With the return of quite a few users after all these years (LMBE Revival?! ), it would be nice to have everyone do a proper explanation of how things have been going since we all dropped off, So I figured we could have a topic to post life updates.
Additionally, with how small the group is now, not everyone may have known each other, so this will also double as an official introduction to anyone you don't really know yet.
With that being said, here's a list of some potential questions to answer. Feel free to answer whichever ones you wish. Also this is by no means a comprehensive list, just some ideas to start conversation.
LMB History
How long you've been on the LMBs (either the original if you were there or LMBE).
How long it's been since you were last active.
Which boards you frequented.
Any groups you were a part of.
How you got into the original LMBs if you remember.
Any fun facts like inspiration behind your username, favorite LMB memory, etc...
Anything else you wish to add for context, like particular topics, stories, or events you were known for.
About yourself
Basic stuff like age, current profession/education status, place of origin, etc. to the extent that you feel comfortable.
Favorite Lego theme and why.
Favorite things to do/activities you enjoy (besides post here of course ).
Particular interests/hobbies.
Anything else you can think of to tell us more about yourself.
Life updates (what's changed since you were last here)
What have you been up to over the past few years?
What are the biggest changes in your life?
Do you still collect/build Lego?
Have you kept in contact with any LMB friends?
Anything else relevant to what's been happening in your life.
If anyone has any suggestions for more questions, feel free to comment them!
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.

*cracks knuckles*
I first joined the original MBs back in... 2011 I think it was? I went inactive around the time of the update, then returned to activity in late 2015.
I've been pretty much active ever since I joined this place back in late 2020, though there were times I'd just check notifications and not CC as a whole.
I was mainly in CC and the Minecraft forums on the original MBs, occasionally popping into a couple others. Nowadays CC is the only one at all active.
Groups, yes... I was one of the founding members of the PARTY BOSSCRASHERS CRASH BANDI-CUTES! ...IDK that we were very well known among those outside.
Pretty sure I just went on the MBs (and Lego.com in general) just because my brother DoodadGuy was also there. And then I eventually ended up more active than him. XD
I'm not sure I was known for anything in particular, just being around, I think. I had a thing where I called myself the "Topic Stalker" because there were various topics I would read without posting in. (well, I'd sometimes just say something out of the blue )
I am adult from the state of Georgia, I work in an Amazon warehouse.
Favorite theme, I think still Minecraft. Because I like that game.
My thing is creating stories, sometimes I draw, mainly characters from these stories.
Past few years... working in that warehouse, though before that I was a cashier.
For the past few months I've been dating a guy who was on the Lego Gallery. And that's been going pretty well.
I don't do much with my Lego nowadays. Made a pair of MOCs a couple months ago, occasionally I get new sets.
I did manage to find a few on another platform, yes.

Hmm I think that's everything.
You were at least known for Flame's endless battle against the green sheep and leprechauns. I do distinctly remember years ago messing around with random parts and built a green sheep, and then followed it up with a Flame Force tank. I think I still have it buried in a bin somewhere actually.
No way, we actually live in the same state?? You're the first person I know here who doesn't live in like Narnia or some weird place like that.
Congrats on the relationship!
I do remember you on both these boards and the old ones but I don't think we talked all that often, it's nice to finally get to know people I didn't really before.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.
Gosh it's been a while since I've done one of these.
I joined the original boards back in 2014 ( or at least that's what the wiki says? )
It's been about 2 years or so since I was active here, I don't know why I stopped posting just kinda drifted off...
From what I remember I was mostly active in CC, Castle and Jurassic Park forums.
I have honestly forgotten the names of the groups I was in.
The Lego Mindstorms board is what got me on the forum originally, but then I found the other forums and liked them more.
My username is my old nickname from when I was a baby. My Nana used to call me Boomer after Boomer Esiason, the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals.
I think I was known for being a little weird and off the wall? I think?
I'm 23 right now, still from Texas. I currently work for an axe throwing venue but our store is closing at the end of the month.
Bionicle, because it was the best action figures little me ever got.
I most just game now, I play D&D when I can. Recently I've started drawing again.
Uh... I'm technically an ordained minister and can officiate a wedding.
I tried college/university but Covid messed that up
I don't do much with Lego anymore, I would if I had an unlimited budget to get all the pieces I want.
Every now and then I pop in and say Hi to the Brick Barons if y'all remember them.

Back in the day I think it was more so me getting into battles. Flame's been becoming more prevalent over the past few years, he is more entertaining I think. And I know the battles are the main thing I do now, but back in the day there were plenty of other things, I'm curious how much other people actually noticed the battles then. I guess more than I realized if you were building this stuff. 👀
Oh wow, yeah I think this is the first time I've met an MBs user from this state.
Thank you!
Yeah that is nice. I've seen you around but don't recall ever interacting.

I made the list so I gotta hit all the questions. Alright here we go, random word vomit of information vaguely structured as a catch-up post.
I originally joined the LMBs back in 2013, can’t remember exactly how I found it. I only posted a little here and there, just on random boards. I wasn’t really active until 2015 when Jurassic World came out, and as a 10-year-old who was a huge dinosaur nerd it became one of my favorite movies for a while. At this point I happened to check on the LMBs and saw there was a Jurassic World forum, I think I was one of the earlier "active posters" there actually. Eventually a certain crowd ended up sticking around which became the Sombrero Gang. I used to go by Legoaquilino, named after a Chima eagle OC (Back in 2013 I actually thought Chima was pretty cool lol). It was kinda long to type though so Con shortened it to Qui and it stuck. I think I first dropped off the boards around 2018, got busy with life and a lot of my friends had lost activity as well. I would still occasionally check in every few months until 2020, where I just fell off entirely. Favorite LMB memories include the Simon/Lowery wars, the LotR RP, The Bobby the Duck Saga, reading people’s stories, Captain Rex (not the clone trooper the other one), the weirdness of the Stegosaurus Steakhouse, the Pirate RP, people actually reading my own awful stories, debates about the most inconsequential topics, talking about Lego, and meeting new people in community chat. I’m currently 18 and a first-year student in college pursuing a major in business management. My hobbies include reading, drawing, writing music, playing games, and biking. I don’t think I’ve got any major bombshell stories other than just general life progression honestly. Probably the biggest change since leaving the LMBs is I grew up. I was always on the younger side of users so I’ve matured a lot since then (or at least I hope I have ) when I was a cringey middle schooler with no filter. My favorite Lego theme is Lord of the Rings, the theme was around right when I was reading the books as a kid and I ended up getting most of the sets. Also I had the video game and I played the heck out of it. I haven’t bought a new Lego set in like 5 years. I have however bought some *old* sets. I got into G1 Bionicle for a bit and got fairly good at finding solid deals on them on various online marketplaces and built up a solid collection of the guys. I’ve sorta kept in contact with a few old friends on other sites, not a lot but we’ve talked every now and then. Funny story is that a few months ago I ran into an LMB user on a completely random side of the internet. Was like, “huh, that’s a weirdly familiar username… hold up-” We got in contact and for a few months have been chatting about old times with the MBs. This got to the point where I was like “We’ve been talking about the LMBs a lot but I haven’t actually checked in on them in years”. So I did and now I’m here.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.

Yeah idk if I was just an outlier but I definitely noticed it very frequently.
Although I also built a complete design of the Stegosaurus Steakhouse from the Jurassic World forum so maybe I was just on a trend of recreating MB stuff with lego at the time.
All these other people are out here living in weird states like Nebraska or Wyoming or some place like that.
This may sound dumb but when you say a guy from the galleries I can't help but think of that one meme with the emo girl and the country boy relationship if you know what I'm talking about. I'm imagining that but edited like, "Is it really possible for a message boards girl and a gallery guy to be in a relationship?"

This is a good building trend.
I've at least got family from Wyoming and would get annoyed when my friends would pull out the "Wyoming doesn't exist" line.
XD I was on the gallery too, actually. We both knew of each other but never interacted there, oddly enough.
Oh boy, this one is gonna be a long one. Let's see, where do I start...
I joined the LEGO Message Boards way back in 2010, when I was a small 8 year old child. I began reading several help topics and then grew into reading topics on Community Chat, as well as some stories here and there. But I never made a post. I was essentially a reader account. It wasn't until 2013 when I made my first post; I believe it was actually on the old Master Builder Academy forum. I then started to post in a few more locations, such as Jurassic World, Star Wars, and Community Chat. By the end of 2013, I had become quite active, finding my way into the LEGO Minifigures Road Trip RP (courtesy of GideonF210 ), and the MB Asylum. I had also been introduced to Finding Friendships by my first friend on the boards, WaterDragon1103.
But everything changed when 2014 attacked. All of a sudden, I stopped posting everywhere. I had a life... or at least some semblance of one. I had no free time and I was going through a lot while I was away from the boards, and it got to the point I had forgotten about them entirely. That was, until November of 2015. I had just gotten some more LEGO Minifigures to add to my collection when I remembered my time roleplaying as the Roman Soldier. I immediately had the desire to go back to it and see what had transpired while I was gone. I came back and discovered the closure of several topics I was in, including the MB Asylum, and I had found that all my friends from Finding Friendships had vanished. My two main friends, WaterDragon1103 and Cookieyourface had both left as well. But I was determined to try the boards again...
By Christmastime, 2015, I had rejoined Finding Friendships and was quite active. I had began roleplaying yet again as the Roman Soldier (and a few others!), and I began reading more MB Stories and learning more about HTML for LMB signatures. I had made new friends, such as EpicTruth11, Boomer, Sweets, Maybear6, DarkClaw39, 8MissKuku8, and Essa Kryze. I had even found myself featured in several MB Stories! Christmas 2015 was probably my favorite LMB Christmas. By mid-2016, I had become one of the most active users on the entire website. I had learned enough HTML to create my own signature shops and help topics, and I had even become the consistently most liked user on the Help & Suggestions forum, and frequented the overall most liked sidebar each week. I became active in numerous roleplays over multiple forums, and I had even been given a seat on the LEGO Council. My group of friends grew exponentially and I was online for the majority of every day. I was well known obviously in Finding Friendships, all over the Help & Suggestions forum, Sweet's Cafe, my commercial studio with Boomer, MBs Onstage, the LMB Square, the MB Ball, the LEGO Council, the Minifigures Road Trip RP, the LMB Mansion, and all over the Message Boards Stories forum in general. I even tried to start my own story.
Unfortunately, however, life hit again. In late September of 2016, I had to semi-retire. I closed my signature shops, said my temporary goodbyes, and packed my bags. Life had me too busy to continue the thousands of conversations I had going on at the same time. By that time I had also already become somewhat active on a certain other wikia site... (shh) I never forgot what I had left behind, and I knew I always planned on coming back, so when I was finally able to in November of 2016, I slowly and carefully popped back into Finding Friendships... and again became one of the most active users on the site. I never restarted my signature shops, and I mostly stayed in Community Chat, RPs, and Stories, but I had again begun to come online consistently every day.
Then, January 2017. All those who were active during that time period remember it well. The end was announced. Everyone began to freak out, lost and confused. I started screenshotting as much as I could, then I began to use the wayback machine to archive as many pages, user profiles, and favorite posts as I could. Some of us retreated to other social media sites like the wiki or Discord. Some of us had nowhere else to go. Until we heard a rumor on the LMB wind of a new option... an Eternal option...
I managed to be one of the first few to discover the Eternals through hidden codes and messages on certain posts on the original LMBs. Eternal User #10, that's me. Eventually, more and more users heard of the good news, and more and more transitioned to their new apocalyptic bunker. It was a fledgling little site, not much to look at at first, but it gave us safety, security. When the originals finally closed, we knew we had to settle in and get busy keeping our remnant alive. Finding Friendships was reborn, and had become perhaps even just as active as at the height of the LMB days. We began our own newsletters, interviews, and created whole new stories and roleplays. The moderation team grew, and the design team expanded. I was promoted to moderator, then to designer. I created many of the new themes we still use today, eventually becoming an Eternal Admin. We had some rocky roads to travel, including certain coups and leader votes we choose not to talk about anymore... but in the end we created more memories like what we had on the original LMBs. That was our goal, wasn't it? I think we've succeeded. The rest is up to all of us.
So that brings us to today. Clearly I am not as active here as I once was, although I continue to monitor from behind the curtains, but I do hope to continue using this site as a means of communication with old friends, and perhaps even some new ones. We're all growing older (and certainly I am to be included in that statement, as I am now 22, and I've been in this community for 14 years, which is well over half my life), and we are all growing busier. In my time in the background, I have been very active on Discord in several different LMB community branches until recently, and in real life I have become a Tech Manager/Sales Manager/Assistant Store Manager of a Staples store in Southern California, with all the responsibility and time dedicated that entails. As one of my oldest friends, I continue to frequently visit Essa Kryze as well as BabyDill, and every year I visit LordTigress, MockingbirdInc, and Lady Narwhal along with them. For a time, I had stopped collecting LEGO sets, however now that I have a budget to do so, at least in small amounts, I have begun collecting much larger display sets. I am most fond of my LEGO Rivendell set, as well as my Technic Bugatti Chiron and two modular buildings. I am also currently in an in-person relationship which is going quite well!
Many of us are progressing in life, building families and becoming ever busier, however, perhaps the next generation of LMB kids may find the same joy in friendship through LEGO as we did? I certainly hope to keep it open as an option, perhaps even with my own kids I hope to have in the future. Regardless, I'll be doing what I can to keep this site going, hopefully with the help of the other amazing members of my moderation and admin teams (as they have done so much for all of us, please applaud them for their hard work), and I will look to become a little more active on here as well. Though, as my LMB history has clearly taught me, I shouldn't make any promises.

Though, as my LMB history has clearly taught me, I shouldn't make any promises.
ok now i will go actually cry for real ;w; ngl sometimes i still think about darkclaw and wonder what happened to him because its been so long but he made an impression on me for some reason and his sister kuku seemed really chill as well
Gosh it's been a while since I've done one of these.
Every now and then I pop in and say Hi to the Brick Barons if y'all remember them.
uh thats it.
i personally knew you as the guy who was kind of a pyromaniac and loved exploding things and bombs and tnt and all that fun stuff xD also state and age gang gang (we are the cool kids table now )
I first joined the original MBs back in...
Hmm I think that's everything.
oh my gingus congrats on the relationship : D and look at you having like a life or something smhhhh xD
