Chapter 1: LEGO Message Boards
Tuesday February 28th, 2017. This was the day when everything changed, as WhiteAlligator pressed the “Accept” button on the very last moderated post of the LEGO Message Boards. The next few minutes only made her and the other mods tear up as she wrote the last “Thank you” message to all the users in the announcements.
“Well, that’s it. The LEGO Message Boards are gone.” She said.
“So what’s going to happen tomorrow?” Asked IrrationalSeagull.
“I guess just another day of moderation, just on LEGO Life and the Galleries, without Mod Tower.” replied WA.
“Unfortunately not for me.” replied miakittymoon.
Miakittymoon had loved the LEGO Message Boards the most out of all the mods, mainly because she had been moderating the LMBs close to ten years. She missed talking with LEGO fans, and really getting to know the LEGO fans through the internet, and so she left the moderator position.
The Mods all packed their things in boxes and moved out of Mod Tower, which was going to be renovated completely for a few months to suit the style of LEGO Life. Meanwhile, they would moderate LEGO online content at a temporary location.
It was a June of 2017, and after a few months of Mod Tower renovation later, all the Mods except miakittymoon arrived. Their moderating room was redecorated with brighter colors and new workstations.
“Welcome to your new Mod Tower!” yelled an enthusiastic employee as he greeted them and shook all of their hands.
“Who are you?” asked Wildbunchz.
“You can call me ColorfulEnchantingKazoo! I’m your new manager of all moderation activites.”
“Manager? We weren’t told of a new manager.” replied WhiteAlligator.
“Hmm, that’s strange. I’ll ask the CEO later.”
All the Mods went to their new workstations and replaced everything from their personal boxes. Later they went to the break room without ColorfulEnchantingKazoo for a bit. KoolKanin didn’t come yet because she was still unpacking.
“I don’t know if I like this ColorfulEnchantingKazoo. He sounds fake.” said catwizard.
“Well, he does have a fake name. Seriously, who goes by ColorfulEnchantingKazoo?” replied WhiteAlligator.
“Well, we do go by our usernames from the LMBs.”
“But at least we picked those names. ColorfulEnchantingKazoo just got it from the random algorithm of LEGO Life.”
The mods then became silent for a bit. Then koolkanin came into the room.
“Here, maybe this will give us a little motivation.” She said as she pulled out a picture inside a frame. It was zachcheung’s group picture with all the users and the mods in it. Koolkanin hung it on the wall of the break room and it made all the mods smile.
“Those were good old days.” Said Cicada646.
Then ColorfulEnchantingKazoo came into the break room.
“Break time is over! Time to get to work!”
The mods replied with nothing and went to their workstations.

Chapter 2, Part 2: LEGO Galleries.
As the day rolled by, the mods continued to moderate the LEGO Life and LEGO gallery content. Catwizard was moderating a creation on the galleries that caught his eye. It was one of MockingbirdInc’s hilarious comics called “Talk Show Part 4 - Lego Comic #89”. He really enjoyed them, and he especially liked this one. He wanted to make a comment, so he wrote in the comment box and pressed the “Add Comment” button. He expected his comment to be live on the page, but instead he got an error message. He was puzzled at first, so he tried again and it still didn’t work.
“How come I can’t comment on gallery creations?” asked Catwizard to ColorfulEnchantingKazoo.
“Because you lost your privilege to talk to LEGO fans.” ColorfulEnchantingKazoo replied. All the mods opened their eyes in shock, and looked toward ColorfulEnchantingKazoo.
“I’m sorry… what?” asked Catwizard.
“But we were allowed talk to LEGO fans on the LEGO Message Boards.” replied WhiteAlligator.
“Let me remind you, WhiteAlligator that the LEGO Message Boards are gone. That was your job back then. Your job now is to moderate, not tell children that their spam is appreciated.”
WhiteAlligator broke into tears, but Stevensbike stood up in anger.
“How dare you!” she exclaimed.
“Guards!” ColorfulEnchantingKazoo shouted. He refused to answer the question as two people in suits and dark sunglasses came and grabbed Stevensbike by the arms and dragged her away. All the other mods were in shock.
“You have guards? Really?” Stevensbike replied.
“Question my authority again, and you’ll all be replaced.” ColorfulEnchantingKazoo stated.
Catwizard stood up and said, “NO! I refuse to be a part of whatever thing you’ve done here. Moderation is supposed to be relaxed and encouraging towards the fans, not ignorant!” All the other mods agreed with catwizard. They had begun a strike.
“Guards, take them all away. Because of your reckless behavior, the galleries will be unmoderated for before I can find replacements for you.” And, all the mods were taken away by the guards out of the moderation room.
The galleries weren’t moderated for the rest of the month of June 2017.

Chapter 3, Part 1: LEGO Friends
During that same month of June, Zach was just at college. He was almost done with the school year and he was preparing for exams and being active on the LMBE. He was able to connect with his friends from the LMBs thanks to a new forum opened up by the users. He still contemplated the closure of the LMBs, the arrival of LEGO Life, and other LEGO news. LEGO Life hadn’t been accepted very well from the community, and the new LEGO sets hadn’t been received well in which many people complained were just un-creative rehashes of old sets.
Later that day, he built a LEGO set. It was the LEGO Friends 41319 Snow Resort Hot Chocolate Van set. He usually doesn’t get LEGO Friends sets, but his mom found this set for a very good price, and Zach was down to build any LEGO.
As he built the set, he noticed that there was a missing 2x4 Medium Azure Tile to complete the van.
“Ah well, I’ll just call LEGO Customer Service. I’m sure it’s just an accident.” he said. He called the Customer Service phone number and eventually a female customer service agent answered.
“Hello, this is LEGO Customer Service, how can I help you?”
“Hi, I got a LEGO Friends set with a missing 2x4 Medium Azure Tile piece. Can you help me?”
“Sure. Do you have a LEGO ID? This will make the shipping and email process easier.” Zach proceeded to give out his LEGO ID for shipping confirmation. For some reason, it took a lot longer to process than what he has usually experienced.
“Um, hello? Are you still there?” Zach asked. “Yes, I’m still here. Apologies for the long wait.” She replied. “That’s alright.” Zach responded.
“Are you familiar with LEGO Friends?” The customer service agent asked in a kind and enthusiastic voice. “Yes, I am.” Zach replied curiously.
“Do you know which character loves animals and rides horses?” “Yeah, that’s Mia.”
“Do you know what kind of pet Olivia has?” “Umm, I don’t know, a cat?”
“Close enough, I was thinking of a cute kitty. And do you know what Olivia likes to look at in the night sky?” “Umm, the moon?”
“Wow, you really know LEGO Friends quite well.” Zach was puzzled by the LEGO Friends questions.
She spoke again, “Last question. I like Frodo, How’s yours?”
Stares at new part with mouth hanging slightly open.* OoO Uh.... Why is there a creepy Customer Service Lady? Did this happen to you in real life, Zach?
.........
Great part? I mean... it's a great story, it's just..... an odd scene.

Chapter 3, Part 2: LEGO Friends
That question made Zach most surprised. Only people on the LMBs would recognize that.
“Um, my Frodo is fine, thank you very much?" He replied. "Um… Are you from the…” “Yes I am. I think you’ll find that some of the things we talked about from LEGO Friends can help you out.”
“Um... ok. Thanks for helping me. Um…” Zach wanted to ask more questions, but the customer service agent interrupted. “I can’t talk much, but I hope your missing piece arrives on time!” Replied the Customer Service Agent.
“Yeah. I hope it does. Thanks for helping me!” “You’re welcome! Hope you have a great day!” Zach ended the call and was very puzzled of the entire conversation.
Later that day, he thought of the conversation with the mysterious customer service agent. He could tell there was something mysterious in that message besides that the customer service agent knew of the classic I Like Frodo line from the LMBs. He had to figure out which moderator he was talking to. He sat at his desk and wondered.
“Could catwizard have been on customer service? Nah, he’s a guy.” Zach thought. “BUT WAIT, Catwizard once spoke of…nah, it still can’t be him.” He had remembered the time when WhiteAlligator released a video tutorial of how to use the LEGO Message Boards and a lady’s voice was narrating it, then catwizard jokingly commented that the lady's voice was his.
“Could it be WhiteAlligator? Nah, her favorite theme is the Adventures theme with Johnny Thunder and Sam Sinister.” Then Zach decided to think about the actual conversation involving LEGO Friends.
“So, Mia likes riding horses and taking care of animals, Olivia has a cute kitty, and she likes to look at the moon in the night sky. Sounds like the usual LEGO Friends.” Then Zach wrote down the answers to the conversation and his eyes went wide open in shock because he recognized the answer immediately. “Mia...kitty... moon…..”

Lol. All will be revealed, or it already has been. I've had a few conversations with LEGO Customer Service, but none of them were like this.
Thanks! It does seem quite odd, at least by itself.
