(you make me) that's what you do, (you make me) that's what you do, (you make me) That's what you do to me!!!
...Ahem. I had to break out a Weird Al song to do it, but I think I've proven my point
So please... before I do something I regret...
Be nice
I have never seen anyone threaten someone else in song before.
I have never seen anyone threaten someone else in song before.
You could say... that's what he does to me
You probably do the same to him.
The things you two argue about can be put into three categories:
Things that have no canonical basis
Things that have canonical basis
Things that just don't matter at all
Since two out of the three categories involve things that shouldn't be argued in the first place, it stands to reason that you are in fact fulfilling a personal bias against YJF, which is unnecessary, immature, and unbecoming. Why else would you argue about dripping canisters? This is not to say that all of your arguments are unnecessary, however, unfortunately a majority of them are. It speaks to your attitude and to the environment of the roleplay.
This is not a personal attack of any sort, these are only the calm words of an observer.
1. Brutakan/Axxonan/etc is an entirely aesthetic difference, Emarcee... Let people use it, and if anyone is confused, then the one that used it must clarify.
2. Spellbinder vision is a canon skakdi vision power but meh
1. People can't just do things differently cus they feel like it 2. To be fair, YJF has used magic in the past so of course I reacted poorly when he said "spellbinder vision."

1. You kinda can I mean, it's not exactly always the best option, but it's most certainly feasible
2. *cough* yeahhh, not my finest moment *cough* also, spellbinding in the context of magical application would be removing your magical abilities
1. Just want to interject. I don't know about all the arguments that you and YJF have been having. I do know however that YJF can be quite obstinate and stubborn and completely ignorant to sound reason, but you do seem to be fulfilling a personal vendetta against YJF. Some of the things that you two have been debating on aren't that farfetched and do have some basis in canon. For example you two were arguing about a female matoran that had a stereotypical male element. I point to Orde for that one. You have also argued about Av-Kuta which are in canon, as OP. Av-Kuta have less than ten of their powers switched. Among these powers are the main ones used for attack (Fragmentation, Disintegration, and Hunger for example.) I know from personal experience that fighting with an Av-Kuta isn't easy, and that a Kra-kuta would probably win most of the time. Also you are against Skadki using Kanohi. I agree that the species as a whole don't use Kanohi, but Vezon is a wonderful example of the possibility them being able to use them. Therefore special cases are feasible within the realm of canon. Also you are saying that Skadki will never have that amount of concentration. I dislike what you are saying here. A user should be able to state his character's strengths and weaknesses as long as they aren't OP or anything. Also you stated a rule, but didn't have it on the rule page. I didn't really think that was right. I would also like to state that you are taking a strict enforcement of canon to a whole new level. I understand that you want this RP to remain a lot more in the realm of reason, (I mean as reasonable as a kids toy line can be ) but you should be letting some of this stuff through. You don't have a lot of active members, and I think if you were a little less strict with your rules and maybe had less arguments with YJF that would change.
Respectively,
Keith
1. Keith, the GBs have a legitimate reason for the gender restrictions they have set. Such restrictions have seldom been broken. In the case of Orde, psionics was probably going to be male, but because of Orde's actions, the rule of thumb was that all other psionics Matoran should be female. Thus, I'm sure there are certain reasons for the rest of the gender restrictions. When these restrictions are broken, I expect there to be a good reason for it. We cannot allow the exception to become the norm. Ideally, 90% of all Matoran would stick to the restrictions.
2. The fact alone that telekinesis is a power signifies that Av-Makuta either have more or less than 42 Kraata powers, and furthermore says that any powers they do have are subject to heavy discussion and debate, all of which would revolve around fanon. It's not, going, to happen.
3. Vezon is a very strange Skakdi. First of all: he is an entity that should not be. He was defused from Vezok, possessing about half the traits of the being he was originally part of. He is actually quite literally the mental, intelligent half of Vezok, meaning that he likely has more willpower than any other Skakdi. He does not, however, possess much discipline. And in fact, when he was fused to the olmak, he quite literally could not control it. In fact, I'm willing to say that Vezon is more of a unique being than anything else. He lacks spines for goodness sakes.
As it is I am less strict than Keplers was back in the original RP. My philosophy is that if it is canon: it is allowed, period. For this reason, Toa of light are allowed -- something that wasn't allowed back in the day.
1. Createura personally would've voted that more dangerous elements, like Gravity, Psionics, Iron and Plasma be female. She'd also think Ice should. Also, you never replied to me on the Bo matter.. The only reason it's male is due to a typo
2. Quite correct on the latter, the vote was against them.
3. I highly doubt Vezon has the most willpower, period. Again, I do not think Skakdi wielding Kanohi would be the norm, but it is most certainly feasible.
@skakdi wearing Kanohi: While canonically feasible, it's almost impractically difficult since Skakdi have horrible discipline issues. It's best left banned like the Vortixx-Kanohi.
And Corathe does not possess such issues.. It's canonically feasible, and should be allowed. Not saying it should be ENCOURAGED, but it should be allowed. Same for Vortixx-Kanohi..
Please read the entire profile before hitting that reply/quote button. 'Kay? Good.
Name: Crystalia
Alias: The Frozen Queen, The Ice Witch, Makuta of Karzahni
Species: Toa of Ice (formerly), Makuta (formerly), Toa/Makuta Hybrid
Element: Ice, Shadow (diminished to point of being Turaga(stronger than Matoran) level)
Powers: Aside from the typical kraata powers, Crystalia specializes in Hunger over all else. It's realllly stronk.
Kanohi: Olmak (GOING BACK TO HER ORIGINAL ROOOOTS AYYYYYYYYYYYYYY), Avsa
Weapons/Tools: Crystalia has got Kiril disks in her armor, allowing regeneration. Aside from this, she has a power lance, but it's single bladed, in the form of a spear.
Appearance: Crystalia stands at shorter than Toxica, who is Axonn height, but taller than Toa height. Think of that as you will. She has white armor, with light blue and silver for secondary colors, with a pair of horns prodding from her forehead, curving upwards to the back of her head. Her feet end in bladed heels, because that's freaking awesome. She has two gigantic, bigger than Toa sized wings, which can also shrink back inside her body. Crystalia has four arms, and 7 eyes, 3 on the right side, 4 on the left. They are all white or light, translucent blue. Crystalia also has a tail, which she usually keeps curled up around her waist, it ends in a thin, long, surgical needle like blade, able to slip into crevices of armor.
Personality: Crystalia is cold. Literally. She strives to remain emotionless, despite her ego. She's a tactician, warrior and a scientist all in one. While adept in all these regards, she excels in transmutation. Crystalia has little to no morals, viewing everything as a grandiose experiment. She is a perfectionist, and manipulative. She is ruthless, willing to sacrifice anything, and everything to further her goals. However, she believes in survival of the fittest, and if you cannot keep up, then you are to be swept up in the sands of time, to rot away into nothingness. She has a strong loyalty factor, provided you can get said loyalty, she will serve you until the end.
Backstory: Crystalia was the one who tipped Toxica off to the rumors of the weapons within the swamps, and orchestrated Astrona and Zenila's fall into secrecy. Crystalia constructed her citadel in Karzahni, making it a literal deathtrap to enter, even for Makuta.
I demand that her backstory elaborate how she went from Toa to Makuta Anything else I'm willing to let off the hook assuming Energized Protodermis was involved.

1. Didn't YJF's character have a backstory that explained the gender switch? I do believe he did. I kinda remember him making him a fuss about it.
2. I personally think you are blowing this subject out of scale. No one was suggesting adding a bunch of new powers. Just a few fanon powers that wouldn't have effected the power scale that much.
3. Still if a Skakdi gains mental willpower it should be able to use a mask. Vezon is still a Skadki however iffy therefore making him an example.
Aren't Av-Kuta canon? I'm not getting on you for being strict. I'm getting on to you for picking on YJF. I mean we get to hear it in Slack every time you tick him off Please stop

As for the dripping canisters, I direct you to the scuffle between Kratark and Toxica, where upon Kratark touching Toxica, YJF immediately changed his profile to include the idea that his character's canisters were dripping with acids -- even though they weren't doing that before. It was metagaming, and that's why I took issue with it.

The species literally lacks the potential to be disciplined enough for use of Kanohi.
Vezon is more of a unique being than anything else, and should not be used as an example for what true Skakdi are capable of.

It was not metagaming. It was godmodding. There is a distinct difference. I do not dispute it wasn't exactly my best moment, but I do think it is fair for you to at least get the accurate terminology.

See, I kinda wanted for Crystalia to reveal that in an argument with another Makuta. Do you mind if I actually keep it a secret until then? Energized Protodermis is involved.

You do get to hear it, but not every time I've restrained myself

1. YJF.... likes girls. I don't know why, he just does. And I don't want to ask him about it.
2. For any given av-Makuta power a lot of fanon is involved just in determining whether or not a power needs to be replaced or not. And even MORE fanon is involved in actually replacing that power.
3. I am inclined to say Vezon is fundamentally different than any other Skakdi that exist, and thus, is not a valid example of what the species is capable of.
Av-Makuta are canon but the majority of their powers would be fanon.
And Corathe does not possess such issues.. It's canonically feasible, and should be allowed. Not saying it should be ENCOURAGED, but it should be allowed. Same for Vortixx-Kanohi..
The species literally lacks the potential to be disciplined enough for use of Kanohi.
Vezon is more of a unique being than anything else, and should not be used as an example for what true Skakdi are capable of.
The majority. Actually, the species lacks the discipline. They do not lack the potential, they just have not been disciplined. Corathe is the exception to this.
He is still Skakdi. He is no unique being, he is a SKAKDI. No matter how you desire to argue, Vezon is, and always will be, a Skakdi. Except when he's a Toa of Anarchy. But he's still a Skakdi, Mrqcm. You cannot argue that.
