"Just a moment. Allow me to go first. The Shadow Warriors are favorable to our proposal. The Lion Knights appear to be divided, but I'm unsure who's actually holding power at this time. Lord Amvion asked the meeting to break and reconvene at a later time. Until then, we'll need to keep a close eye on the pine forest. Now, Captain, Tiberius, what do you have to tell me?"
These refugees have come here, and they will be staying here. What else do you wish for me to do, sir?
"They are welcome to stay here, but I imagine they'd prefer their own settlement if they plan to remain permanently in the area. I'd like to talk to their leaders."

Sure, but I forgot who they are.
OOC: They are being led by a former member of the Forest Band named Kristen Vogelhaus, a member of the Plith'mon (from whom Siku hails) named Ilayura, and a goblin named Evgein.

"Very good. Please bring them here so that we may speak."

OOC: Will do. He's been at the Forest Band's fortress for several weeks now, adjacent to the plans going on but not really involved. When the refugees arrived, he probably would have helped get them situated. Harfor and some other leaders have just returned from a meeting, and the leaders of the refugees have been sent in to talk with them. Karthon watches this from beneath a tree some distance away.
"Very good. Please bring them here so that we may speak."
*Brings them to you.*
Kristen, Ilayura, and Evgein are quickly retrieved, along with Siku. Between the four of them, Captain Tiberius, Harfor, and Kalena the room has become a little cramped. Harfor welcomes in the newcomers, nodding to Siku. "Welcome to the Forest Band. My name is Harfor and I am our leader. Please, tell me more about what brings you here."
Kristen begins, describing how she was recruited to help find certain individuals who could aid against a terrible and mysterious threat in the Frigid North. Among those she recruited were Lady Alice, Lord Darthraxx, Lord Demiu, Drake Kane, Kain Griffin, Kestrel Creerden, Ugh the Troll, and the Black Knight Lord Valithor. About a year ago, they sailed north to meet with the various peoples of the Frigid North and warn them of the coming threat.
Evgein speaks next, describing how they brought the alliance together and naming the groups -- Adarcreote, Maruz Pilaunicja, Oirsenfiljakki, and Plith'mon. He goes on to tell of the expeditions they sent to investigate the threat, including the one where they finally caught sight of the Frost Gianst marching southwards for war. Most agreed to stand and fight them when the army arrived, but they knew they would likely not survive, so they decided to send the children, elderly, and others unable to fight to safety.
Ilayura tells of how the three of them led these refugees away, traveling for months to reach their destination. The Oirsenfiljakki left to join their dwarven brethren, while many Maruiz Pilaunicja joined other groups of orcs and some of the Adarcreote met up with different minotaur clans. Most of them, however, followed Kristen Vogelhaus to this place, as she had once been a part of this group under the leadership of Ranwell Arch and Sir Egolius. As they neared their destination, they encountered Siku and Captain Votok, who helped guide them the rest of the way here.

*Listens*
As the three of them finish their tale, the rest of the group takes it all in. Tiberius sees that Kalena's eyes have gone wide, and she pulls Evgein aside. "The phrases you used to describe the Frost Giants. You said their march was like a great storm? Ice and storms? Why did you say that?"
Evgein shrugs. "I . . . I don't know. That's just the feeling I had, I guess. Why?"
Kalena doesn't answer the question, turning instead to Harfor. "I think something very bad is happening, and it may be too late to stop it. I need to talk to Gidie and find Alpida."
Harfor looks back at her, clearly confused. "What about our plans with the Ruins and the new Wardens?"
"This is . . . more important. Alpida told me a prophecy that I was supposed to pass on to a man who no longer here. I trust you to take care of everything. With any luck, I'll be back soon enough." With that, she rushes out the door.
