Just as Kai, Cole and Jay began to run down after Pythor and Zane, the pit's ceiling opened, and two Rattlecopters flew down, obviously more of Pythor's reinforcements. Serpentine began to surround the ninja from all sides (there were only two sides, of course, as they were on a staircase). Cole looked around as they drew closer, then picked up crossbow from an unconscious Venomari.
"I have a plan," he said, "Nya, Kai, protect us from the right side. Jay, call Sensei. Tell him to fly over here, and don't hang up until I say so." The other four didn't question him. Jay took out his phone, and the others bombarded the Serpentine on the right with missiles, fire, and lightning. Cole took a hand grenade and tied it to an arrow, removed the pin, and shot at one of the Rattlecopters flying nearby.
BOOM
He timed it just right, and the Rattlecopter fell out of the sky, tumbling towards the left side of the staircase. The copter exploded just as the Serpentine came close, not only sending them flying, but destroying the stairway under their feet, preventing any more from coming.
"Why was there a second explosion?" Nya asked.
"Because explosions are cool," said Cole.
Uh... Guys?" Kai asked, "I don't think we can hold them off much longer." It seemed that he was right, as the Serpentine on the right side were still flooding through the entrance.
"Is Sensei here yet?" Cole asked.
"Almost," Jay replied.
"Tell him to fly directly above the pit." The snakes at the bottom of the pit were loading their muskets, so Cole hoped he would arrive soon.
"I don't mean to interrupt your thoughts or whatever," Kai said, "But what about the fangblade?"
Cole sighed. "Looks like it might be up to Zane now."
Pythor and Zane stared each other down at the bottom of the pit. Pythor grinned maniacally and shot a bolt of lightning at the white ninja, who created a barrier of ice in front of him, which shattered to pieces. Zane then sent the shards of ice flying at Pythor, who dodged to the right and hurled a ball of flame directly back at him. The ninja of ice timed his jump so that he dodged the fireball and kicked Pythor in the stomach as he fell, landing perfectly on his feet.
The snake king's smile faded as he was sent sprawling, the breath completely knocked out of him. "You've... Most certainly improved," he said, coughing.
"That's very kind of you, Pythor," Zane said as he knocked him unconscious and grabbed the fangblades. The ninja cheered and the Serpentine cried out in outrage, firing at Zane with their muskets and arrows as he ducked for cover. Meanwhile, the other ninjas and Samurai X were just barely able to hold off the other snakes. Just then, the Bounty hovered directly over the pit as the Serpentine screamed in terror.
"Tell him to open the entrance," Cole said to Jay, who was still on the phone, "Nya, bring us back to the ship."
"What about Zane?" Kai asked.
Cole paused for a moment, and looked down at the bottom of the pit, where Zane was being overwhelmed by hordes of snakes, but Sensei Wu answered for him: "You'll have to make a second trip. Quickly!" Nya carried Kai, Cole and Jay up into the Bounty through the much larger secondary entrance in the hull.
"Get Zane!" Cole ordered Nya as soon as they were back in the Bounty. But she didn't need to, as a Rattlecopter rose into the sky, preparing to fire at the Bounty. The ninja, however, spotted Zane holding the bottom of the copter.
Zane hurled himself up and broke through the window of the Rattlecopter, knocking the pilot out of it and taking control. He brandished a bag with the fangblades in it in his right hand. Everyone cheered.
***
The Bounty and the Rattlecopter stopped in the middle of a marsh after flying for about a dozen miles in order to make sure no one was following them. Unbeknownst to them, even after all that time, they hadn't completely lost their enemy. As they landed, Jay ran from the Bounty and hugged Zane, who was stepping out of the helicopter.
"You did it!" he cried, then paused, backing away from the hug, "Sorry, just got kinda excited."
"Where is my brother?" Sensei Wu asked. In all the excitement, none of them had noticed Lord Garmadon's absence.
"I... Kinda kicked him out," Lloyd said guiltily.
"Good riddance," Kai said. Wu glared at him, causing him to take a few steps back in surprise.
"Sensei," Zane said, "We have already rescued Lloyd. With all due respect, sir, Garmadon is no longer of any use to us."
"That's not what I'm worried about," Wu said, "The problem is that now Lord Garmadon is walking around Ninjago without a leash, so to speak."
Jay sighed, "Sensei, we just gathered the Fangblades, can we at least have the rest of the day to celebrate without worrying about more fighting?" Sensei paused.
"Jay, you're right," he said.
"That's a first, Kai muttered.
"You have the rest of the day off. Tomorrow morning we will set off to destroy the Fangblades once and for all. But be sure to keep an eye out for Serpentine, I wouldn't be surprised if we had one last stand off with them before we reach our destination." And so, the ninja pushed the Rattlecopter into a swamp's lake to avoid being tracked, and all got back in the Bounty, oblivious to the fact that one of their worst enemies was hiding nearby inside their own ship.
The Ninja spent the rest of that day partying on the Bridge. There was soda, chips, churros Cole had stolen from the skeletons, burgers, the works. Pythor partied as well, though of course he was invisible, and could only steal the churros when nobody was looking. He had turned invisible and crawled into the back of the Rattlecopter before it took off, allowing him to infiltrate the enemy's base. He would steal the fangblades, but not just yet. He would give himself the rest of the day off to steal cans of Pepsi from his adversaries, and would not yet strike until the ship was at a convenient position. The Elite Three, a highly skilled trio of Serpentine assassins, whom the ninja hadn't been able to best in a previous encounter, were following close behind, but far enough so that Jay's radar was unable to pick them up. Pythor was able to contact both them and Oakroup via text (with his phone silenced, of course). The snake king wasn't about to let a few kids destroy his master plan, especially now that he'd come so far. He was willing to do anything in order to release the Great Devourer and get revenge on the human race for their unfair imprisonment of the five Serpentine tribes, who until now had done no evil rather than looking scary. As Pythor downed yet another can of soda, he was barely able to suppress his laughter.
Kai slashed back and forth as he was surrounded by Serpentine. He knew it was futile, there were too many, but he had a plan.
"Hello, my friend," Skales said, slithering over to the front of the group, "I wonder if the battle will go any better if we have you on our- Hey, what are you doing?"
"Closing my eyes."
"You... You can't do that!"
"Yes I can."

I can't remember if I've already said this, but, I feel like I'm watching the original seasons again, and it's a good, nostalgic feeling. So thanks and good job.

Haha thank you, these are really old but it's definitely nostalgic for me to go through these again as well. :{P

Episode 11 Part 10:
Oakroup was sitting on a rock right outside of the Serpentine base, when he received a call from Pythor. He answered.
"Oakroup," Pythor whispered, "I think I found something that could be of use to us."
"What is it?"
"I found a supercomputer in the blue ninja's laboratory. I followed him and he opened up a secret entrance to it, not knowing of my presence."
"You mean Jay?"
"I don't know," Pythor spat, "Nor do I care, but it seems that this supercomputer has complete access to all of the ship's primary functions."
"What are you onto?"
"I want you to hack into it," said Pythor, "If you succeed, the ninja will be completely at our mercy and we will essentially be taking candy from a baby. Except the candy is actually four ancient artifacts and the baby is a group of highly-trained ninja who possess unmatched elemental powers."
"I understand the metaphor, sir. This shouldn't be too much of a problem."
"Have it ready by 9:00am tomorrow," Pythor ordered, "Then, we'll launch our attack."

Episode 12: Rise of the Great Devourer Part 1:
Jay, Nya and Lloyd were sitting at the kitchen table. The Bounty was caught in a storm, and it was swaying dangerously from side to side.
"You know, Lloyd," Jay said after taking a bite of his sandwich, "At first I was kinda upset when I found out you were the green ninja, but now I'm actually kind of impressed. When we first found you robbing a candy store we never would've thought you would even become our ally."
"Thanks, Jay," Lloyd said. He got up and left the room. He was still rather upset that he had kicked his father out, and especially that he would one day have to fight him.
"So where are we going, anyway?" Nya asked after an awkward silence.
"There's a volcano nearby," Jay replied, "One of the hottest places on earth. It's the only way we'll be able to destroy such strong material." At that time, Cole entered, his face green from seasickness.
"Can someone else take the wheel?" he moaned, "Please?"
Jay guffawed. "You could just put it on autopilot..." ***
Lloyd was in the training room, repeatedly striking a punching bag. He didn't really know any moves, but it was a start. Suddenly, he heard a familiar laugh as Pythor came to into view.
"Adorable," he said.
"Pythor," Lloyd growled, "How did you get on here?"
"Snakes are crafty creatures," the snake king replied, "I'm insulted you that I had been defeated." In one quick move, he had bound and gagged Lloyd, tying him to the punching bag.
He then called The elite three: "Now." Before long, Lloyd heard the sound of helicopter blades.
"Out of sight, out of mind," Pythor said as he slipped into invisibility.
***
Kai burst into the kitchen.
"Serpentine!" he cried out. Immediately, Jay rushed to the Bridge and tried to activate the defense mechanisms while the others ran outside to confront the snake assassins. When he typed in his passcode, the words: ACCESS DENIED flashed up on the screen.
"What?" he asked, "How..."
"I am sorry, master," the supercomputer buzzed from the speaker, "But it appears I am being hacked from an outside source."

Episode 12 Part 2:
The other ninja ran onto the deck of the Bounty just in time to see the Rattlecopter land. Three Serpentine stepped out, one armed with two long knives, one with a bow, and another with a sword, who appeared to be the leader.
"Excuse me," Pythor said as he shoved past the ninja, holding the fangblades in his hands. Zane threw his shuriken at him, but one of the Serpentine knocked it out of the air with an arrow from his bow. The ninja ran after him, but the ship lurched backwards, sending them falling to the ground; this was clearly the work of Oakroup. The Rattlecopter took off with Pythor and the Elite three in it, as well as all four fangblades. After a melancholy silence, Jay rejoined with them.
"They seem to be heading to Ouroborous," he said.
"What?" Cole asked, "How do you know?"
"I put a tracking device on him while he was sleeping."
"YOU KNEW?!" Kai shouted.
"Oh, yeah. I've known since yesterday when I noticed the soda cans disappearing."
"WHY DIDN'T YOU DO ANYTHING?! THEY HAD THE FANGBLADE!"
"Because if I stopped him he would just outsmart us again with something like this. So I decided to outsmart him this time and make him think he's won, then stop him in his tracks."
"Outsnake the snake?" Zane asked.
"Precisely." Sensei Wu and Lloyd, who had been freed, went up to the deck with Nya.
"But if you had just-" Kai was cut short.
"Good job, Jay," Sensei Wu interrupted, "Now we must give chase before he reaches the shrine. Nya, come with us. Lloyd, you stay here."
"The ship isn't under Oakroup's control anymore," Jay said, "But just the thought that he was able to do that is terrifying, I definitely hadn’t expected that part"
"I have a feeling that Pythor is expecting us," Wu said, "But thanks to Jay's contributions, we can intercept the Serpentine long before he is able to awaken the Devourer. I hope you all know the importance of this mission. We cannot fail this, or else the human race will cease to exist."

Episode 12 Part 3:
All of the Serpentine were loading into a huge train-like vehicle when Pythor and the assassins returned to the fortress. Oakroup had been constructing the aforementioned vehicle, which was covered in metal "armor" and able to travel at great speeds, for months.
"Sir!" he called to Pythor, "We are almost ready to depart."
"You drive," Pythor ordered, "I'll ride shotgun. You installed an intercom system?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good. Once we reach the city, we'll wait for the ninja. They'll be the Devourer's first snack."
***
Kai, Cole, Zane, Jay and Sensei were all riding in the lightning ninja's jet alongside Nya, who was controlling her mech. Lloyd had stayed at the Bounty to watch the ship. After a while, Oakroup's machine came into view. It was crossing the desert sands, heading to the snake capital.
"Wow..." Cole said, "They have an... Offroad train?"
"That is no train," Sensei Wu replied, "That is a moving fortress."
***
Snappa burst through the door to the front of the train.
"Pythor!" he shouted, "The ninja are here!"
The snake king's eyes widened. "What?" he asked, "Already?" He turned to Oakroup: "Faster! We don't have time for this!" Oakroup's machine sped up significantly.
"Call the elite three," Pythor ordered Snappa, "They beat the ninja last time, and they can beat them again."
The turrets on the sides of the train began to move and fired at Jay's jet and the Samurai.
"There's not very much we can do for now," Jay told the others, "I'll drop you off as close as I can, but you have to disable the turrets." He opened the cockpit door, and Kai, Cole, Zane and Sensei Wu jumped on the top of Oakroup's vehicle.
"You three disable the train's weapons," their Sensei ordered, "I'll take care of Pythor."

Episode 12 Part 4:
"Sir!" Oakroup reported, "The samurai and the jet are out of range, but are still on the radar."
Pythor activated the intercom, contacting the Serpentine base. "We're under attack!" he shouted, "We need enough Rattlecopters, trucks and bite cycles to beat the ninja. Essentially, just send all of them."
***
Sensei hopped down into the train, leaving Cole, Kai and Zane to approach the turrets on the roof.
"So the plan is," said Cole, "We go up to the car with the turrets and detach it from the rest of the train. This will cut the vehicle in half and allow Jay and Nya to get close and destroy it." Suddenly, they noticed the sound of helicopter blades growing nearer, and on the horizon spotted the legion of Pythor's machines heading towards them.
"Oh man," Kai exclaimed, "They're gonna need some help with this one."
"Zane, you go after the turrets by yourself," Cole ordered, "Kai and I will take care of this."
"How?" asked Zane.
"Like this." Cole leapt down and detached the caboose from the rest of the train with a quick swing of his scythe. Kai jumped onto it. They slowed down, and Nya was able to catch up with them. The mech grabbed both of them in one hand and put the two ninja on its shoulders. As the legion of machines approached, Cole jumped down and landed on a Fangpyre truck, smashing the window with his scythe and hauling the driver out of the vehicle, sending him rolling in the dust. Kai then did the same with a Bite cycle, then fired a missile at another, blasting it to smithereens and sending its driver flying. Another bite cycle rode right up next to him, carrying two Serpentine. The one that wasn't driving was armed with a spear, forcing Kai to slow down and keep his distance. He suddenly sped up and slammed into the other bike, knocking it to the left and causing it to collide with a cactus and flip over.
