Later after the sun went down they lit lanterns to remember those who had past away. Zephyr silently thought of Gravis and her father's parents, she'd never met either of them, but she could at least light a lantern for them. Zephyr guessed that her friends probably were lighting their lanterns for their deceased family members, she couldn't help but wonder if Jadyn and Lisa were also remembering Jay and Nya's daughter. Sensei Lloyd told them he was lighting his lantern in remembrance of his parents and his uncle. The cold night air nipped at Zephyr's face and hands as she held her lantern in the back garden along with Jadyn, Lisa, Moe, Nathan and Sensei. In this moment all seemed as it should be despite the cold. ** Soon they decided to go inside, just as Zephyr was about to go in right after Sensei she heard Peak make a strange noise in the distance. Sensei turned around and said " I don't remember the last time I heard him make that noise... " ***

For some reason, I imagined Peak making a noise MockingbirdInc makes. . . and that cracked me up. xD
" I don't want to leave you all though! " Said Zephyr desperately trying to think of way to convince Lisa she should stay. She was right though, they were outnumbered and it didn't look like they were trying to harm Zephyr, if they were after her the best thing she could do was to run away. That was only using logic that didn't care about how awful she felt about leaving Lisa, Nathan, Moe, Sensei Lloyd and even Jadyn to the mercy of the these warriors though. " Go! " Said Lisa. Zephyr reluctantly nodded and handed her spear to Lisa. " Then you take this, protect them and stay safe. " Then Zephyr ran, she ran through the garden and out into the open hillsides. The moon was hidden by the rain clouds, so it was dark and wet. She had the feeling she was being followed but she wasn't sure. Her run turned to a walk as she continued on and on into the night. The only things keeping her from turning back was the idea that she might be being followed and that she was somehow helping her friends by leaving. She went further than they had ever even hiked, she had past the training course hours ago and she just kept moving forward. To many times was she temped to pull out the travelers tea and go back to the dojo. Sometimes almost forgetting it had been attacked. She kept thinking about her friends, she'd never forgive herself if anything happened to any of them. She had tears in her eyes, but she couldn't tell if it was the cold air, the heat of running, or just the fact she was miserable. She then came to the end of the hills and saw a dark forest ahead. She went into the forest, it was so dark, however the storm clouds had cleared about an hour ago so she could see by what little moonlight came through the trees.

That's kinda the point. Oh yeah that soundtrack does fit quite well with this chapter.
Just a little further... She came to a clearing and fell over on to the wet ground, she didn't care though, she'd never traveled that far without resting. She wasn't sure how long she lay there, could have been minutes, could have been hours. Suddenly she heard footsteps, many footsteps. Although every part of her screamed not to she forced herself to stand and face whoever was coming. Shadows of the oncoming foes were all around her within moments, however she couldn't even force herself to take a step. She quickly put on her ninja hood, it was a long shot but maybe they wouldn't recognize her for some reason, she probably wouldn't get that lucky though. So they were after me, or they just already have everyone else... " What did you do to my friends? " Zephyr dared to ask as calmly as she could as the first of them emerged into the clearing. One of them whispered something to a near by warrior and the other shook his head. What could that mean? Zephyr got into a fighting stance, trying to be ready to fight to her end if she had to. She tried to think, what was the smartest thing to do here? She could use her element or spinjizu, but would that use up what little energy she had left? She was outnumbered and surrounded by warriors who were most likely armed. At best all she could do was outwit them and run. How? She had no idea. " What is it you want? " She asked. Zephyr wasn't sure if talking to them would help anything, but the least she could do was buy time for herself while she thought of something better. The one facing her spoke. " Alpha wants to meet you."
" Alpha? " Asked Zephyr. " Our leader, the head of the pack. " He replied. " Pack? Is that what you call your group of warriors? " Zephyr was trying to look for weak gapes in the group surrounding her, there was a warrior who seemed smaller than the others, perhaps Zephyr could get past her. " Yes, haven't you ever been told any of this? You have our symbols on your knife. " repiled the warrior. " Nope, just found out about you guys not that long ago, unless you're also someone else. " Zephyr didn't hear his response because in that moment she rushed for the small warrior and shoved her aside. Then she ran into the forest, they were all right behind her though. She reached another clearing, there was a big stick in the center, she picked it up and held it at the ready. Before she could do anything else though she felt something hit her hard on the upper part of her right arm. She glanced at her arm to see what it was and to her horror she saw that there was a dart! Her vision started blacking out and she fell to the ground. She slipped in and out of consciousness as the world was a blur around her. She felt like she was being carried at some point and then riding on something at another point. She couldn't tell the difference between visions in head and reality. Wolves, the night air, trees, her friends, hooded figures, foxes, Jadyn, the sky, Peak ,Sensei, the ninja, the forest in her dream, a cave,howling... At some point she was finally fully awake and aware of her surroundings. She was in a forest still, but the trees were fewer and smaller here. She was being carried by one of the warriors, she tried to fight him, though she still wasn't thinking straight. The warrior let her down on the ground, someone blindfolded her, and someone else tied her hands behind her back. Then they made her walk by leading her forward, all she could do was follow and find out what was going to happen.
She suddenly had the feeling that they had walked inside somewhere, the warriors were talking among themselves she couldn't focus in on their conversation though. They must have went through a door and then she heard many more voices talking curiously and excitedly. Zephyr figured they must not get prisoners very often. They lead her down one way and took a right, then another right then a little ways and then a left where they shoved her down on her knees. They unblindfolded her and untied her. She was in a dark stone room with a wooden bench and door, the door had bars at the top so someone could look in or out. The warriors shut the door and locked it, once they had left Zephyr rubbed her wrists which were sore from being tied and then slowly walked over to the door and looked out the widow. Other then stone wall on the other side of hallway the only thing to see was a tapestry with wolves depicted on it hanging on the wall. They were shown hunting a flame colored fox on a hilly landscape. Zephyr wondered what the tapestry ment, or if it ment anything at all. She then realized she still had her knife! Did they forget to check her for weapons? Why didn't they take it? Zephyr waited for awhile, but no warriors came by her cell. She sat down and tried to think of what the best way was, but as she did so she realized just how tired she was, and although she tried to fight it she eventually went to sleep on the cold cell floor...

" It's your time to show them you are worthy of being the next Alpha my son, do this and you will earn thier respect. " Said his father handing him a knife with the pack symbols on them. The other pack members looked on from a distance, his mother was standing by proudly. " Father, there are three of them though, you expect me to smash all three? " He asked showing as little emotion as possible. " I know you can can do it Zechariah, you've trained all your life for this. " His father told him reassuringly. " Fine, I'll go there, alone, and finish them all, once I'm done people won't know what happened to Gravis or his younger siblings, no one will dare take on the element of gravity again. " At his words the pack members standing by howled and shouted in excitement and approval. "They approve. " Said his mother. Zechariah nodded, he knew by now what he had to say to earn approval around here, even if his heart wasn't fully in it. Later Zechariah drove his motorcycle down the country road. He came up to a lone house, all the lights were out. Bugs and night animals made noises in summer night. The sky was clear, the moon was large and the stars were out. Normal people would probably enjoy themselves on a beautiful night like this. He thought as he parked his motorcycle in some bushes. However he was here to strike fear into this flawless unsuspecting night. Was a shame really.... What was he thinking? This was an honor, wasn't it? Zechariah slowly walked over to the house, careful not wake anyone inside. Luckily they had no pets from what their spies could tell, so it's not like a dog would give him anyway or anything. He noticed that a widow on the second floor was wide open. A deadly mistake for whoever opened it, but an easy way in for him. He climbed up the porch and on to it's roof, he then edged over to the widow and jumped from the porch roof to the widow grabbing it for dear life. He almost lost his grip but pulled himself inside to safety. He made a bit of a noise as he entered.
He froze when realized this was a bedroom. The walls were painted in bright colors and there was painting stuff and art supplies organized on shelves and in neat boxes. A painting easel with a canvas was on the left side of the room with a unfinished painting on it and on the walls there were finished paintings hanging up. He couldn't see the paintings very well, but from what he could see they were really good. He then turned his attention to the bed on the right side of the room, it was occupied by the the owner of the room, the artist of all these wonderful paintings. He crept up to the bed and looked down at the sleeping figure, it was a girl, who to his shook looked to be about his age. He'd expected Gravis' younger sister to be older, especially since Gravis himself was like forty or fifty after all, yet here his sister was looking to be about twenty like himself. He took a closer look, the girl had long blonde hair and pink pajamas, she was resting soundly. She looked so peaceful. He cursed at himself in his head. He shouldn't be paying attention to his target, that was the trick, make your prey seem as unalive and unhuman as possible. It was his duty to rid the world of people with power, and to do that they had to keep their numbers down, even if they had done nothing... This was nature, this was the balance, this was ok? Besides he had to do this to prove he would make a good future Alpha, the pack depended on him, their future was in his hands. Admittedly he wasn't the best suited to be Alpha, but there were very few others who could be the next Alpha, it had to be him, he was purest of blood. He took his knife out the pouch he kept it in, it was brand new and sharp, the symbols were green, his favorite color. He was prepared to do it, it would be quick, humane. He hovered the knife over her throat, however he made the terrible mistake of looking at her face. She had no idea she was so close to smashing, she had no idea she'd never wake up to finish her painting, or that her brothers would be smashed right after she was. Plus she was kind of pretty... He couldn't do it...

of course I have to have funny music stuck in my head during all this. . . xP
I'm still wondering what it is about Zephyr and her family that's so special to Alpha. . . ò,ô

Good, very good...
I think that's the first time I've used that emote.

Zephyr's dad is Alpha's son--unless present-day Alpha is a different guy--which would make Zephyr Alpha's-- OH MY--!!!
And then he meets Gravis's sister which means she's Zephyr's mom--
O.O >.< O.O Excuse me while my head spins as I try to take in everything
oh my bricks NFM, please give us MOAR.
Haha yes! You have no idea how long I've kept that to myself! I've been waiting so long, oh so long to drop that information. I must have thought it through at least a 100+ times. And now, here we are at last!
