As the leaders of the Forest Band gather, Harfor once again outlines the current situations with the ruins and the Dragon Kingdom. "So, at this stage, it looks like we have support in the Shadow Kingdom and the Lion Kingdom. However, there is trouble in the former and other groups opposing us in the latter. If we can secure the help of both, we may be able to convince Amvion to allow our proposition to go through. Maybe there's some concession we can make to help with that." He looks over to Votok and Tiberius. "Votok, you will go to the Shadow Kingdom and help them resolve their trouble. Alpida appears to be on our side, at least, so make sure she maintains influence. Tiberius, you will go to the Lion Kingdom and discuss our stance with Lord Urbien and Lady Valerie. Valerie supported our proposal, but Urbien did not and has already pledged his support to Amvion behind Valerie's back. See if you can find a way to undermine Urbien and help Valerie take the lead."
Aye, sir. *Tiberius saddles up and rides toward the Lion Kingdom.* OOC: Who's gonna be in the Lion Kingdom? You?
OOC: I'm controlling most of the characters there, including Lord Urbien. Shamrock controls Lady Valerie, but he's not able to post very frequently.
"Thank you. I'll meet you back here when I find him." She heads off to continue her search.
Karthon heads back to his shade under the tree.
Several minutes go by before Kalena returns with Gidie in tow, floating on his little carpet. "Let's get going. I'll explain the situation on the way."

*Stands and fallows them*
As they leave the fortress, they run into Votok, who is accompanied by his Pard and a small escort of soldiers. It appears he is being sent to talk to the Shadow Warriors, and Kalena and Gidie agree to travel with him.

*Fallows the growing group*
As they travel, Kalena explains the situation. A couple months ago, when she first brought her concerns to Gidie, she encountered Alpida, who had recently visited her old friend Elowyn, who is a tree. Elowyn, who Karthon knows gave Alpida the prophecy that led the two of them to awaken the Kriatoma to fight the Xain Invasion, had delivered another prophecy. Alpida wanted Kalena to deliver the prophecy to Amion, but Amion left the Forest Band a while ago, so she couldn't. Hearing the refugees speak of ice and storms reminded Kalena of the prophecy, and now she needs to go talk to Alpida so they can figure out what they need to do.

Karthon listens nodding.
Together, they arrive at the gates of the castle. It is very quiet. Only one or two guards are visible atop the wall. One of them notices as they approach and calls out rather unimpressively. "Halt and state your intentions in the name of the Black Knight!"
Kalena and Votok step forward to speak for the group. "I am Captain Votok of the Forest Band and I have important business to discuss with the Black Knight regarding the competing proposals of the Forest Band and the Dragon Knights." "And I am Kalena of the Forest Band and I have urgent information I must impart to Shadow Guard Alpida with the wizard Gidie."
"They are currently attending to the defeat of the rebels and should return shortly. I can speak with Shadow Guard Ximon and ask if you may stay here until --"
Votok cuts him off. "We don't have time for that. Point us in the direction of those we seek and we will find them ourselves."
"Um, sure. The rebels are hiding to the north. That is where the Black Knight has taken the army."
And the group sets off once again to continue their journey.

*Fallows the group toward the north.*
The march continues.
OOC: Once again, I'll take some travel time. I want to wait for your arrival until there's a good opportunity in what's going on up there.

Quietly humming to herself, a lone figure draped in a tattered green cloak proceeds through the Forest on a cart full of tools. Allowing her horse to guide them forward, the figure carries on polishing a large gemstone that will soon be set into the pommel of a magnificent sword. The calm night complements the enchanting scene.
"And if I should own a large haversack, then may it be filled with enough vittles to carry me back.
And if the rain should come down a-pouring, then I'll-"
A small droplet fell upon the horse's muzzle, awakening him from his steady slumber. Now standing upright, he looked to the sky and let out neigh.
The tinkerer set down the gemstone and pulled a funny face. "Yes, rains a-coming. So shan't we be off then? If ye like, I'd can carry ye."
Rolling his eyes, the horse resumes his course.
From behind a bush, two yellow eyes watch them carefully...

The bright moonlight illuminated their path as a light drizzle began pouring down on the two friends. Now deep in the forest, nothing but trees could be seen for miles.
Suddenly shattering the silence are the cries of an unknown creature roaring loudly into the night. Erin, the horse, becomes spooked and begins to buckle.
Taking hold of the reins, the tinkerer tries coaxing her horse forward. "Easy boy, tis nothing but the cry of some poor creature. Be still now, be still," she says in a soft tone while leaning forward to stroke his mane. "And if this is to be, then why not pay a visit?"
Erin turns his head toward her, giving off a surprised look that questioned whether or not she was truly serious.

Diving back into the cart, the tinkerer uncovers a long sword hidden in a pile of hay and instructs Erin to walk towards the sound. He obeys, but is extremely cautious...
The cart sojourns on, bravely lead by Erin who anxiously prepares for the worst. Clouding his head were images of a fearsome beast with dangerous claws, yellow eyes, wicked fangs-
Interrupting his daymares is the sight of a small child, no more than 10 years old, crying profusely. Feeling sorry for it, Erin nudges its shoulder with his muzzle twice before stepping aside to give it some room. The child soon wipes his tears and looks upward, noticing what appears to be an empty cart sitting quietly by itself...

Crawling out from his bed of leaves and broken twigs, the child begins to stroke Erin's mane before looking back at the weathered cart once more. Taking a peak inside, he is amazed by the various tools and unfinished weapons dangling above him.
Picking up what appears to be a broken mallet sitting on the floor, he begins to play with it and later slips the imaginary weapon into his right pocket. Juggling a polished gemstone, the child catches eye of a mysterious hay stack and inches toward it for a closer inspection...
Letting out a wail, he is dragged to the ground by a hand wrapped in bandages. He scrambles for the mallet, but is soon met by a long sword aimed at his neck.

Kicking out in rage, the child is unable to escape the grasp of Rose who emerges from the pile of hay with a chilling stare that silenced any further screaming.
Inching closer, she is about to strike him a non-lethal blow to the head before reeling back in surprise at the hoof she grasped in her hand.
"By thunder-"
The swift crack of a weathered wooden mallet to the chin left Rose seeing stars as she flopped to the floor unconscious, a silly grin on her face.
