Your username sounds like a girls name, maybe that's where it comes from....
What- NO!!!
If I must explain my username for the umpteenth time:
my parents had my username picked out for me for years, ever since I had started using usernames this username was "Mrcqm" and it was really just a string of letters that didn't make sense.
In an attempt to take control of the situation whilst still honoring the username, I started undertaking the title of "Emarcee". A phonetically spelled-out version of the first three letters in my old username. It was first used when naming one of my BIONICLE MoCs/RPCs, but when the original LMBs shut down and I came over here, I formally switched my name to Emarcee. The "Q" and "M" became this new Emarcee's lab, known as the "Queue of Em" and to justify the use of the word "queue" I imagined that the place had a LOOOONG line of people constantly waiting in front of it It is all a quite complex if not contrived way of adapting what used to be a nonsensical username into something that can actually have something of a story behind it.
However, due to the name belonging to the VERY MASCULINE robot that is LITERALLY in my profile pic, I should very much hope people assume I'm a guy, because that's what I am
Mrcqm makes more sense than Emarcee... I came up with my username myself, way back in 2009...

(Imagines a picture of a very muscular Emarcee who is a lifeguard, with female Agori crowding around him and Kratark in the background holding a beach ball, sad that his father won’t play catch with him)

I for one very much like the idea of not having a username that's just a string of consonants

Ahem
In Kratark's defense, I don't think he's quite that needy for Emarcee's approval.

LEGO to launch fully-sustainable LEGO bricks in 2018 Author: Berix
Trees, leaves, flowers, and other assorted plant-like bricks have long been a part of LEGO's long, ever-expanding list of elements. However, in 2018, they are getting an upgrade. In the interest of protecting the environment, the LEGO company has made the costly yet worthwhile decision to make all of their plant elements out of fully sustainable materials. The elements themselves, made from the new material, have already passed. Tim Brooks, Vice President, Environmental Responsibility at the LEGO Group, had this to say: "OH! OH! Wait 'till those Republicans get a load of THIS! We found a way to make plastic from, get this: sugar cane. Yup, this is what we've been spending our budget on! This is what BIONICLE died for!"
SUGAAAH?!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! PLASTIC FROM SUGAAAAAAAH?!?!?! Tim Brooks had more to say: "Hey, wait a minute! What are you doing?! Hey those are our only prototypes- WHOA! WHOA DUDE! WHY ARE YOUR PUTTING THEM IN YOUR MOUTH?!?! IT'S NOT ACTUALLY SUGAR!!! IT'S JUST THE OUTSIDE PART OF THE SUGAR CANE!!! HEY YOU'RE GONNA CHOKE- SOMEBODY CALL AN AMBULANCE!"
The LEGO Group is located in Denmark, which, like literally every other first world country besides the Unites States, has free healthcare, which means that this reporter didn't have to spend a dime when I choked on those LEGO bricks which I thought were made of... of... SUGAAAAAH!! SUGAAAAAAH!! GIVE ME SUGAAAAAAAAH!! (How am I even writing like this, come to think of it?)
On a somewhat related note, my hospital room is really nice! The doctors come in, give me funny looks, check the little bag of water with a tube going down it that does... something. Go out, shout things in German like: "DER BIONICLE IST NICHT ZUM LEBEN GEEIGNET!!!" Now, I don't know what that means, but that's not important! Come to think of it... lemme grab my phrasebook, hold on a second... aha! The BIONICLE is not fit to... live?! Huh.
Well that explains why all the doctors were scowling at me and asking if I "even pay taxes", whatever those are.
Well, at any rate, yes. The new plant bricks are made of SUGAH cane. And they're almost identical to the old ones.
The LEGO Group is still only ranked as the 2nd most highly regarded company in the world
For the eighth year in a row, the LEGO Group has appeared in the top 10 of the Reputation Institute annual RepTrak®100 survey, coming it at number 2 again.
No, seriously. Reputation Institute still holds the LEGO Group at number 2.
Chief Executive Officer of the LEGO Group, Niels B. Christiansen, commented on the results:
"NUMBER 2?! ONLY NUMBER 2 AGAIN?!?! FREAKING NUMBER 2?!?! VWAT IST THIS NONSENSE?!?! HOW ARE WE STILL BEHIND ZE ROLEX?!?! FREAKING ROLEX IS STILL RANKED HIGHER THAN US!! A FREAKING WATCH COMPANY!! PEOPLE CAN'T EVEN AFFORD THOSE THINGS!!! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE THIS SURVEY?!"
He continues:
“Since the LEGO brick was patented 60 years ago, we have been committed to inspiring and developing the builders of tomorrow. And that's all well and good -- BUT WHY DO YOU THINK WE DO IT?! WE DO IT TO GET ON THAT DARNED REPUTATION LIST!!! I VWILL NOT BE HAPPY UNTIL VWE ARE NUMBER 1!!! NOW TAKE THAT TO YOUR PRESS COMPANY, AND PRINT IT!!! I'M GOING TO GET A DRINK, AND I'M GOING TO LISTEN TO POLKA AND YODELLING WHILE I DO IT!!!"
The RepTrak®100 study developed by Reputation Institute measures the corporate reputation of 100 companies by asking the public in 15 countries questions about the emotional appeal of each company. The study scores the companies on seven dimensions: Products & Services, Innovation, Workplace, Governance, Citizenship, Leadership and Performance.
Stephen Hahn-Griffiths, Executive Partner and Chief Research Officer at Reputation Institute commented on the ranking:
“As an organization that embraces corporate social responsibility from top to bottom, the LEGO Group ranked second based on our global RT100 Reputation Institute survey with a pulse score of 77.9 – it was the only global company to earn a strong score on the measures of Citizenship and Governance. They would've made the number 1 spot, but Rolex payed us 10 trillion dollars to put them at number 1 due to the fact that nobody cares about ridiculously expensive watches anymore, and all we had to do was throw the integrity of our survey out the window! Who could say no to that?”

On a serious note, I really don't understand how on Earth a company that produces overpriced watches for rich people ended up higher ranked than LEGO. You would think people would have a greater emotional attachment to toys than they would to watches. There has GOT to be something fishy going on here, someone rigged the survey results! I'm telling you!
ahem, sorry, it's hard for me to remember I can't speak Japanese here
Everyone! This topic has just gotten featured in Community Radio 101.2!
A big thank you to Stephanie for the advertisement! It's nice to be recognized!
In her own words: "News Article Spoofs is a fun topic created by Emarcee. 'LEGO.com contains a newsroom. In this newsroom, the LEGO group posts news articles about itself' Emarcee got the idea to create hilarious fake news for the newsroom. The topic is very enjoyable."
Slight correction here -- they are spoofs of already existing articles, but yes. I got endorsed so who am I to complain?
But uh, yeah. Whenever I see a news article in LEGO's newsroom that I think is vulnerable enough to make jokes about, I will happily put words into the mouths of LEGO's employees any day :3
