Welcome to the Battle and Duel Topic! This is where people can challenge each other however they want, without influencing the rest of the RP. In addition, This is where we train Newbie's in how to battle, duel, and just RP in general.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.
OK! So, let's start with 5K troops each that you want. Let's start on a plain, the simplest and most common thing around here. I'll have my troops Khandish because it's not much difference. I'll help you out, and explain stuff as I go along.
100 Sheilds of Fire (similar to Roman Legionaires) 500 Tsur-Nemu (bezerkers with "flails") 100 Kharvach-Mori (light cavalry) 500 Enlisted Swordsmen 500 Enlisted Pikemen 100 Variags (Heavy bezerker axemen) 1,000 Archers.
OK, this army has relatively no archers or cavalry, meaning that you might want a bunch of cavalry with bows. I'd suggest using Umbar's main troops though, swords and spears and normal bows, just so you can learn in your main armies. so, choose your army and we'll fight.

I would disagree. I would bring a good amount of Cavalery to counter the archers and the bezerkers. And Arrchers to counter the pikemen and shields of fire. As well as some spear men to hold the line.
Something like this.
1000 worth of infintry (heavy spearmen.)
1500 worth of cavalry, probably 1000 heavy cav (lancers or cataphracts) and 500 light cav (horse archers)
2500 worth of arrchers. all foot archers. little to no crossbows.

I guess I will try these units. Where is our units page for the future though? Like what page of the units topic*-)? Actually, I might just copy and paste the units to a Notepad doc. I think that's what I did before. So, what page?

If you read what I said, Cavalry is the best force to counter this group, but he should use what he normally would use. As in, Let's say you brought this force to Anorien, and you met a random group their kind of thing. as Umbar he is less likely to have a large number of Cavalry then, say, Khand or Rohan. So use said army against this one.

Well, if you're sure. . . Also, your units are on the 1rst page, one of the first lists in the topic. Pretty sure 8Legos added one or two on the 8th or 9th page, you should probably check those out too.

we can't even agree on how to train a newbie.

Okay, I saved the units along with the 3 added later on a Notepad doc:). So, should I make an army to battle with first? If so, how many points should I get?
