Writing is a long and complex procedure. Plus, typing out the essay takes a long time. Writing an essay requires pen and lined paper, which I do not have access to right now.
I just read through this topic again, lol. I miss discussion topics like these... The good old days, before the Chima forums were dead...
Same, i was very stupid and just jumping into pandora’s box, i never knew how connected to this rp i would be and how much of a contribution to it, just wish the older users came back, sorry if i left i sorta forgot about these boards for a bit.

Hey, it's all right. We all go inactive sometimes, and we don't always stay interested in the same things.
I created this topic on the Ninjago forum back before the LMB's closed. It was a place for people to talk about how they thought a Chima and Ninjago crossover would be handled. However, nobody really payed any attention to it. So, I decided to reopen it here.
This time, I put it up on the Chima forum, because it didn't really get any posts on the Ninjago forum. This is probably due to a lot of Ninjago fans strongly disliking Chima. As an added bonus, I know little people who dislike Ninjago. Those ways, this topic would be better off here.
Now, let's get some rules out of the way:
1. If you hate Chima and/or Ninjago, that's fine. You're entitled to your own opinion. That said, you don't have any reason to come on here just to spark a flamewar.
2. Please don't take this as a fan project. This is just here so that anyone can come together and discuss how they would hande a crossover between Chima and Ninjago.
3. If you think a user did a bad job on a crossover, it's best you say that in a calm and constructive way.
4. Please keep your ideas organized and tidy, by discussing the villains, heroes, E.T.C in order.
And with the rules dealt with, that's it! Now we just need to share our ideas on how the land of Chima, and the island of Ninjago can cross over.

Hmm, if Chima/Ninjago had a crossover episode...what would it be? Well, if one is to truly make it special, and not the typical bad-guy team up, then you will need to weave an emotional thread into the story....and that can be done by....*drum roll*
Synopsis: Lagravis, Laval's Father, is weak and possibly nearing his passing. Laval, a much older man, is fearing that he cannot be an effective leader unless his father is still with him acting as the rock keeping his reign as King together.
The other tribes leaders, his childhood friends who are also grown, decide to help him and try to track down the best medicine. (Possibly an ancient plant that Fangar remembered existing eons ago, or something as such.)
When their mission proves unsuccessful, Laval is even more distraught. In fact, the story could open with Laval walking out of his father's room saddened and his head resting on a hallway wall, wondering how he could resolve this who situation as if it never happened.
Then, an injured Overlord creeping along the shadows of the Lion Temple for rest is spotted by Laval, who chases him thinking its an intruder. Laval Looks around, but cannot find anyone. The Overlord, who managed to make his way into Lagravis' room sees him breathing heavily while sleeping.
Laval rushes back to his father's room to see a cloaked figure giving Lagravis a bowl of "medicine", and Laval charges toward the figure screaming: "Get away from him!" Just as Laval is about to strike him with his sword, the hand of Lagravis grabs onto his son's wrist and pulls him back.
Lagravis is faint, but is in a better condition than previously. Laval questions the cloaked figure harshly, but the figure pleads innocence and claims he was looking for the Great King Laval, when he stumbled upon this sickly creature and wished to help.
Laval pushes the figure back and cradles his father, who holds onto his son's arms rather weakly. The figure offers more help, and Laval quickly accepts it with the promise that it would do no harm. The figure does so, but after a week he begins to act strangely. Laval thinks this is because he needs more medicine and goes off to find the Figure personally.

Haven't really thought up of anything concrete past this, but for story beats:
Essentially Laval allows the Overlord, who was suppressing Lagravis' strong will with his own "medicine", to take over Lagravis, acting as puppet master to puppet if you will.
Master Wu is sipping tea while sitting next to that magical candle we saw in that one episode in I believe Season 1. The flames go out and he hears the faint cries of Chima's citizens. Running outside, he looks above him and the moon is becoming encased in dark, purple goop....
0.0
Wu wakes up from his dream....
And this is how the Ninjago side of things would become aware of this problem. Again, not entirely clear since this is a bare bones idea at the moment, but the next story beat:
Laval would have to learn that he must treasure everything that his father taught him, but at the same time must mature and let go, take off the training wheels and stand on his own raft constructed from the logs of his father's wisdom and survive the storm...metaphorically speaking.
Lloyd, who shared a similar experience, helps him on his journey. The big reveal would happen, however, when the Ninja learn that it was Laval's fault that his father got this way. (Because, as every Chima fan knows...it's always Laval's fault. )

Oh and side note...there needs to be a moment where Jay & Galoona have a back and forth scene where she is innocently asking questions that appear to mock him, then Jay would retort back. At the end they would be friends, after he saves her from accidently stepping onto a trap and during the climax she saves him in a comically childish way.
