Dusting off one of the most wonderful aircrafts to ever come out of LEGO, my friend.
Geez, i wonder how much these sets are going for, be it CIB or somewhat used with no pieces missing, i mean i DO have ONE chima set, but it's been MOC'ed to heck and back as a custom vehicle. Being that one vehicle set with blackened Tormak and fire wings Gorzan. Heck speaking of lego sets i'd KILL to have, the Ninjago Snake truck and Cole's Tread assault sets so i can combine them to make the golden weapon vehicle of one of my Serpentine OC's. And combining sets, i wouldn't mind combining a Raven Raider with an Eagle Jet.

I got Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider recently after stupidly destroying my old one, and the price wasn't too bad. The prices of Chima sets in general (at least on Bricklink) aren't too far off from their original prices, unlike, unfortunately, most of the old Ninjago sets, which have gotten way up there in price. That's the biggest downside to something becoming super popular, and one of the upsides to Chima being underrated.

Any helpful tips for a fellow collector? I'm working on acquiring Season 1 Sets, but for Season 3 Strainor's Saber Cycle is on my radar. (Any speedorz sets wouldn't hurt too...)

Looking back at the Mammoth's Frozen Stronghold, adding the Tribe Packs to remove the empty space if you will might be a good idea. I always imagined it being a fallen Mammoth Stomper that was used for holdouts near the end of the war, placed in an area where Hunter's can practice their speedor driving skills evidenced by the spears used in the Ice Vs. Fire set (the one with Sir Fangar and Laval), and that mechanism where you can push a vehicle out of its entrance.
Though about those Hunter speedorz, does anyone know if there exists 3D printer schematics for a proper looking speedor that can be used by the Hunters?

I remember when people made a bunch of Bionicle masks on that 3D printing site (I think it's called Shapeways, something like that), so maybe they've made some speedorz there.

Bummer. Nothing, but at least now I know where to go find extra Bionicle masks.
I guess its time to educate myself in creating one. And maybe even make Wicker's speedor a reality. I've always wanted Lego to make more transparent speedorz.

I was organizing my years and years worth of notes and I found my notes about my Chima fan project. I never really had the resources to do this, but now that I'm saving up for some animation tools I may do a animatic in the future. Can't really see this thing collecting dust on my shelf any longer. I'll do my best to summarize my notes, till I get them out again.
Okay, so there were a few versions of this: So basically, it would cover the Legend of the Lion who took to much Chi for himself as referenced by Eris in that one episode and the Lands beyond as seen in the finale with all those floating islands.
I wanted to change up the bad guys, so one of the villains is a fanatical Gorilla who in his quest to achieve the great mellow starts trouble. The student of an Eagle scholar searches for his teacher who disappears after attempting to seek out this group to see if the rumors were true and warn the other tribes.
The other villain is the greedy Lion. See, the Tribes had banished him in what they thought was the end of the world, aka off the floating island Chima rests on. He survived the lands below, along with others who were banished, namely a Vulture named Vafa.
The theme would be desert, introducing new desert theme variants of the Tribe.

Now the second version is super wild and was based on the concept art for Chima. It was supposed to be released for the 10 birthday of Chima, but alas...
Core Story:
Tribes of human minifigures establish several unquie cultures that each reflect aspects of a true warrior. (Wisdom-The Eagles, Courage-The Lions, Shrewd-The Ravens, Loyalty-The Wolves, Peace-The Gorillas, Will To Live/Strength-The Crocs, etc.)
One of the tribes tries to expand their territory and lure in the peaceful aquatic lands.
The centerpiece of each tribe is a glowing weapon chiseled from a material known as Chi, a crystalline substance mined from the now floating island of Cavora.
The Statue of Six Tribes sit below Cavora, the twist later being it is the earlier version of Cavora before it was lifted into the sky. As the land is restored, the last of the human tribesman peacefully passes into dust as the Mountain floats into the sky, signaling a new era. The creatures of each tribe drink the chi infected waters and turn into human-like creatures themselves.
As the tribes find one another, they are destined to repeat the previous mistakes.
The Phoenix were tribespeople who relied too heavily on their animal-changing armor, feeling pain that could only be soothed by the atmosphere of the sun. The purifying power of light changed them into Phoenix.
Alt:
They were sent to the Gorge as they were a reminder of the Tribesmen failures.
The armor that transformed them into Phoenix was forged from the glowing weapons of chi.
The tribe of Eagles utilize the chi to create an entirely new tribe to:
-In order to establish a neutral faction that would eventually unite the tribes through combating a single threat, however, this experiment reveals how far the Eagles have fallen in their disregard for life and how they see their creation as lowly beings.
Locations:
The Eagle reside in a floating island linked to other smaller floating island.
The Wolf Camp is surrounded by a wall of metal roofs, and in the middle of the Camp rests the Wolf Tower.
The Original Legend Beast Designs.
The Element of the Eagle Ruling Council.
The characters of Eggbert, Lobar, Ellis.
The Original Design of Wonald will be canonized as a young adult version.
The Rock of Six Tribe Statues.
The return of the Minotaurs, Snow Tigers, Transformation Armor, the Scorpions powers of neon bridges, (I have no idea what I meant by that, but I'll figure it out.)
