Why do I feel groggy? The kind when you wake up in a cage. Except I'm not in a cage. I'm sitting on a roof ledge. Why? I was thinking about jumping.
Why can't I do it? Why can't I jump? Why can I forget her?
I'm sorry. My name is Lloyd Garmadon. Yes, I'm the Green Ninja. No, I have not gone crazy. Long story short, I met a girl. If you are a boy: Do not groan. Your day will soon come. If you are a girl: This isn't your typical Love Story, so go ahead and squeal.
She, uh.., she was something. I'll tell you that. Still is, I guess. She gave me a letter, and I feel like I need to share it with you.
It says: "Dear Lover of my Future, "I am sure you would like to know the truth of my actions. My parents were not the best parents. I believe they would have gotten rid of me if given the choice. "They struck a deal with someone. I am writing this before he takes me away, so at this point, I don't know who it is. Anyway, this deal was they had to have a child and he would take it away when it turned 13. That would be today. "I do not know what I am going to do, but I am pretty sure it won't be used for good. I think he is after my power, wanting to use it for himself. It scares me that I might use it for bad things, making me think that this 13-year-old girl is still a 6-year-old girl waiting for her Prince Charming to take her away inside. I'm starting to doubt that now. "I am afraid I must leave, now. Goodbye, my love.
"With love,
"Rose"
I feel sorry for her. The fact she had to put up with bad people.
Anyway, I think it's time someone other than me heard this story.

Chapter One: A Little Girl:
"What's the emergency?" I asked as I run into the Bounty's control Room. I stop in surprise as everyone turns to look at me. Mom, Wu, Nya, Jay, Cole, Zane, and Kai either look at each other, the floor, or at me. All of them have fear in their eyes. "Guys... What's wrong?"
"Someone had asked to see you," Mom answered, calmly. I look at her confused.
"That's the emergency? A fan?"
"We don't think it's a fan."
"They, uh, hacked the Bounty. They did it so smoothly, that we didn't notice. I came in earlier and saw we had gone off course. I tried to stop it, but they were some pretty good hackers." Nya turned to look pull something up on the big screen. "The message I'm pulling up appeared when we landed. I called Wu and Misako in immediately afterward. I walk over in front to read the note better. It was on paper and in very neat handwriting. A girl's handwriting.
"Dearest Lloyd, "Oh, how I loaned to see my dearest green ninja. I have waited for too long in this miserable chamber. If only we could meet at that safe and beautiful park. Oh, the park! I so often dream of us there alone. Happily together, with no one to bother us. Alas, 'tis only a dream. Perhaps someday we can meet there like in my so often dreamt dream. "I must leave, now. You will be forever mine, as I am forever yours. Be careful, my love.
"Love, "Yours Truly"
"It looks like some Fan Mail. I think," I state as I turn around. Nya shrugged.
"It sounds to me like they wanted to meet you alone in the park," Jay explained as he scratched his head.
"We did land near it," Nya pointed out. I shrug.
"Better make them happy, then." I start to head walk out.
"What if Morro happens all over again?" Kai asked. The other ninja voiced their agreements as I turned around.
"We were trying to decide what was best for your sake," Mom explained. She looked at me with sad eyes. I could tell she did not want to lose me again. "In the end, we decided to give you an earpiece and hope for the best."
"They're still hacked into us, so we can't move even if we wanted to," Nya explained as she handed me the ear piece. I put it in my ear and smile. "That little device should record what is said and transmit to us, and vice versa. We just won't be able to see you."
"Great. Anything else?"
"I wouldn't wear your ninja suit. We don't need a lot of attention," Zane stated. I nod my head.
"Be careful," Mom smiled. I smile back with a confident one. I couldn't let her know that I was worried about this too.
"I'll be fine. I promise." I wink at her and then go run to my room. I change into a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and a green jacket. I quickly slip on my green sneakers, and race to the park, which turned out to be across the street.
"Lloyd? Can you hear me?" Jay's voice yelled in my head.
"Yesss!" I hissed, wincing at how loud he was yelling. "Quiet down!"
"Sorry."
"How's everything looking?" Mom asked.
"Normal. Jay's parents are sitting on a bench few yards away." I smile at them, even though their backs are facing me. It's peaceful here. Then four laughing voices ruin it, and I wince at the pain. "Quiet down."
"Why do you wince and talk to no one?" A small girl is standing in front of me. She looks to be about nine or ten. She has straight brown hair, blue eyes, a yellow top, a blue skirt, and black sandals. I try to think of a good response that doesn't make me sound crazy.
"Uh... I don't know what you mean."
"Could it be from the voices you're hearing in your head?" Her head tilted towards her left, as she looked up at me with curious eyes. Her voice sounded so sweet and innocent. "What's in your ear? Is that where the voices are coming from?"
"Lloyd. Who are you talking to?" Mom's concern started to grow. I stare at the little girl with a new interest. *How does she know so much?* I wondered.
"Lloyd. Is that your name? It's a nice name. My name is Rose."
"Where's your family?" I look around to see anyone looking at the girl, but no one was facing our direction. I look back down. "Where are you from? Are you lost?" I bend down on one knee so her eye level is with mine, and she doesn't have to strain her neck looking up at me.
"I'm not lost. Why are you here?"
"I, uh, had someone I was going to meet."
"You got my letter?" She looked at me with big innocent eyes, which were now changing to wonder, and suddenly, I was confused. "You are the green ninja?"
"How did you-"
"I'm afraid your friends can't listen to the rest of this conversation." She pulled the earpiece out of my ear and crushed it.
"Hey!" She looked at me with a hunger in her eyes.
"Now for the real fun." I look at her with confusion as her voice went from the little girl to a more mature woman's voice. It was deeper and sounded like it was hungry for something. "Go to a deep sleep, and let my words wash over you as you relax." I tried to fight staying awake, but it was no use. I started to relax and feel calm. Before my eyes feel completely shut, I was pretty sure I saw her appearance start to "change".
**************
"Lloyd! Wake up!" I jerk awake as a splash of cold water hits my face. I wake up on a dock of a ship, and five people in colored ninja suits standing around me. One has spiky brown hair and a red suit. Another has short brown hair, a cut on his right eyebrow, and a blue suit. The only girl of the group has black hair to her shoulders and a maroon and blue suit. The next one is completely silver, from his hair that stands straight up to his feet on the ground. He's wearing a silver outfit and has blue glowing eyes. The last one has black, messy hair, a green-like scar next to his left eye, and is wearing a black ninja outfit.
"What?" I ask, confused.
"Thank goodness you've woken up. I don't know what we would have done if you didn't." My eyebrows raise as the Blue Ninja talks. I blink a few times to make sure I'm not dreaming. The faces smile at me, and I try to give a convincing smile back that I know them. Apparently, I didn't succeed because the Maroon Ninja whispered something to the Silver Ninja, and he ran off towards, what I figured to be, the Private Chambers of the Captain.
"Lloyd? Are you okay?" the Black Ninja asked.
I take a breath, bracing myself to give them the bad news, and say, "Yeah. I just, uh, don't know who you are."
I apologize for not putting up a new part in a while. I have been experiencing some writer's block, and still haven't moved passed it. Hopefully, I will get past it soon.
I apologize for not putting up a new part in a while. I have been experiencing some writer's block, and still haven't moved passed it. Hopefully, I will get past it soon.
I have a different problem. My story might be crushed by actual canon, which is what I want, but it doesn't help with motivation.

The Blue and Black Ninja look at each other and then me. The Maroon and Red just stare at me in shock. The Maroon then goes into the Red Ninja's arms; both of them embracing each other. I look over to see the Silver Ninja coming back with an older couple. The man has a white braid that goes in between his shoulder blades, a long, white beard and mustache that goes down to his torso, and he is wearing white robes and a circular, straw, brownish-yellowish hat. The woman has long, gray hair that is pulled back into a braid down her back, small round classes, dimples, and she is wearing an adventure-looking outfit. The outfit includes a green scarf and pants, a khaki shirt, and a belt. The woman looks oddly familiar. So familiar, I can't help but stare at her.
"Lloyd!" I stand up as she hurries to me in excitement. As if the motions were automatic, I spread my arms out and embrace her. It feels... right.
"Hey..." I try to continue, but I can't remember the rest of the sentence. Instead, my voice trails off. I keep holding her for a minute, to cover up my embarrassment. Sadness starts to fill me when I have to let go. I give her a small, sad smile as she searches my eyes for an answer.
"Lloyd?" Her voice is soft and gentle, but also with sadness and caution. "What's wrong?" I look around at everyone, not certain at what to expect, but to my surprise, they are giving me small smiles of sadness, yet support. This woman must be really important to me.
"Well, uh..."
"Hey, Misako!" I turn around in confusion and surprise. The Blue Ninja starts talking immediately. "This is an amazing mother-son moment, but who is flying the Destiny's Bounty?" My eyebrows went up when he said "mother-son moment". Then the reality of "flying" hits me.
"What?" I ask in surprise. I run over to the edge and look over. "Did I say "flying"? I meant steering. Oops." I swallow hard as I see a city below me. "Way to go, Jay. Now she'll know." "What's wrong with my son?" "We don't know," the Blue Ninja confessed. "When he woke up, he claimed to have no memory of us," another voice says. I back away from the ledge, into some crates. I fall down to the floor. My vision starts to blur as I take deep breaths. "Lloyd?" I can barely make out my Mom. Her voice is filled with concern. Then I black out.
**************
"Hi, Lloyd." Nothing. I see nothing. I can't even tell if I'm blinking. However when I look down, I can see my own Green Ninja suit on me. It's almost like I'm glowing. Really? "I'm behind you, silly." I turn around to find a golden ball. It floats a few feet from my face. "There we are." "Who are you?" I ask cautiously. A pause of silence follows, almost as if it was thinking. "I'm... I can be many things." I look at it confused. "You... can be "many things"?" "Yes. For example, I'm a girl, but I'm also borrowing your memories." "Memories" catches me by surprise. "My memories?" "Did I not just say that?" "Why do you have them? I want them back!" I hate not knowing my own mother. "You'll get them back. In due time, of course." "I want them now!" Silence feels the air. "They're my memories. Besides, I don't think I gave you permission." I feel like a helpless child. "Oh, you did. I'll show you." A flash of white light blinds me, and I'm in a park.
**************
I see a boy with golden-blond hair and green eyes that look as if they have a golden sparkle in them, even though, they don't. He, like me, is wearing a green ninja suit. That's when I realize he is me. The Gold Ball is in front of him.
"Just watch." I jump at the Golden Ball's voice next to me. I notice that it looks fuzzy at certain points at the edges. Interesting.
"I just need to borrow them for a bit. I want to make sure you are remembering things well."
"You'll give them back to me afterwards?"
"As soon as I'm done with them. I promise."
"You said that no one will see this, right?"
"We are frozen in time. Just as I said."
"Ok. I agree." Golden lines of light flow from my mind to the ball. Then I collapse on the floor. Why would I agree? I wonder. A flash of light, and I'm back in the darkness.
"How does this sound? I'll give you back to them bit by bit. Unless you would rather have them all at once."
"No. I'll take them bit by bit."
"Good. It should start after you wake up. Bye now."
"Wa-" Before I know it, I am knocked back out of the darkness.
Images flash through my eyes. Snakes, Skeletons, Ninja, a ship, and...
"Dad." I mumble to myself as I sit up. I am on a bed in my old room. Why haven't I seen him? Is he hurt? "I gotta help him." I get up, and head out of the room. Then, I run into Jay in the hall.
"Hey, Lloyd. How do you feel?"
"I'm fine, Jay. Just... fine." I keep walking, waiting for it to hit him.
"Oh... Wait did you just...? Lloyd!" I stop so he can catch up. "You just said my name!"
"I did."
"You remember?!"
"Not everything."
"Oh. Well... That's better than nothing... Right?"
"Yeah."
"How far do you remember?"
"Um... Great Devour's death."
"That's it?"
"Yeah."
"At least you remember becoming the Green Ninja."
"I don't, actually."
"What?"
"I don't remember that."
"Oh... That's odd..."
"Yeah."
"Right... Where you headed?"
"No where major."
"Ok. Be careful." I nod my head and walk off. I head over to the Bounty's Deck to where I passed out earlier that day. I look over the side. We are flying over a desert. I hop up and stand on the edge.
"I can do this. I can do this," I mumble to myself. I take a deep breath and... jump. Surely enough, I think. I'll get something so I can live. Just as the thought finishes, a memory starts to surface.
I quickly use my energy and my green and gold dragon appears. I smile appears on my face as I head back to Ninjago City. Time for a history lesson. I land in front of the Ninjago museum. There is a class of students lined up outside.
"Look! It's the Green Ninja!" Thinking quickly, I turn around and smile at the kids. I notice that the girls look at me like they're in love with me and the boys look at me like I jumped in a volcano and lived. I notice that both genders seem to have a gleam of hope on their eyes. *Just because I don't remember doesn't mean I have to let these kids down.* I decide.
"Hey kids," I say as I walk over to them. "You came to learn some neat stuff, right?"
"Yeah," they cheer at me, beaming lime there is no tomorrow. Well, there might not be for me...
"And you're going to be on your best behavior?" I try to keep it simple. They nod their heads obediently. "Great. I now give you permission to have fun." They hurry inside, cheering, as the doors open.
"Thank you for encouraging them." I turn to see a young woman. She has dirty-blond hair, blue eyes, and glasses. She's wearing a pink shirt, a black skirt, and sandals.
"You're welcome." She blushes a little and hurries in after them. I look down and see a dandelion among the grass. I smirk and head begin to head in. As soon as I touch the doorknob, I begin to feel like I got hit in the head with a baseball bat as images of my past fill my head. Soon, it's to much, and I fall down into the world of unconscious.
"Dad!" I open my eyes to see myself. I'm exactly the same, except my clothes are torn, and I look as if I was in a recent battle. I stand helpless on a brown surface that has lava next to it. I look to where "my" eyes are looking and see my father battling the Ninja on a small island. All five of them. Dad has a sword, but it's not enough to stop them. I turn around to see "myself" trying to find a safe way to get over there, but there isn't one. "Dad!" Tears start to roll down my eyes.
"This can't be right," I mumble to myself, but I have no reason to prove that it isn't. I watch helplessly as all five Ninja overpower my dad. His sword falls out into the lava, and he falls down. He's on the edge of the island. This is when I notice that the lava is rising, little by little.
"No!!!" "I" yell. Soon, the lava burns all four of his hands. He screams and cries out in agony, but the Ninja don't help him. They're faces are grim, and stern. They meant to do this. "Ninja are suppose to help those in need!" I turn around and see that I have an angry look on my face. I turn around to see Kai kicks my father into the lava. "Father!" I fall to my knees, blinded by tears. This isn't real, I think. This can't be real. I have no choice to believe it. I look up and see the Ninja. Anger starts to bubble up inside me. "You'll pay for this. All of you will!" With that statement, I am whisked out of the darkness.
---------
I wake up panting. I try to regain control of my breath, but it seems almost impossible.
"It's okay, Lloyd. You're safe." I turn my head to see I'm back in my old room, with my mother sitting beside my bed. "Everything will be alright." I swallow hard. I decide not to tell anyone what I saw, and just to leave it to myself. There is no way I can remind my Mom. Besides, I want to try to comprehend everything.
The next few days are a blur. I'm on strict stay-in-bed regulation. Every time I have to use the bathroom, I open the door to see one of the Ninja. They escort me to the bathroom and back to my room. My meals are served to me in my room.
Every time I think of the memory, my anger starts to build towards the Ninja. I try to keep my calm, but it gets harder everyday. One day, I have such a hard time, I have to get out of the room. I walk out into the hall to see Jay guarding me.
"Lloyd!" Jay looked kinda surprised. He seemed like he didn't know what to do. "Do, uh, you need to, uh, *go*?"
"No. I just need some fresh air." I decide to be honest. I try to swallow my anger down when I talk.
"I, uh, don't know if you can do that..."
"Why not?" I try not to sound angry, but I can't help the little but that slips out.
"Well, uh... you kinda ran away..."
"I know."
"Oh... I didn't know if you remembered..."
"I remember a lot more than you think." I can not stop the comment.
"What do you mean?" He looks at me confused. This is when I give up on fresh air and head back in the room. "Lloyd?" I shut the door in front of his face.
I sit on the bed with my hands in fists. There's a knock on the door and I hear Mom's voice.
"Lloyd? May I come in?" The door opens without my reply. I don't even look away from the wall. She sits next to me and starts rubbing my back. I can tell the others are standing near the door. "What's wrong, Lloyd?" I swallow hard. I don't dare tell her. She's been acting like they didn't do anything, so I assume she doesn't know.
"Nothing," I eventually spit out. Even then, it's still a little harsh. My hands form fists a little more tightly than before. I can't even imagine the hate showing through my eyes. I'm not even trying to hide it anymore. My Mom swallows hard before asking again.
"Lloyd, something is obviously bothering you."
"Nothing, Mother. I am fine." My response is a little harsher this time, but I don't seem to regret it. She looks back at the others and nods her head. Someone rushes out to go get my Uncle. I clench my teeth to keep from yelling at someone. Mom keeps her hand on my back, rubbing it, and trying to calm me down, but it's no use. I've tried everything to calm down. I even tried convincing myself that the "memory" wasn't real, but I can never find a good reason as to why it isn't. Wu comes in a moment later and has everyone but Zane leave.
"I might need a little help," the old man whispers to the silver droid. I bet he commanded them to destroy my father, I think. Wu walks over to where Mom was sitting, but doesn't sit down himself. I force myself to look up into his eyes. I can't stop the look I give him. No matter how much I try. It is made of pure anger. "Lloyd. I don't know what you saw, but it isn't true."
"How do you know?!" I almost yell at him. "You have no idea what I've seen!" Tears start to form in my eyes, and I try to hold them back. Zane looks bewildered. I think I convinced him that I'm a completely different person.
"It has to be something that you have clearly believed is real, for nothing true has ever made you this angry!" I clench my teeth. "Now. What has been tampering with your memories?"
"I don't know!"
"Yes, you do! Protecting it does not help yourself." His voice has become very stern.
"What if I trust it?!" This puts him in silence. "What if I believe it is telling me the truth?!"
"Well, it obviously isn't."
"How do you know?!" I yell it. Loud and hard. There is no stopping the tears in my eyes from rolling down my face.
"Lloyd," his voice is a lot calmer now. "Tell me what you saw. I can help you."
"Why should I? You've never had the power to help me. You're just a weak old man!"
"Zane!" Something enters the side of my neck, and I am forced to go to sleep. As I go down, I fight hard to give my Uncle one last look. One that says, I never loved you.
"Lloyd. I want you to know that I didn't want to show you that, but you gave me no choice." I'm sitting with my back to the ball. I really just want to be alone. "You were just to close to finding out. I couldn't put that on yourself. Besides, it wasn't in the museum anyway. Took away from the Ninja's "good form"."
"Who are you?" I decide to ask.
"What?"
"Who are you? If not who, then what? I know nothing about you, and you seem to know everything about me." The Ball pondered on this a little.
"Fair point. I guess it can't hurt to show you my true form." Curious, I turn around just in time to see the ball transform into a young girl around my age. My mouth drops down just at the sight of her. She has dark her that comes a bit past her shoulders, piercing blue eyes, olive skin, and perfect white teeth that are forming a beautiful smile. She's wearing capris, a light blue shirt, and brown sandals. She's got to be the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. "Happy, now?" I swallow.
"Why would you keep that from me? You're beautiful." She blushes a little. "What's your name?"
"Rose."
"That's a pretty name, too. Why didn't you tell me?"
"I don't know... I guess you would become afraid."
"Of you? Never." She giggles and comes sits next to me. "How did you do that?"
"I can absorb powers. As in, I can touch a person, and I can use their power. Without, taking it away, that is. One day, I just happened to touch someone, and they had the power of form. Next thing I know, I can transform into anything and anyone I want. This is just my normal look."
"That is so cool," I say with a smile. "Wish I could transform into whatever I want."
"Yeah... It can be handy." We sit in a moment of silence.
"Thank you." She looks up at me. "For helping me." She smirks at me.
"You're welcome." With that, we share a kiss.
****************
I wake up on my bed, feeling nothing. Not anger, happiness, not even longing. I sit up and stare at the door. Soon, sadness starts to flow through me, as I remember the kiss. After a minute or so of just sitting there, I notice that I'm not alone in the room. I turn to see Wu. Anger starts to bubble up inside me at the sight of him.
"Have a nice nap?" I don't dare answer him. He sighs. "Lloyd, we can't help you if you don't tell us what's wrong."
"Who ever said something was wrong?!"
"No one needed to. We can tell-"
"You can tell? I highly doubt that. Especially after you ordered the Ninja to-" Something stops me from spitting out the rest. I try to continue, but something prevents me from doing so.
"What? I ordered them to do what?" Wu looks at me with worried eyes. He is so close to find out. Suddenly, out of no where, I start coughing my head off. "Lloyd?" Wu keeps shouting my name here and there. I also had to lay down and close my eyes, too. It slowly starts to slow down, and eventually I stop.
"Lloyd?" I open my eyes, suddenly tired and sleepy, to see my mom by my bed.
"Mom," I say weakly. "I-I'm so-"
"Shh. Everything will be alright," she tells me, holding my hand. "I promise." Then, I close my eyes, and actually fall asleep.
******
I wake up to Mom still holding my hand, sitting on a chair, and her head resting on the bed. Her eyes are closed. I give a small smile at the sight of her. It's probably the first time I have smiled in weeks. Even then, it's a small one. Her eyes start to slowly flutter open, and she begins to lift up. I quickly close my eyes, not really wanting to talk. I hear her yawn as I try to look as peaceful as possible.
"Lloyd?" she whispers. "Are you awake?" Yes, I answer in my head. However, I give her any sign letting her know. She sighs. "Why won't you just tell us what's wrong? Why don't you ask what's real or not? We want to help you. I want to help you. I want my Son back." This kindly catches me by surprise, but I don't let on about it. Her hand touches the side of my face, brushing my hair out of my eyes. "Please, come back to me." Having enough, I go back to sleep after that. Knowing that when I wake up, I'll just cause her more pain.
Hiya 66! It's Em, and I am so sorry for being away, but I really hope you'll forgive me, I'm hoping to rejoin, and I hope all y'all can accept me again. And 66, I really need talk, so I hope you can listen, thanks.
Hiya 66! It's Em, and I am so sorry for being away, but I really hope you'll forgive me, I'm hoping to rejoin, and I hope all y'all can accept me again. And 66, I really need talk, so I hope you can listen, thanks.
Emmy, I understand. I'm glad your back. I had to leave for a while to. I got back today, though.
I cannot keep avoiding telling my Mom, nor can I be under their care. I brought this up to Rose the other day.
"You could run away."
"Where to?" I had countered.
"I'm not just a figment of your imagination. I live in the real world." I pondered on this for a minute.
"What is your story? You're backstory, I mean."
"That will be a story for another time."
"Ok... Why do you need my memories?" She had fell silent and walked away, causing me to wake up that day.
I sigh. I decide to take a nap, apologize to Rose, and ask her where she lives. I close my eyes just as the door opens.
"I've had enough of this!" I try to ignore Kai's voice and fall asleep. "Wake up!" I get pushed off the bed as soon as he says it. I let out a soft moan, telling myself not to get mad. Then, my mind jumps to when he pushed my father into the lava. I try to just stay on the ground.
"Enough. Patience is the key with this, " Wu's voice says. Then I'm up. Feeling like I have no control over myself, I lunge for Kai. Wu is standing next to him, but that doesn't stop me. I hear someone yelling, and i t takes me a minute to realize it's me. I knock the two of them down. Then, I get up and run out the door, seeing this as my chance to get out of here. I jump off the balcony and form my energy dragon. Going off in a random destination.
****
I land at the monastery. I land and begin taking deep breaths. My stomach begins to growl. I got so caught up in the moment, I forgot to go get some food. I sit down and try to calm down so I can think.
"Lloyd!" I run over towards the wreckage and hide within, thinking it's one of the Ninja. "I know you're here. Come out. " I turn around to find Rose. Relieved, I hurry over to her. We kiss, happy to be together.
"How did you find me?" I ask.
"I know you." I laugh and kiss her again. "Come on. Let's go home and eat." I take her hand as she leads me down the mountain.
***
"We're almost there, I promise." We've been walking for what feels like forever. I am super hungry and I'm beginning to feel drowsy.
"I can't go on." I breath out. She manages to catch me before I fall. She's stronger than she looks.
"It's okay. Do you think you could hop on my back?" Confused, I nod. "Ok. Once you jump on, you can fall asleep." With that, she let's me go. I catch my balance, and open my eyes. A brown horse is standing next to me. "Hurry up and jump on." Not asking anything, I hurry and hop on. I fall deeply asleep afterwards.
***
I wake up on a soft bed. Without opening my eyes, I smile at the comfort. Then, yesterday's events start catching up with me. I sit up quickly to see that I'm not on the Bounty. I sigh with relief and lay back down. The room is a dark gray, along with the bed sheets. There is a single window on one of the walls that is allowing daylight in. It is the only light source. The door opens and Rose walks in.
"Morning, Love," she smiles. I can't help but smile back.
"Morning. Where might I get some food around here?" She giggles.
"Right here." She pulls a tray of food out from behind her. It is loaded down with breakfast items. I begin to reach for it, but she pulls it out of my reach. "Not so fast. You gotta prove yourself." I give her a fake look of surprise and then agust.
"I think I have after that long walk." She smirks at me, as she ponders over this.
"Ok," she says reluctantly with a smile, and gives me the tray. I begin eat happily. "So..." She looks at me with a huge, mischievous grin. "What are your plans for the day?" I raise my eyebrows and look at her without turning my head; my mouth hovering wide open with my fork, food on it, inches from entering my mouth.
I close my mouth, swallow hard, and ask, "Are you serious?" She laughs as I continue to eat, more slowly this time.
"No. Good grief, take a joke, Lloyd." I let out the breath I was holding. "We might be able to have the full day to ourselves. It depends if I get called to work." I smirk at her.
"Work?" I ask. She blushes. "Like... money?" She laughs again.
"No, silly. It's something I can't tell you, yet." I ponder on this for a minute.
"Is it why you had to take my memories?" She bites her lower lip and looks away. She looks adorable. "Ah." Then a thought occurs to me: It seems I have been hanging with the Ninja before my memories were taking. Why else would they be the first thing I see when I wake up? If I was so mad at them for destroying Dad, why did I still hang out with them? Rose looks at me, almost as if she was reading my mind. Her eyes go wide with fear. Then, another thought clicks. "You're reading my mind." She blushes with embarrassment. "You always have been, haven't you? Haven't you?" She doesn't answer, but she does look away. I move the tray off my lap, to fed up to eat anymore.
"Lloyd."
"What else have you been doing with my head?" I demand.
"Nothing, I swear. I..." She sighs, trying to choose her words carefully. "It's my job to "borrow" memories, give them back, and make sure their owner is not led astray."
"Astray from what?" She bites her lip immediately. "You've been tampering with my head."
"No!" I can see the lie right through her eyes. I raise my eyebrows again. She winces. "I'm not suppose to tell you all this."
"Fine. Don't." I uncover and start to head to the door. I'm still in my ninja suit.
"Wait! Lloyd!" Her voice sounds surprised, and almost panicked. "I'm sorry." She tries to grab my hand to stop me. "Lloyd! Wait! Please!" I don't really know where I'm going. I just keep moving. There are at least a hundred hallways, and they all look the same.
"Fix thisss." I stop dead in my tracks, and Rose runs in to me afterward. The voice was only a faint whisper, but I could tell it apart from anywhere.
"Did you hear that?" I ask.
"Um."
"Remain ssssilent."
"No," Rose lies. I turn around and look at her in the eye. She had.
"It's there anyone else in the building?"
"No." She looked at me confused.
"Then why is Pythor in your head, and how am I hearing him?!" Then I blackout.
You always do. :-) Life gets in the way, doesn't it. Yay!!! I was so scared you had left when I stalked you and saw you hadn't posted in awhile.... :-( But then I saw you had posted and rushed back. Lols!
{JAMMERS! 66 only!} OK,so long story short. My Mom was diagnosed with a rare desease... (I can't spell and auto correct didn't pick it up... *Facepalm*) But she's doing well, thank goodness, but I just really needed to get it out because, y'know, only a few friends... But anyways, the main thing that happened with her. Is it's treatable, but incurable. Non fatal or anything like that tho, thank goodness. But anyways, anything new with you??
