Episode 13 Part 5:
Two employees were slacking off and gulping down Dr. Pepper at the subway station, waiting for the train to arrive.
"So..." the first one said after a long silence, "You watch Rock o' ages?" Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from the tunnel.
"That's funny," the second worker said, "The subway's not supposed to arrive until-" He was cut off when the Devourer burst through the concrete wall to their left, looking for a snack. Everyone screamed and ran in different directions. The snake didn't pay any attention to them, as they were small morsels unworthy of its time. Instead, he gobbled up a hot dog cart, growing even larger than before. The beast then made its way to the exit as the city's inhabitants scattered and sprinted away from it. One man got in his truck and began to drive away. This caught the snake's attention and it gave chase. After only a few seconds, it had caught up to the vehicle and snatched it up in its jaws. Just before the Devourer gobbled it up, however, a laser beam hit the back of its head, causing it to shriek and drop the man's truck. The snake turned and saw the samurai, operated by Nya, who had fired the beam. It hissed and slithered hastily towards her. Before it reached her, however, a pillar of rock, summoned by Cole, sprung out of the earth and sent it sprawling a few yards back. Kai leapt from an alleyway and distracted the beast with a pillar of fire from his sword, allowing Jay to carefully aim and fire a lightning bolt at its weak point from a nearby rooftop. The creature screamed after the blast hit it and turned around, attempting to escape, but slipped on the road Zane had frozen over with his shuriken.
However, all their work was mostly in vain. They didn't seems to badly injure the beast, no matter how many fireballs to the face it took, they only made it angry. The Devourer was essentially a tank.

Episode 13 Part 6:
Lord Garmadon was roaming the city streets, looking for the nearby tea shop. He was feeling awfully cynical, so he decided to simply use Traveler's Tea to return to the Dark World and wallow in his own misery. It was at that moment when he heard a large group of people screaming far away. A man ran by him.
"What's going on?" Garmy questioned.
"There's a huge snake attacking the city!" the man exclaimed, "Hey aren't you-" Garms pushed him aside and ran in the direction of the scuffle. The Devourer was the reason why his child loathed him, the world feared him, and society rejected him.
It would pay.

And so the ninja fought. Fireball after fireball, boulder after boulder, lightning bolt after lightning bolt, nothing worked. All they could do to the beast was annoy it.
"This isn't working!" Jay cried. Nya rocketed towards the Devourer in her mech, hoping to give it a nasty scar with her sword, but the beast flicked at her with its tail, sending it crashing to the ground. The huge snake bent over Nya's robot, and prepared to deliver the final blow. Suddenly, a huge white streak body-slammed the creature into the side of a building, sending shards of glass and metal flying. After the dust cleared, the ninja were gazing upon a four-headed dragon. It was a combination of the four elemental dragons, who had migrated a few months back.
It made its return just in time.
"Rocky!" Cole shouted, easily the happiest of the bunch. The Great Devourer got back up and hissed angrily. The two beasts engaged in battle. The Ultra Dragon's attacks were far more powerful than the Great Devourer's, but it ultimately could not pierce the snake's scales, and eventually, the Devourer knocked it out of the air, sending it crashing onto the street. The ninja came running to the dragon's aid.
"Are you all right?" Cole asked frantically. Jay did a quick inspection.
"They're fine," he said, "But they can't fight anymore. This thing is too powerful."
"The Great Devourer is virtually indestructible," Garmadon explained, "Only an unimaginable amount of force to its weak spot would be able to destroy it. An atomic bomb wouldn't do the trick"
"Fantastic," Jay sighed as they all ducked into an ally.
"There is one way, however," said Garmy.
"Well, tell us then!" Kai shouted, throwing his hands in the air as the Devourer gobbled up an empty bus.
"In order to destroy the creature," the dark lord explained, "We need to hit it with the combined power of the golden weapons."
"But no single being can control the power of all four at o-" Zane cut himself off when he realized what Garmadon was implying.
"No!" Kai screamed, "No way, Garmadon! THE LAST THING WE NEED RIGHT NOW-"
"Kai, shut up!" Cole interrupted, silencing the red ninja, "Think about it logically. Lord Garmadon wants to destroy the creature too. He wants to rule Ninjago, and he can't do that if it's eaten by a giant snake, not to mention his personal grudge against it. We'll need to keep an eye on him afterwards, but I'm afraid it's our best shot." Kai bit his lip and glared at Garms. He would oblige, but he wouldn't be happy about it.

The snake was gobbling up more of the city, which had been mostly evacuated at that point, growing even larger. It was snacking on a fast food restaurant when a huge boulder hit it in the back of the head.
The Devourer turned around to see Cole standing in the middle of the street, preparing for a chase.
The Devourer gave chase, and Cole ducked into a tight alleyway, leaping onto a dumpster and then through the window of an office building. The snake burst through the front wall as the black ninja ran up the stairs. Before it could strike, Jay shot a bolt of lightning at it from the top of the building. The Devourer screamed and turned around to see the blue ninja standing there. In a fit of rage, it slithered up the sides of the building as if it were constricting it, after a new target. Jay leapt onto the building in front of him as Zane, who was standing on a skyscraper, created a path of ice down to the building Jay was standing on.
"Best Nindroid of all time," Jay said, giving him the thumbs up and running up Zane's path. The Devourer followed the lightning ninja up the path as Zane ducked for cover, but Kai shot a fireball at the ice walkway, instantly melting it and sending the snake crashing down into a parking lot, landing on a large group of cars and sending metal, glass and dust flying. As it was getting up, dazed from the fall, Garmadon walked to the edge of the skyscraper, all four golden weapons in hand, looking down at the beast.
"Goodbye, old chap," he said, diving off the building and plumetting right into the Devourer's weak point. There was an intensely bright flash for about a second as the two collided. In that one instant, there was a shriek, probably the Devourer's final statement, but it was cut short as the world exploded, and Ninjago City was drenched in a pile of green slime.
The ninja were blown backwards by the explosion, landing less-than-gracefully on the hard pavement. They were all covered in green goop. Kai stood up and began to wipe it off him.
"Did we just... Win?" Kai asked, looking around at the others, who were getting up.
"I think so..." Cole spoke softly. Suddenly, they noticed a figure standing up in the parking lot where the Devourer was destroyed. At first they thought it was Garmadon, and were ready to attack, but realized that it was not.
"Sensei!" Jay shouted, running over to him. He was the first to embrace Wu in a hug, though the other three weren't far behind.
"How did you survive?!" Zane asked happily.
"Snakes take a long time to digest their food," Wu explained, "The only problem was avoiding getting crushed by everything else he ate." He chuckled.
"So... Is Ninjago safe?" Kai asked after a long pause.
"For now."
"It's a good thing we listened to Garmadon," Jay said, whistling.
"What?" Wu questioned, his eyes narrowing.
"We gave him the golden weapons so that he could destroy the Devourer," Kai explained. He paused. "Where is he, anyway?" Cole slapped his hand against his forehead.
"We forgot all about him!" he explained, "Sensei, we were supposed to take the weapons back afterward, but the explosion-"
"We'll worry about him later," Wu stated calmly, "For now, let's say we head back to the Bounty." The ninja exchanged guilty glances.
"Uh... It kinda got destroyed," Cole admitted.
"Well, then maybe we can find a place to stay after the town reconvenes. Of course, we should find Nya and Lloyd beforehand." The four agreed.
A custodian walked by them, scanning the city, which had been completely covered in slime. He threw down his mop and kicked his hat away.
After being shoved out of a moving bus by Pythor, he had wandered off, seeking shelter from the Devourer's wrath. He had been lucky enough not to encounter it, and stumbled across a forest. Hoping to find someone who would take him in, he explored the woods until he reached a small clearing, and heard a couple of voices bickering.
"Well, we lasted a few weeks on the surface. Is that an accomplishment?" asked one sarcastically.
"Ssssshut up! I'm working on a solution!" It was then Oakroup realized that the bickering entities were Serpentine. He scanned his surroundings, but found nothing until he looked down and noticed the Fangpyre tomb's entrance was sealed shut. He laughed.
The snakes stopped bickering.
"Oakroup?" he heard Skales ask, "Is that you?"
"In the flesh."
"LET US OUT!" the Hypnobrai general shrieked, "Pythor is out of commission, so I'm in charge around here!"
"Not if you're trapped in that pit," Oakroup replied slyly, picking the dirt out of his fingernails.
"Please..." Skalidor's voice begged softly, "I've been trapped in a pit for hundreds of years, and I want to-"
"Oh, I'll let you out," the scientist chuckled, "One one condition."
"And what would that be?" Skales asked.
"You treat me as your equal. You give me the money, I give you the machines. And your ticket out of here." He heard the snakes chattering amongst each other, and after a few seconds, all were silent.
"You have our word," Skales sighed. And so, Oakroup knelt down and opened the door to the Fangpyre tomb, and the entire Serpentine army flooded out in a disorderly fashion.
