No, it means long before time had a name the Serpintene tribes either left to concur new lands or were kicked out of Chima due to their aggressive nature.
Well, the First Spinjitzu master was revealed to have created the serpentine. So my theory is that, after the FSM created them, he used the Realm Crystal to borrow some chi from Chima. Then he returned to Ninjago, and had the serpentine drink the Chi, evolving them. The only ones who didn't drink the chi were the Great Devorer and that one Anacondrai. That's what I think at least.
Interesting theory, very interesting....
I also have a theory that "Chi" is actually pure imagination and what's left from the Malestrum wars, from LU. Life/creation energy at its core.

Well Chi is technically water that was molecularly infused with the magic energy that resulted in the malfunction of the first Great Illumination. However, Fire Chi could very well have been created by the Phoenix using pure imagination. [br]

Wow, I had no idea this topic was still active. I had, in fact, forgotten about it.
By Lloyd and Morro falling through a portal while fighting each other.
That was a very brief and unsatisfactory crossover. It's like if the Delorean appeared in the Star Wars galaxy, and Doc Brown says, "We've gone to far back!" and they immediately leave. That's what it's like.
