*** "Being Alpha for twenty seven years has allowed me to discover a unique talent of mine, and that is the ability to read people, decipher their motives and drives, their fears and insecurities, their honesty and bluffing... I can see the fear in your eyes every time I mention her. You no longer fear for your life like you did when you were a child. Now, I think you are more afraid of what she'll have to suffer because of my doing, and that you won't be able to prevent it like your father could." That statement hit close to home, far to close. "What are you trying to accomplish by telling me all this?!" Asked Jadyn. He fought himself to keep control of his temper, Alpha had taken it to far...
@bold: Ye-e-e-e-e-s-s-s. . . yessss, come on, tell us...! ...WHAT
Some unknow unfortunate soul has it apparently.
Can you imagine, though? Like, you're a normal kid chilling in Ninjago City or Jumanakai village or wherever, and maybe you're on a walk in the woods or by a river and you decide to skip stones across the water, but instead of skipping a giant mound of earth appears out of nowhere when you thrust your arm out and you accidentally chuck this one-ton mound of rock and earth into the neighbor's house and it's way worse than when you hit a baseball into their window.

It was morning, and Zephyr was laying on the floor in some blankets in the living room in the home of Kai, Skylor, Copic and Jadyn. Copic had insisted that Lisa and Zephyr join her in her house while the boys stayed at Lloyd's. She was awake, but very tired still and could not force herself to move. So she just lay there on the floor nearly drifting in and out of a light sleep as she got lost in her thoughts. They had all returned to the home of the ninja in the very early hours of the morning. More medical help had shown up, as well as some law enforcement. All the villagers who had survived had been relocated. Although Zephyr was sure they would never see them again, she also knew that this was only the beginning of perhaps a lifetime of emotional pain for some of them. It reminded her how lucky she was that her whole family, or the whole family from Hiroshi's Labyrinth anyway, was still alive. True her father had fallen into the hands of her grandfather and was now injured and left to his mercy, but he was still alive, and from what Jadyn had said it sounded like he still had fight in him. Her father was smart, and he had always had a will to make sure everyone survived no matter what. A memory of when she was just a child came to mind. There had been a horrible storm that had strong winds and high waters. The sharpetooths, the creatures that Zephyr had come face to face with a few days ago in Hiroshi's Labyrinth, had been driven away from their original home by the weather to where Zephyr and her family lived. It had been a frightening experience, however her father had somehow led everyone to safety. The idea that he used to be apart of the pack still seemed so strange, however it definitely explained her family's way of life and why she had grown up in constant paranoia. Her father had been afraid of what his father would do if he had found her mother, Uncle Grayson, Aunt Amilia, her grandparents and then later her siblings, cousins and herself. Alpha had found her eventually though, and captured her. If it hadn't have been for her friends there was a chance she might've still been there.
But now Alpha had Jadyn instead of her, and he was only still alive because of a prophecy that promised the pack victory. It must have also been because of the prophecy that Alpha didn't want her near the den. But how long would her grandfather be willing to keep Jadyn alive for the sake of the prophecy? On the night she had been taken to the den, the night of Day of the Departed, Alpha had suggested that she might never see Jadyn again. It was clear he had the intention to end his life. Now that Zephyr thought about it she remembered how he had been brought up in the first place. Zephyr had asked what happened to Alpha's face and he responded telling her that she should ask Jadyn about it. But what would Jadyn know about Alpha's damaged face? He hadn't met Alpha before as far as she knew, and surely he hadn't been there when it had happened. Or was he?.. Another memory came to mind, when they were looking at maps of Ninjago in Sensei Lloyd's dojo, Jadyn had been telling her about where he used to live. That was when she had first fully noticed the odd scar on the side of his face, an old burn, just like Alpha's... Could it be a coincidence? It seemed unlikely that there wasn't a connection considering it fit what both had said in the past. But, how old was he if and when Jadyn and her grandfather had met before? He had been seventeen when she met him months ago and it must have been at the very least a few years ago that he got his scar... She decided she would try asking him all about it later that night when they met up to exchange information like planned.
She turned in her blankets to lay on her other side and glanced up at a framed picture above a fireplace on the wall. It had the red ninja Kai and master of amber Skylor in their ninja gi. Standing next to them were two teenagers, one being Copic who was wearing a sweater with a cat on it, and the other being Jadyn wearing a red jacket. The picture must have been a few years old because Jadyn was shorter and looked younger, maybe in his early or mid teens. Although he was younger he still had his signature charm and his smile looked about the same. It unfortunately wasn't like the grin she would often see him do though. Zephyr's bangs fell in her eyes, obscuring her view of the picture. She'd see him later that night, to make sure he was still alright and for him to give her information about the pack... The little orange cat was sleeping on a blanket next to her. He had a small cast on his leg that a medical assistant who Lisa had befriended had been nice enough to put on him. They had asked some of the villagers who the cat belonged to and they had said he had belonged to an elderly man named Mr. Bangor who had lived in the village longer then anyone. He had only recently got the kitten because his old cat had passed away a few months ago. Sadly though, when they had inquired about Mr. Bangor's whereabouts they were told he hadn't survived the attack. They were also told he had influenced the rest of the village greatly, convincing everyone that Ninjago didn't need a new dictating ruler as well as convincing some nearby villages of the same view. He had apparently even made the news awhile back. None of the villagers were in any position to take care of the cat, and when she had asked the villagers who had told them about Mr. Bangor they had said he would probably be sent to the animal shelter. So Zephyr had taken the little cat with her when they had all left and he had spent the night resting near Zephyr. She turned again, this time so she was laying on her back. She knew she would have to get up eventually. There was still so much that she and the team had to look into. Lisa had gotten up nearly an hour ago, and as far as Zephyr knew Copic was awake too.

I like this part. It's a moment of quiet and I like how your words drift with Zephyr's mind. :3

She heaved a long sigh of exasperation before sitting up and blinking at the bright morning light that came through the living room window. How blinding and cruel the light could seem in the morning... Just then Copic walked into the living room, coffee in hand. There was a rat perched on her shoulder who she seemed to be muttering something to. She was wearing purple and pink pajamas, however she still had her lab coat and goggles on. It took her moment to notice Zephyr staring up at her. When she finally did she looked down at Zephyr and said. "Ah, you're awake. Lisa made breakfast if you're hungry. You're going to need all the ninja energy you can get. By the way, how's my brother? I hear you talked to him last night, care to give me the details?" Zephyr hesitated and replied tierdly. "Maybe later when Lisa is around so I don't have to explain it too many times..." It took Zephyr longer then she would have liked to get ready that morning. She actually tried brushing her blue streaked blonde hair for the first time in days and changed into a fresh ninja gi. Copic gave the little orange cat some tuna while Lisa took care of and fed her rabbit Luma. As Zephyr ate the breakfast Lisa had made, which was oatmeal and eggs, she told Copic and Lisa about her encounter with Jadyn in the village ruins. She kept it brief and didn't go into much detail expect for the important stuff like the prophecy and what had happened to her father and Jadyn at the den. When she had finished Copic said. "See, I told you you would find him, and you found him twice yesterday night." Lisa commented thoughtfully. "I wonder why the aorura minerals are so important..." Just then there was a knock at the door, the little cat's hair stood up and the rat on Copic's shoulder squeaked in surprise. Zephyr instinctively tensed up as well. Copic rushed to the door in the living room and peered through the spy hole in the door. "Heyyy, it's just the boys and good old uncle Lloydy out there." Said Copic right before she started to undo about a dozen door locks. Moe and Nathan rushed inside with excited yet shocked looks on their faces. And Sensei followed with a more solemn look.
Moe spoke in a unreadable tone. "You guys have got to see what we found." Zephyr, Copic and Lisa followed Moe, Nathan and Sensei Lloyd outside and over to where Lloyd's jet was parked. Sensei Lloyd opened the cockpit and got inside as he said. "Everyone get in, that way I can close us in and we can hear better." Everyone climbed into the jet and Sensei closed the top. He then said. "Jadyn left us a recording it seems. Listen closely. It's probably very important." He pushed a button and Zephyr's heart jumped as the recorded voice of Jadyn came through the speakers. "Guys, it's me, Jadyn... I don't have much time, but I'm going to try to explain what I can for now. I was told to come along with the pack, but was also told to stay in the swat van. They appear to be here to destroy the village. For what reason I don't know yet. I tried to stop them the best I could, but, there was only so much I could do... Zechariah is at the den, Alpha broke his legs, but Zechariah convinced Alpha to let me live. I'll explain in more detail some other time... I will do my best to find the pack's weaknesses and what Alpha is planning. Goodbye for now..." Lisa spoke. "Zephyr told us that he told her more about what happened." Sensei said. "He probably left the message before speaking with Zephyr. Zephyr, can you tell us about your conversation last night?" Zephyr told Nathan, Moe, and Sensei Lloyd what she had told Lisa and Copic not to long ago. Sensei commented when she had finished. "Is that boy really going to face the pack on his own like that?" "It seems so..." Said Lisa. "Well technically," Said Copic, " he's actually part of the pack now, because he's fox rank, whatever that is. Man, shouldn't I be proud of my brother? Joining a creepy underground wolf cult that wants us all gone." Moe repiled. "When you say it like that it sounds so much worse..." Zephyr spoke. "He's going to try to gather more information and the two of us are going to try and meet up tonight." "You didn't mention THAT earlier." Said Copic. "Yeah, we agreed to meet at the same place." Repiled Zephyr. "Just the two of you? Are you sure you don't need the rest of us to come along?" Asked Moe.
Sensei Lloyd said thoughtfully. "If it's supposed to be a secret meeting it might be better if there's less people. I'm fine with Zephyr going alone to meet him if that's what they planned." "Yeah," said Nathan, " the rest of us can focus more on what me and Zephyr learned at the den. Speaking of which, Sensei, didn't you tell me last night we might be able to look into that more today?" "Yes, but how about we discuss that in my house." Said Sensei Lloyd opening the jet and getting out. Inside Lloyd's living room they all either took spots on the couch or the floor. Sensei Lloyd, Nathan, and Lisa sat on the couch. Moe and Zephyr took spots on the floor. Copic stood at a little distance stroking her rat. Nathan spoke first. "So, we need to find a way to keep people safe from the pack, keep the aorura minerals out of the pack's hands, and most importantly, make sure no one gets crushed by a giant astroid." "Which by then it'll be a meteorite technically." Said Copic matter of factly. "Doesn't matter what it'll be called." Said Nathan in a slightly annoyed tone. "I have an idea," said Lisa solemnly, "but I don't think you are going to like it..." "I think any ideas are helpful right now." Said Zephyr. "Well, what if we just let the pack take care of the aurora minerals and the asteroid? It's obviously a concern of their's as well, and I feel like we'd be just making things worse if-" "Excuse me, what?" Interrupted Nathan. "Let the pack deal with it?! How is that a good idea?" "I'm saying it's more important that we make sure the pack doesn't attack anyone else." Said Lisa, her tone still calm. "So far they have been gathering aorura minerals without hurting anyone so long as they are not bothered. So what if we let them just have the aurora minerals. I don't know what they intend to do with the aurora minerals, but still, if it could keep people safe from the asteroid..."
"They are making weapons out of some of them..." Said Zephyr as a chill went up her body just thinking about when Max had threatened to end Jadyn's life with one of them just the other day. For some reason a horrified expression appeared on Lisa's face. She glanced down at one of her hands which was bandaged up. "Oh, that's right..." "So what do we do Sensei?" Asked Moe. "I'm trying to think..." Said Sensei Lloyd holding his head in his hands. There was a moment of silence before he spoke again. "I think, it's time the other ninja knew about all this... And I think all of you should inform your friends and family members who aren't involved yet and don't know anything yet." Right away Zephyr thought of her older brother Gavin who was as far as she knew was still in Ninjago City trying to learn about and get a job in graphic design. He had no idea what had happened to their family and that people could be in danger. "I'm going to contact my uncle, and a few of the other elemental masters and past elemental masters." Said Moe. "I'm going to Ninjago City and New Oraborous to find my friends," said Nathan. "and then send a message to my family somehow..." "I need to go there too, to find my brother and warn him." Said Zephyr. "I'll help you contact the ninja, Sensei." said Lisa. Sensei Lloyd said thoughtfully. "Alright, I'll drop Zephyr and Nathan off in Ninjago City in the jet. Moe, I'm assuming you can go back to your family farm to contact people. And Lisa can come with me. Copic, do you have plans or do you want to help?" "Actually, I think I'll come along with Nathan and Zephyr to the cities. They might need my help." "It's decided then, everyone get ready to leave." said Sensei Lloyd.

Ha! XD Jadyn, we're so proud of you, seeing you in a creepy underground cult trying to kill everyone is what we've always envisioned for you!

Skylor was going through her daily training. Currently she was punching a punching bag as if it were all her troubles and problems rolled up into a physical object. It was strange, still having her element when Kai and the other ninja didn't. Well, Nya did, but she hardly used it anymore, almost as if she had kinda already accepted the idea of giving it up someday. Skylor however, dreaded the idea of giving up her elemental power. She didn't trust many people that much, and if she was honest, she didn't want to give it up, not ever. Whoever she did pass it to would have a target on their back and so much power to their disposal. The obvious choice to pass it to,was unfortunately: Copic. Skylor did care for her greatly, however she didn't trust her with something that important. If she had been the one forced to give up her powers instead, she would have chosen Jadyn to pass it to, just as Kai had. Copic was just... Special. She was always more interested in science and experiments than in combat training or weapons, or anything to do with elemental masters or ninja. It seemed that under more serious circumstances she would usually pay attention to little things and would use her humor to cheer herself up, even when it was uncalled for. But what got to Skylor the most was that Copic was very similar to Chen in certain ways. It had shocked her again and again when Copic would do or say something that almost completely mirrored Skylor's father. Even her expressions from time to time would make Skylor recall memories of her father. She knew it wasn't fair to be wary of Copic because of things she didn't even know she was doing. But the nagging fear that Copic might one day become like Chen kept coming back to her. Not to mention, Skylor worried what crazy life threatening expirements Copic would try if she had access to elemental powers. Because Copic herself had actually said that's exactly what she would do with the element of amber.
