Zephyr knew she had to warn the others so she ran back to the dojo. A warrior ran ahead of her as she reached the door, Zephyr pulled out her knife and glared at the currently unarmed warrior. " Lemme through. " She said pointing her knife at the warrior. He didn't move. The door suddenly swung open and he was knocked to the ground. " Zephyr get in here! " Said Lisa. Zephyr basically pounced inside and Lisa closed the door, suddenly there was noise from several of the bedrooms and warriors came out at them. They must have pried open the widows somehow. Moe quickly did spinjizu and knocked down three of them. Lisa attempted to punch one but the warrior blocked. Nathan ran to the closet that held the training equipment and grabbed a bo staff. Zephyr put away her knife and did the same, grabbing the first weapon she could: a spear. It had a rubber spear head for training, but it would do. On the other side of the room Sensei was fighting off several warriors at once, until one of them kicked his injured leg hard. Sensei gasped in pain and fell to the floor, giving the other warriors a chance to injure him further. Before they could do unforgivable damage though Jadyn stepped in to portect him the best he could. Zephyr realized the few warriors that did come near her didn't seem to be trying as hard to defeat her as they should be, she was just swating them away with her spear. Maybe they thought the spear was real so they were more careful? Soon a second wave of warriors came in, they had what looked like blow guns in hand. Zephyr broke through the small crowd to try to help Sensei Lloyd and Jadyn. As she did so she used her element to help her jump up to the rafters and then over the rafters and then back down to ground landing a few feet away from Sensei and Jadyn.
Sensei was on the ground trying to stand, but in vain. Jadyn was almost completely overpowered by the warriors he was fighting. Zephyr joined him in fending them off. Jabbing one of them in the gut with the training spear, and then using gravity to trip another. Zephyr wasn't sure what Moe, Nathan and Lisa were doing since she was so focussed on fighting now, but she did catch glimpses of them. Suddenly darts were being shoot at them from the ceiling, the warriors with blow guns were on the rafters! Jadyn collapsed beside her and Sensei Lloyd grew still. Zephyr protected them both with all her might, but all she could do was defend. From what she could tell Jadyn hadn't fully lost consciousness yet. More darts were shot from above Zephyr used her element to make the warriors on the rafters fall off by increasing the amount of gravity around them. It was to late though, Jadyn had already been hit by another dart and was now fully unconscious. The warriors seemed to back away as soon as he lost consciousness. Most of them turned to Moe and Lisa, Nathan was already hit and unconscious. Zephyr couldn't understand why they were not paying attention to the unconscious people, it made no sense. She quickly hit the two remaining warriors fighting her in the head with her spear and rushed over to make sure Sensei and Jadyn were breathing, she breathed a sigh of relief, they were ok. She then reluctantly left them and went to quickly check that Nathan was breathing, he was ok too. Surprised that none of warriors had tried attacking her in this time she adjusted her hold on her spear and rushed over to the ones going after Moe and Lisa who had somehow made it outside by this time.

At the sight of this more warriors teamed up on her. Um hello, I'm right here! Thought Zephyr. It was honestly kind of infuriating that they seemed to be going harder on her friends. Shouldn't she have to suffer just as much as them? She was no different from them except that she grew up in the jungle isolated and hiding from people in search of her family, and no one knew that. Except the people who were after her... Could it be? It would explain why her father gave her the knife. The warriors on the roof aimed their blow guns at Moe. Zephyr wasn't going to let him end up like Jadyn, Nathan and Sensei. She used her element as she jumped for the roof and seemingly flew at the warriors hitting one with spear so hard on impact that he vomited and fell over. The others she made quick work of, mostly because she had the element of surprise on her side. Again she was to late though, Moe had already been hit... He was now unconscious as well. Now what? Lisa couldn't get darted, could she? " Zephyr, follow me! " Shouted Lisa as she ran into the garden. Zephyr jumped down from the building and reluctantly followed her. Once she had cought up to her, Lisa motioned for her to hide in the foliage. "We don't have much time until they regroup and we don't know what they'll do with our friends so hear me out quickly. I think they're after you, I don't know why but if they are you need to get out of here, it's our best option at the moment. And this way if they take me out you'll still be out there. " " But Lisa-" Zephyr protested. " If they are after you maybe they'll leave once they see you're gone. And don't worry I'll protect our friends for as long as I can. Take this. " She handed Zephyr one of Sensei's baseball shaped travelers tea holders he used to throw and create portals. " Use it however and whenever you want. "
" I don't want to leave you all though! " Said Zephyr desperately trying to think of way to convince Lisa she should stay. She was right though, they were outnumbered and it didn't look like they were trying to harm Zephyr, if they were after her the best thing she could do was to run away. That was only using logic that didn't care about how awful she felt about leaving Lisa, Nathan, Moe, Sensei Lloyd and even Jadyn to the mercy of the these warriors though. " Go! " Said Lisa. Zephyr reluctantly nodded and handed her spear to Lisa. " Then you take this, protect them and stay safe. " Then Zephyr ran, she ran through the garden and out into the open hillsides. The moon was hidden by the rain clouds, so it was dark and wet. She had the feeling she was being followed but she wasn't sure. Her run turned to a walk as she continued on and on into the night. The only things keeping her from turning back was the idea that she might be being followed and that she was somehow helping her friends by leaving. She went further than they had ever even hiked, she had past the training course hours ago and she just kept moving forward. To many times was she temped to pull out the travelers tea and go back to the dojo. Sometimes almost forgetting it had been attacked. She kept thinking about her friends, she'd never forgive herself if anything happened to any of them. She had tears in her eyes, but she couldn't tell if it was the cold air, the heat of running, or just the fact she was miserable. She then came to the end of the hills and saw a dark forest ahead. She went into the forest, it was so dark, however the storm clouds had cleared about an hour ago so she could see by what little moonlight came through the trees.
Ok, I finished writing the last chapter, it just needs some major editing along with the chapter before that, and than I need to work on the epoluge. Once I've gotten all that ready and posted I can start working on the second book.

" Yeah, that's true." Said Zephyr smiling just a little. Soon Zane was asleep and Lisa and Pixel joined them, they all talked and hung out for awhile longer until Sensei said they should be getting back. Copic, Moe, Nathan, Lisa, Jadyn, Zephyr and Sensei Lloyd said goodbye to Pixel and Skylor and got the travelers tea out of the backpacks. Zephyr took one last glance at Skylor and Pixel and the building the ninja were in as Sensei made the portal and shortly after they all walked through it. They were back in the garden now, it was hard to believe they had been so far away visiting the ninja only moments ago, it seemed like a dream of some kind now. They all went inside and had lunch. " So, will any of you be joining me at the celebration in Ninjago City tonight? " Asked Copic. " We had originally planned to stay here. " repiled Sensei sipping some juice. " But if you REALLY want to experience Day of the Departed at it's most excitement, Ninjago City is were it's at." Said Copic grinning. " Didn't you get covered in paint one year? And sick from to much candy another year? And end up on stage singing a song you made up that night in front of everyone another year? " Asked Lisa, smiling as she recalled each event. " Something seems to always happen to you on Day of the Departed, whether I'm there or not. " She added. " Yep, and this year it's going to be wining that costume contest, this year's costume of mine is going to make every other costume look like child's play." Said Copic. " What are you being? " Asked Nathan. " A werecat. " She replied proudly. " A werecat? " " Ya know I'd explain, but I gotta rush and it's kinda a long story." Copic left shortly after, no one came with her since the thought of possibly being attacked again didn't sound quite so appealing on this particular day.
Don't worry I'm not going to make a habit of the references, I just happen to have to two in the same chapter.
Later after the sun went down they lit lanterns to remember those who had past away. Zephyr silently thought of Gravis and her father's parents, she'd never met either of them, but she could at least light a lantern for them. Zephyr guessed that her friends probably were lighting their lanterns for their deceased family members, she couldn't help but wonder if Jadyn and Lisa were also remembering Jay and Nya's daughter. Sensei Lloyd told them he was lighting his lantern in remembrance of his parents and his uncle. The cold night air nipped at Zephyr's face and hands as she held her lantern in the back garden along with Jadyn, Lisa, Moe, Nathan and Sensei. In this moment all seemed as it should be despite the cold. ** Soon they decided to go inside, just as Zephyr was about to go in right after Sensei she heard Peak make a strange noise in the distance. Sensei turned around and said " I don't remember the last time I heard him make that noise... " ***
