I'm...roughly a quarter of the way through now, based on the outline. In the words of J.R.R. Tolkien when he wrote LOTR, "I fear I've created a monster." Writing a story this long is as fun as it is daunting. If only there were more people here to read it.
This may end up being my last Chima story (let alone my last story) here, which is ironic, since it's chronologically the very first story in the Chima RP universe. If this is the last one, I'll make sure to go out with a bang, as they say.
Well, scratch that last part, because I've now decided to split Rupture into two stories. In viewing the outline, I noticed that parts 1-4 of Rupture tell a cohesive story with a climax and resolution, while Part 5 and the multiple epilogues (yes, it would've been that long ), despite wrapping up plot lines, also created many new ones, pretty much starting a new story arc rather than just being a conclusion. I kept adding more and more to the outline (particularly the Part 5 section) as I had more ideas I wanted to use, and that's one of the reasons I haven't been writing and posting the actual story very often.
Thus, Part 5 of Rupture will instead be Part 1 of a direct sequel, so not only will I be able to focus on and complete Rupture now, it also won't be a convoluted mess that feels like multiple stories mashed together with two or three different climaxes.
Considering how amazing such a venture is, truly, we all need a large physical compendium of the fan lore to read for future generations. It'll be Chima fans true G2, as the Bionicle enthusiasts would say.
I just found out today that Ninjago: Dragons Rising apparently expanded on Canon Chima's lore, calling the realm below/around Chima the "Wyldness", and stating that it was once ruled by a being named Lord Ras.
Completely contradicts/nulls my Chima "headcanon timeline" that explained the land below Chima, its creators, and connected it to the Fanon Roleplay, but I'd already pretty much abandoned that anyway.
It's cool that LEGO is still paying tribute to some of its best themes, like Bionicle with the occasional anniversary set, and Chima with lore via Ninjago. I really need to get back to the newer Ninjago stuff. I fell off midway through "The Mountain" season. Needless to say, my interest in Dragons Rising has shot up about a hundred times just because of this new Chima lore.

This actually keeps up with my fan stopmotion I made years ago.
I theorized a continuation where the lower lands is where Chima's early inhabitants exiled the selfish Lion who hoarded chi referenced in that one episode by casting him out of Chima. This lower lands were desert themed and also housed many exiled Hunter Tribe members who did not join Sir Fangar's quest to overtake the Phoenix. I think I posted some of this story line somewhere on the forums, but I still have the notebook where I wrote this all down all these years later.
So, could this Lord Ras be the exiled Chi-hoarder? A descendant of his? Or one of the exiled Hunter Tribe members? Maybe, in keeping with Chima lore, R can stand for Raven, thus maybe Reegull found a new stomping ground to rule over? Connecting with Chima Online lore, the incident may take place before the episode Fake Chi, with the game having him be imprisoned by the Crocs, later transferred to the Wolves, with his purpose being to collect Chi through mind control. Seems like a perfect backstory for this, Lord Ras.

Seems like he might be an Oni from Ninjago, but I'm not entirely sure.

I may be wrong, however, I do believe one of his sets was titled as a wolf outpost, with many wolf motiffs, but it is said his head piece is actually a tiger mask. Thus, a human entered Chima? Which if true, would actually call back to the original concept of Chima, that did have a tribe of wolf mask wearing warriors, their headpieces much like Ras in some fashion.

Backtrack: I investigated further this Lord Ras character, and it turns out there is a flashback revealing him to be a tiger child, so no humans in Chima...yet.
Perhaps he touched some chi and mixed with Tiger dna?
Considering all the realms melding into one, and apparently, a scene where someone puts on a wolf mask and becomes infused with elemental energy, something directly referenced in the Chima concept art, with the only minor difference being they turned into the associated animal instead of gaining elemental energy.
I've also learned there is the existence of evil elemental masters, (something I have always wondered about concerning Ninjago), which is pretty cool.

Well, this is certainly some interesting news. That Chima fan film will now feature chi-evolved Ninjago dragons! Quite fitting considering our conversation.
