Hallo 'ere. Welcome, and thanks for coming, have a seat, all that. *points to scattered beanbag chairs*
So, I suppose I should introduce this story. The title's up there, A Very Disney Adventure. I actually started writing it around June 2017, and got quite far into it. But I haven't worked on it in a long time, and let's just say, what I have written probably needs to be...altered a bit. #cringey XD
This fanfic was written for the Disney gallery, though luckily I've learned my lesson before and have the whole thing saved on my laptop. That being said, I'd like to point out that all six protagonists of this story are based off real LEGO users -- my five closest gallery friends, and me. I'll let you figure out which one is me when you read. I have changed the characters' names, seeing as the Disney gallery was a small, close-knit little community and we called each other by our first names. xD And...yeah, *shrugs* fun fact, I changed all our names and probably some of our appearances and I don't know what I'm changing yet
I feel like I'm forgetting stuff... If I could make a passive suggestion to you, it might help set the mood for this story if you decide to listen to Disney piano music while reading, or even a Disney score from a particular movie taking place in certain chapters. Helps me to write it, anyway. Yeah, I guess that's about it -- I'll post the prologue which I literally just thought of and wrote last night soon, and sooner or later I'll decide when chapters will regularly *coughcough* be posted. I'm simultaneously excited and nervous to try to sort this thing out and post it, but I'mma do it. Hope you all enjoy the ride!!

A story by Bun? I am very excited. I bet Lion King shows up in it somewhere.

Yey! It does more than show up in it somewhere... XD I can't very well write a Disney fanfic without that one in it, can I?

HUZZAH, it's here! She did it! *plops into beanbag chair* Well done for summoning the courage to reveal this, my friend. :3 *bookmarks* I'll see about digging up music for the appropriate themes and moments.

Soundtrack Suggestion: some orchestral version of "When You Wish Upon a Star," "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" or another really classic Disney song. (yes this might be a thing I do regularly )
Prologue
Far away, in the midst of imagination and long past reality, lies another realm. The realm of stories, and magic, and dreams -- and, well, the realm of Disney. The border between this world and our own had always been narrow, hence the gift of joy and imagination that was able to sneak into our world and we quickly claimed as our own. Yet with this inflow of magic, the source of which we longed to know, none could find a way to cross the barrier. None except one. Walt Disney first discovered the passage to the realm, according to legend, in 1928. From there, he explored worlds far and wide, reportedly filled with magic and wonder beyond our dreams. He vividly spoke of worlds where fairies danced, where animals could talk, and where lay a happiness unlike any our world possessed. And upon returning, he longed to share this realm with the people of ours. And so, Walt began to tell stories. Stories of dwarfs, of fairy godmothers and princesses, of animals who talked and laughed just the way people did. He filled books with these tales, his collection growing by the day as he eagerly shared with the world his adventures in this new realm. He recounted stories of countless friends he had met, each one different from the last, describing the characters with such vivacity it proved hard to call them false. Yet with all the joy and excitement Walt brought the world from this realm, one question still held their curiosity -- how did he get there? He provided no such answers to this question, only an endless supply of stories and sketches. By 1937, he began to transform the tales to film, hoping to recreate the places he saw in a way that would give them the life they so much possessed in this other realm.
Upon his passing in 1966, Walt left the world with dozens of books full of stories and artwork -- merely clever ideas, some said. Others believe there may be a little more truth to these legends. Either way, the legacy of Walt Disney is carried on, his tales continuing to be adapted to film and shared with the world today. But one has to wonder just how much is inside those books. If the monumental supply of writings has still not yet been exhausted...or if there are others who are crossing the border to the realm and listening to stories as we speak. Some say the Disney realm is a vast universe waiting to be discovered again, if only one can find a way to cross. None since Walt himself are rumored to have visited; until the story you are about to hear, of course. The story of six, seemingly average girls who discovered the Disney realm, found paradises they knew only in their dreams -- and maybe, ended up being the ones to save it all.

Very nice usage of Walt Disney himself as part of your story.

I listened to a piano version of "When You Wish Upon A Star" while reading this.
I had no idea your writing is so good. . . o_o xD You have a lovely way of storytelling! It feels like I'm slipping into a storybook! ^v^

Books and magazines flew from the shelf, some getting passed into waiting hands while others were simply dropped to the floor. “Ack, slow it down! We're drowning back here!” Sage's dark brown ponytail slipped off her shoulder as she gave her twin a sidelong grin. “Not much more. Just another couple newspapers from 1975 and we should be fine.” “Why Mom and Dad even bothered to keep all this stuff, I'll never know,” Kelsea laughed, pushing her red glasses up as Sage handed her another stack of seemingly ancient manuscripts. Gwen glanced up with a quizzical look. “Also, is there a reason you guys had twenty-three dictionaries in your attic?” “Well, why not?” Sage snickered. “Better to have a yard sale late than never, I guess.” Bright July sunlight streamed through the garage door as Carmen returned from outside, humming a soft tune, her arms full of plastic crates. She handed one to her sister Gwen and set the rest against the wall, pulling her braid of gold-streaked brown hair out of her face. Gwen craned her neck as she took the box, trying to see out the window and identify the sounds of commotion from outside. “What are they doing?” “Either trying to squash a spider or break into the cooler for popsicles,” Carmen laughed. “Sounds like either one.” A moment later, the door opened again, and Hannah and Alexa stepped inside -- one carrying a faded cloth smudged with dirt, and the other clutching the handle of the cooler. “Popsicle break,” Alexa announced, planting the cooler in the middle of the group.
{} So I'm thinking chapters will be posted every Friday, until I get behind and the schedule gets wacky. I don't have an SS (soundtrack suggestion) for this chapter, although some wonderful songs I would highly recommend checking out are selections from Disney's Orchestra Collection. Btw, jams are probably gonna be at the bottom of posts now, just a heads up. XD
Kelsea twisted from her place on the ground to offer up a wrinkled magazine coated in dust, an expression of joking sternness in her face. “Welcome back; now get back to work.” Hannah recoiled, suppressing a laugh. “But we already sorted through the stuff outside! What, you just want someone to share in the pain?” “Mostly the dust.” Kelsea received another book from Sage and blew lightly on the front cover, sending a sandstorm over the garage. She was about to add the book to the growing stack beside her when she noticed a familiar picture on the cover. “Hey, what's this?” Her words caught the attention of the other five, who gathered around her and peered at the book curiously. The cover bore a colored picture of a familiar character, his faded smile as cheerful as ever. “Whatever it is, that's definitely Mickey Mouse,” Carmen observed. She leaned over and lightly ran her hand over the book, brushing away more dust. “It's a Disney storybook,” Hannah piped in through a mouthful of cold blue slush. She eagerly sat down next to Kelsea, pushing her long ponytail over her shoulder. “Huh.” Gwen frowned. “There's no title, just a picture of Mickey.” A hush fell over the group as they opened the ancient storybook. Sage wrinkled her nose in thought as she gazed at the yellowed page. “I don't remember ever seeing this.” “We probably haven't,” Kelsea replied. “For that matter, even Mom and Dad probably haven't. I mean, it's been buried in the garage for who knows how long, so--” “Guys?” Hannah's voice came out in an unusual squeak. “This book isn't as old as it looks.” Alexa paused in the process of pulling open a popsicle, her interest caught. “What makes you say that?” Next to her, Gwen suddenly drew in a sharp breath. “That.”
Sage ran her finger down the table of contents, reading some of the titles aloud. “Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, and -- Zootopia? Moana--? I…” her words abruptly faltered as she opened and closed her mouth repeatedly. “Aren't these two like, pretty recent?” “Very recent,” Carmen said quietly. “No way that lines up with how old this storybook looks.” Hannah continued to scan the contents. “It doesn't stop there. Coco is even more recent and it's in here too. In fact, there's a lot of movies in here that came out just last year.” She raised her head from the book to give them a questioning look, her dark brown eyes clouded. “That's....weird...” was finally the word Alexa settled on. Kelsea began flipping through the book carefully, afraid it might fall apart. However, it wasn't long before something else unusual struck her. “These pages aren't yellow,” she said in surprise. She turned the book's open face for all to see; and indeed, though the title pages had appeared nearly antique, the clean white pages she displayed now looked as though they had been printed yesterday. A chill ran down Gwen’s spine. “This keeps getting weirder,” she murmured. She exchanged a confused glance with her sister, who asked, “How is that even possible?” Kelsea let out a deep breath, blowing her short brown hair out of her eyes. “I have no idea, Carmen.” “Whoa,” came a soft whisper from beside them. They looked over to see Sage, who now held the book, leaning over it with Hannah and Alexa on either side. “I've never seen anything like this,” Hannah breathed. “These illustrations are really...vibrant. Really...no, not vibrant, what's the word--” “Magical.” Alexa's eyes locked with hers. No sooner had the word left her mouth than a bright flash of light erupted into the garage, spilling into every corner of the room, blinding them all.
