With the return of quite a few users after all these years (LMBE Revival?! ), it would be nice to have everyone do a proper explanation of how things have been going since we all dropped off, So I figured we could have a topic to post life updates.
Additionally, with how small the group is now, not everyone may have known each other, so this will also double as an official introduction to anyone you don't really know yet.
With that being said, here's a list of some potential questions to answer. Feel free to answer whichever ones you wish. Also this is by no means a comprehensive list, just some ideas to start conversation.

I was part of the Sombrero Gang but I don't really remember leaving much of an impact on the boards.
~
At the moment I'm 18 and in my second year of college. I live in the US, Kansas specifically. Yes, the place from The Wizard of Oz.
~
The biggest change is that little pink symbol under my profile picture. I realized some things about myself and I'm far happier this way, really being myself.
Also I realized my religious upbringing was absolutely a cult. Still working on getting out of there but I'm glad I'm knowledgeable about the situation. Realizing that RuleJJ was a really nice guy despite being proudly atheist was a bit of a wakeup call for me. Thanks for that, man.
I know we didn't talk much, but I think I remember you as being one of the members of the Sombrero Gang, back in its heyday.
Ayy, I have a college friend from Kansas. She won't shut up about it
Omg that's amazing!! Congrats! I've had a similar experience with my own religious upbringing. I haven't really left it behind, but I've been re-thinking a lot of things that I was taught growing up and slowly changing my perspective on a lot of stuff. I'm really glad that you were able to get out of there.
I suppose we’re doing introductions once more, let me see how much I can remember !
I started on the LEGO galleries posting, editing and creating short stories about my Lego friends and Lego friends in general. As time went on, and hours of scrolling through Lego.com, I discovered the MBs. I lurked around and read posts and posted a few of my own! I can’t remember how I managed to get so many friends and people to talk to daily. It seemed like one day I was a nobody, and the next I had made so many friends and had so much fun talking to them everyday and messaging them! I can’t remember when or how, but i started Sweets cafe talk, and I remember lots of fond times there! During my time on the MBs, i wrote a lot of short stories about adventures we all had, TheGreatCon, @brian, @king, @zwales, @qui, and many more ! When the MBs shut down, i was still very active on this board site! I’m not sure why i lost interest or why i stopped posting, i think a bunch of users migrated over to a text service, and it was more convenient to talk over there Life got in the way and i started focusing on other hobbies, games and interests, making irls and such. I got through the rest of highschool and then got accepted into university. What comes next? I’m not sure!
I've at least got family from Wyoming and would get annoyed when my friends would pull out the "Wyoming doesn't exist" line.
XD I was on the gallery too, actually. We both knew of each other but never interacted there, oddly enough.
To be fair though someone with family from Nebraska would say the same thing, so you can see how it's a reasonable assumption.
Just never ran into each other?
I've been through Nebraska on the way home from Wyoming. (and technically another time on the way there)
Something like that. Even my brother interacted with him more, so when I met him on the other platform I was like, hey my brother built that car for you that one time!
It's always fun to check up on this place every once in a while - I'm always glad to see the LMB torch still burning.
LMB History
According to the old LMB Wiki, I joined the boards on 9 August, 2013. That means that it's been over a decade since I joined! Hard to believe.
I made a few posts about a year ago, but it's been probably 5-6 years since I've been consistently active here.
My mainstays were Lord of the Rings and Bionicle, particularly the Role-Play boards
I was actually a founding member of LMBE, and was a member of the Admin team until 2018 or so. My one lasting legacy on this site is the "Eternal" Logo on the LMBE theme which I made in photoshop.
I had an account on Lego.com since....2006, I believe? It may have been a bit later. At any rate, I was mainly a gallery lurker and Bionicle.com enjoyer. In 2012 when the LOTR theme was released, I began posting actively in the LOTR gallery where I have many very fond memories. I moved over to the LMBs the next year, becoming an active part of the LOTR RP in the 'Rangers of Ithilien' faction and subsequently the 'Dol Amroth' faction. From there I spread out to other boards, mostly roleplays, though I would occasionally post in the proper chatrooms. When the Old Bionicle RP was brought to an inglorious end, I (somehow, I'm still not exactly sure) found the Gen1 forum where a few ardent RPers kept the world alive for a few wonderful years. Gen1 was my main corner of the LMB diaspora until LMBE was founded. I was recruited by Kepler to help out the Admin team. I served here for a few fun (but incredibly dramatic) years until my activity dwindled enough for my staff role to be rescinded.
My original LMB username was commandercody113 - I named myself after the best character in the OG Lego Star Wars. At some point I promoted myself to 'Marshal.' The LMB memory that sticks out most clearly in my mind as I write this is the fact that the Mods shut down the Sequel Era Star Wars roleplay before it started because people couldn't stop fighting in the planning thread...
About yourself
I recently got my Master's during which time I lived in the UK. I am now back living in the States.
Bionicle! Though I like LOTR better as a story, it wouldn't be fair to choose a licensed theme - and besides, no Lego theme ever captured the thrill, wonder, and mystery quite like Bionicle. I tear up just thinking about it...
I like to read, write, and paint historical miniatures
Life updates (what's changed since you were last here)
I got married to my lovely wife about a year and half ago and graduated with my Master's about 6 months ago. Very big changes, but very good
I still have a quite sizable collection of Lego though it hasn't grown recently. There have been a few major temptations recently (Tahu GWP, Rivendell, etc.) but the upcoming Dune Ornithopter might put me over the edge....
I'm still relatively well-connected with a certain corner of the LMB diaspora, particularly the Gen1 crowd.
Hi again! My name is Tigress; long for LordTigress, short for Tig
I joined the original LMBs in March, 2016. Somehow my brother MockingbirdInc had found his way there, and he was hosting a multi-author Minecraft story called "Journal of a Creeper", where anyone could progress the story by adding in a chapter. I joined in, and it ended up becoming so popular that he hosted several sequels, and a couple other users even made their own variations of the format, such as "Journal of an Enderman" and "Journal of a Ghast". I didn't really leave the Minecraft forum (I was shy ). But then... I got into Ninjago. Tentatively I began to read through the chats, and then I began to interact. My favorite part was all the fan-fictions, especially Brickgirl99x's Burn For Me (Skylor angst ), SapphireNinja1's I Want to See the World Burn (Jay angst ), and Maggie_15's The Time/Forgotten Trilogy (Lloyd angst ). I finally decided to write my first fan-fiction (Cole angst ), but I didn't take it too seriously at times and threw in Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings whenever I felt like it. XD But a few other authors, including SapphireNinja1 and Bobofoot complimented my writing and read the whole fic, and that began to make me wonder if I should write more in the future.
My avatar at the time:
The announcement that the boards were shutting down hit me hard, because I felt as if I'd finally found a place to reach out and interact with people like me. Similarly to King, I took a bunch of screenshots, shared heartfelt goodbyes, and spent way too much time saving fan-fictions that I wanted to read over and over again. I did transfer to the LEGO Galleries a little while after, and there I reconnected with some old friends including SapphireNinja1, and I shared some art and my new fan-fiction that I was working on. Of course then They™ decided to shut down the Galleries, too, and replace it with LEGOLife. I have a leftover meme from that time.
In 2017 I heard about the LMBE (either from people on the dying Galleries or from Mock) and came here. I was thrilled to find somewhere so similar to the LMB, but also so new... as time went on I felt less like a newcomer and more like a staple of the community, especially as my friendships grew deeper over the years. I pretty much stayed on the LMBE/BB ever since. I'm not sure I've ever had a proper hiatus or anything. This place was the one place I had that felt safe and consistent during some of the hardest years of my life, and I had no one else in my life except the people here.
The LMBE/BB contain my fondest memories. I loved chatting with everyone on Finding Friendships, as well as all the other chats. Some of my favorites include BlueberryJayPie's "Sig-Fig Mystery Party Game Thing", the bunch of Disney-related topics bun02 hosted, sharing my art, being a nomineee for "The Most Dynamic Duo" award with Gnuehchcaz , reading my friends' Ninjago fan-fictions and ofc, talking about Ninjago.
I think I was fourteen, if not fifteen when I first began posting on the original LMB. I was drawing cartoons and trying to learn how to write stories in between my school assignments in Germany. Now I am twenty-two years old, working on my Bachelor's degree at college in Tennessee, having won awards in literary contests and having my artwork featured in the school magazine, as well as having my first paid commission recently. This summer I'm going to try for an animation internship in order to complete the requirements for my Communications major.
My most recent works that I'm exceedingly proud of (the last two are part of animations I did):
My favorite LEGO theme is still Ninjago. I never really got into buying my own sets or mini-figures. The characters and their stories was always what had attracted me the most, and while I'm not super-involved in the fandom anymore and I don't watch the new seasons, I still have a place for it in my heart. Whatever the quality of the story really was, it gave me a lot of joy and inspiration when I really needed it, and for that I'll always be fond of it. ]
As many of you already know, I've definitely kept in contact with LMBE/BB friends throughout the years. After my family moved back to the States in 2019, Essa Kryze , BabyDill , kingwja , Mock and I have made a habit of visiting each other every year in person, and the memories made with them are some of the best I've ever had. Among several other friends that I communicated with offsite, I stayed friends for RomeNZ , even after he retired from the LMBE/BB. A couple of years ago we confessed our feelings to one another, and this year we finally managed to meet in person, despite the circumstances that tried to stop us. We've been officially dating since August, and we couldn't be happier.
When people were beginning to drift away around 2019-2020, I tried to resign myself to the fact that I would probably never see most of you ever again. I know I've said this multiple times in FF, but it makes me so much happier than I can say to see all these familiar usernames reappear and to read everyone's excited messages to one another.
With the return of quite a few users after all these years (LMBE Revival?! ), it would be nice to have everyone do a proper explanation of how things have been going since we all dropped off, So I figured we could have a topic to post life updates.

LMB History
Apparently, I joined the LMBs in 2011, although I don't recall making many posts until 2013.
I never stopped being active . . . although until recently I hadn't made a post since last August.
Number 1 is definitely Castle, especially Castle RP. For a long time, I would read every post made on those boards (hence my self-ascribed nickname the King of Castle). I also spent a lot of time on the Kingdoms RP before it ended and various other RPs. I probably joined almost every RP that was vaguely medieval fantasy themed, which was a lot, and most of them died almost immediately.
As I said, I was big in the Castle RP (perhaps too big). There was a Castle Gallery group that I was in, I think. I also spent some time in Sweets Cafe towards the end.
I don't know how I got to the LMBs, probably just by browsing the site.
I did write a couple stories, although I don't think they're particularly well-known (particularly as a majority of them happened here, not on the original LMBs). I also ran at various points a few different GM-style RPs, which I doubt anyone really remembers either.
About Myself
I'm 23, and I just finished my Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in May and started working as a Process Engineer at a greenfield EV battery plant.
It's got to be Castle or Heroica, even though I never owned a Castle set and only have one Heroica set. I really just have a lot of nostalgia for them from the LMBs.
I read a lot, mainly in the fantasy genre, and I like to walk/hike and sometimes bike (though I don't do those as much as I think I should). For the past couple years, my biggest hobby has been Dungeons & Dragons. I also started writing again recently, very short pieces that I exchange with a friend of mine on a weekly basis.
That's all I've got.
Life Updates
Well, I've graduated and I have a full-time job, so that's the main thing. I don't really have any other interesting updates.

A little bit. I probably get around 1-2 sets a year at this point, and I still have all my old collection.
No, but I have been here.
I got a poinsettia yesterday at a corporate holiday party.

Ahh, I remember Journal of a Creeper. I was in a weird position cause I think I was the only regular reader who (almost) never contributed to the story. I vaguely recall being involved in continuity arguments, something I still do when writing with friends.
i personally knew you as the guy who was kind of a pyromaniac and loved exploding things and bombs and tnt and all that fun stuff xD also state and age gang gang (we are the cool kids table now )
well still a pyromaniac, but my love of bombs and things that explode has decreased over the years. Finally it only took almost a decade, but I'm finally at the cool kids table.
based tbh pyromania is a good hobby LOL i feel that xD sometimes you just gotta make your own cool kids table when the cool kids are being lame
