the calm words of an observer.
As for the dripping canisters, I direct you to the scuffle between Kratark and Toxica, where upon Kratark touching Toxica, YJF immediately changed his profile to include the idea that his character's canisters were dripping with acids -- even though they weren't doing that before. It was metagaming, and that's why I took issue with it.
You have neglected to address the reason for your unnecessary conflict with YJF, and so it must be bias.

Velika was inside the GSR, and hidden inside a matoran. Also, you're really just..
Xia is a matriarchy. Period. Corvus can be a male and leader, sure. But it's still a matriarchy. That's a canon thing, and it's unlikely to change. I don't appreciate how Emarcee is interfering with canon things, like that. He shouldn't have made a Makuta, he shouldn't have made a Vortixx, and said Vortixx shouldn't be both gender pro.
Xia is a matriarchy, and it should stay that way. It makes it unique, and something the other islands don't have. Don't change that for your personal things.

Ah, so the paragon of fanon and just inventing things from out of nowhere, suddenly wants to preserve canon? Why? To preserve a species' matriarchy (are you sure you're a guy? What kind of guy celebrates abusive matriarchy? )
I am not outright changing Xia's social structure. But I am introducing a character who's goal is to change the social structure.
Notice that everything in the profile is canonically feasible, and that Gahdra's goals are ones that would have to be organically achieved over the course of the RP, which of course -- is the fundamental purpose of a roleplay: to tell a story that organically evolves as different characters are introduced and interact with each other.

I know I'm not active here, but can I say something?
I suppose it was canonical that skakdi could not use kanohi, but it does say that they can indeed wear them, the only inhibitor being their lack of mental discipline. It is stated that ALL skakdi had been warped in one way or another as a result of Spiriah's experiments, mostly being physical damage or mental brokenness. It is also stated that females are even more violent and destructive then males. Even some of the most collected and calm skakdi could not use kanohi.
Vezon was a Skakdi, but only half of one. He had no acsess to kanohi until the Ignika essentially gave him a, "cheat code" or, "back door" for using kanohi. He had little to no mental discipline.
I highly doubt YJF's skakdi would be able to access a mask unless something or someone else physically or mentally altered her. This is easy for Makuta to do on an individual, but extremely challenging to perform on and entire species.

She, unlike many of her species, has plenty of mental discipline, as well as willpower to match. Indeed, it isn't likely for many Skakdi to wield them, but it's most certainly possible. Corathe is one of those few Skakdi.
If it would appease people, I can pull some things around and have her given a cheat code, thanks to Makuta.
