" Yes, I would listen to the fox if I were in your unfortunate position. " Mused one of the pack members coldly. He scratched his scruffy blonde chin. " You know I usually don't deal with intruders but I just happened to be available. I won't let you get the best of us this time gravity ninja. " Max smirked, just slightly. Was he still upset about the mine accident? " Jet, bring out one of your experiments... " A red haired man with a frightening scar going all the way down one side of his face and neck brought out a glowing water-like sword. Behind him a woman with blue, pink and purple multi-colored hair and smaller scar of her own followed him with a giddy evil look on her face. Zephyr remembered her from the last time she was at the den, Omincron.
" Oh hand it me, let me hold it. " Chirped Omincron excitedly. Jet gave in and handed it to her as he slipped back into the shadows. Max held out his hand for the sword, but Omincron held back. " Can't I use it? "
" No. " Said Max firmly. " That isn't your job. Besides you don't even know what I was going to do with it. "
" It isn't your job either miner boy. You can just tell me what to do. " She argued. Max looked annoyed.
" You are causing confusion and delay. Just hand it over. " Jet came out of the den with a different sword just like it and handed it to Max, as he left again he muttered,
" Just continue. " Max sighed in relief.
" At least someone has an ounce of sense around here. "
As the pack members argued Zephyr had been trying to get Jadyn's attention. Just when she was about to give up on running and fighting their way out and just try lifting them both out of there with her gravity Max turned his attention back to her.
" Now what was I saying? Ah yes that's right. " He walked over to Jadyn's side and put the beautiful sword up to his neck. Jadyn didn't do anything about it, unafraid he stood there like he had the whole time. Zephyr realized he either didn't think Max would actually hurt him or he just didn't care about the threat. Max continued. " Like I said, I'd listen to the fox. "
Fox? Oh yeah, that's what they called elemental masters.
Jadyn spoke again, his voice less horse then before.
" Just go Zephyr, please, for everyone's sake. "
" The way I see it if he's gone we lose nothing. We can find a new fox among wolves. " Pressed Max.
Fox among-?
Zephyr's heart pounded as Max brought sword even closer to his hostage. " I'll give to the count of ten. If you aren't gone by then I'll do what I wish with him.. " Zephyr hesitated, not sure what the right thing was to do here. " One. " She glanced at all the warriors surrounding them. " Two. " She glanced at the entrance of the den, was her father and grandfather in there? Was her father alright? " Three. " What to do? " Four. " What if she could never find the den again? " Five. " What could she do? What should she do? " Six!" Said Max warningly. Would he actually smash him? For real? " Seven. " Could she use her gravity to take the sword? It was so close to his throat though, even the slightest movement- " Eight. " She couldn't take the risk, she knew she could never live with herself if he was telling the truth. " Nine! " She ran past the pack members and up the steep incline. She didn't dare looked back. She just hopped the pack was as honor based as she thought it was. She was nearly at the top. " TEN! " She disappeared into the foliage and looked back the moment she dared to.
After Zephyr was out of sight Max put the sword down. Jadyn wiped some of the dirt off his face.
" Huh, it worked like a charm, and got rid of her fast. Just like Alpha said it would. " Said Max satisfied and relaxed now. Jadyn glared at him through his ninja hood, resisting the urge to dislocate Max's jaw for being so cruel to her. " Maybe you are useful after all. " Said Max studying Jadyn.
" To a point. " Said a voice behind them, they turned to see Haiki had just came back to the ravine. He glared at Jadyn. " Why didn't you lead her away from the den like you were told? "

I best be posting some more parts of this soon. I've got some written, but I'm going to run out of pre written parts soon probably. Also expect some of the newer parts to be better quality since I've actually learned a lot about how not to write lately. XD

"You led her right to the den..." Most of the wolf warriors now glared at him. Omincron was pouting, Jet stood like a wraith in the shadow of the den, and the pack member who Jadyn thought he heard someone call Rose just looked tired. After a moment of silence Haiki nodded to Max saying. "I'll deal with him accordingly." They all went back into the den and walked through the garage area. Jet went straight to organizing his smithing and welding tools while everyone else continued into the main room of the den. Haiki stood in the middle of the room and most of the pack members who had been outside gathered around on the edges. Jadyn noticed that these were mostly the younger warriors. Students, pack rank and wolf rank alike. Then Haiki got into a stance and put his head up, coffing his hands over his mouth he made a loud howl. "The challenger's cry." mumered many of the wolf warriors. Then a twin call sounded from the side of the room that they had all come in. Omincron stood there in the same position as Haiki. Haiki pointed at Jadyn, and Omincron pointed at Max. All the warriors in the room started to cheer and howl in inhuman eerie unison. It shook the air around him and he really did feel like a fox among wolves.

As the cheering died down a little Max stepped out into the middle facing Omincron. Haiki looked expectantly at Jadyn. A voice behind him hissed into his ear. "What are you waiting for? Go fight him." It was Calvin. "You have to fight back or you'll regret-" Jadyn didn't hear the rest of his warning as the other warriors behind him pushed him forward tward Haiki. Then in one moment Haiki rushed to attack Jadyn and Omincron changed at Max. The room erupted with cheers, shouts, hollers, and mostly howls. Haiki flung his full wight at Jadyn in a flying kick, he stepped partly out of the the way and took half the blow and nearly falling over. Haiki grabbed Jadyn's arm and shoulder, trying to get pull him into a lock and kick him at the same time. Jadyn tried to throw him to the side but he held firm. Although Haiki seemed to be a year or two older then Jadyn they were matched strength. Beside them Omincron and Max fought wildly like dogs, they rammed into Jadyn and Haiki and then the four of them were in tusal. Omincron was pulling at Max's blonde hair as he fought to get her off his back. Jadyn pushed Haiki to the floor trying to restrain his arms while pinning his legs with his own. Max and Omincron were now separate from them again. Haiki broke free one of his legs and kneed Jadyn in the gut, Jadyn kneed him in the gut in return and then jumped off him. He put his foot on Haiki's stomach and pantted. " I won, we're done here. " Omincron had gained victory over Max and now they both looked over at Jadyn. Omincron helped Max off the ground and they both stalked toward Jadyn like wolves stalking a wounded deer.

Jadyn stepped back, not in the condition to fight them both. Haiki rose from the ground and the three of them teamed up on him. Max and Haiki with matching slight smirks and Omincron with a psychopath's smile. They backed him into the far wall and all three prepared to strike. He tried fending all three off at once as long as he could, but he was outnumbered and exhausted. They started to actually get hits in on their target, making him weaker with each blow. It was when a wet liquid started to run from his mouth that Haiki signaled the other two to stop. Jadyn collapsed against the wall. He touched the liquid with his hand and looked at it, it was redder then the red on his gi. "That's all I wanted to see." Said Haiki wiping some of of it off Jadyn's face and studying it grinning. The pack all went their separate ways in the den now that the show was over. Some lingered behind chatting with each other or looking down at Jadyn from a distance. Jadyn felt light headed and his vision started to cloud over. He pleaded with himself. Stay awake, stay awake...
