Completing their climb across the Ice Mountains, Malgus and the amnesiac ice lion Lyrix venture into the Northern Outland Mountains (since they both create a trail of ice where they've walked, Malgus frequently covers up the trail by starting a small avalanche with his scythe, a routine that begins when they enter this region), unaware yet that Senix and Lycor are hot on their trail, coming here from the Arctic and the Iron Mountains, tracking Malgus and Lyrix, respectively. Following the scent trails of Lyrix and Malgus, Lycor and Senix inevitably cross paths in the mountains. The Imperial Knight draws his Fire Valious, taking a step back. Senix no longer has his ice spear, but he's still armed with his powers. Lycor: "An Ice Hunter! What are you doing here, sabertooth?" Senix: "Nothing for the Ice Hunters, I can assure you. I've pretty much renounced my position in my tribe, and I'm merely tracking the same people you are." Lycor: "People? Well, I have smelled an unusual foreign scent alongside the lion I'm after." Senix: "That is the scent of a mammoth. Your fugitive lion is clearly traveling with Malgus, the first wizard." Lycor: "The first wizard, Malgus... Yes, Leodus mentioned him to me. He learned magic from Malgus' teachings. Why is Malgus here, with Lyrix?" Senix: "Malgus is trying to become the Elemental Wizard. There's an ancient prophecy, which states that a being will gain the powers of both fire and ice, becoming the most powerful magic user in Chima. There is a Phoenix armor in these mountains that will allow Malgus, if he reforges and dons it, to gain the power of fire in addition to his ice powers, and he'll be strong enough to wreck havoc on the fire and ice tribes alike." Lycor: "Leodus mentioned that prophecy to me before, but how do I know you're not just trying to get the Phoenix armor yourself, so you can become the Elemental Wizard?" Senix: "Because I was that one who destroyed the armor here, to prevent Malgus from finding it. I did tell the other sabertoothes about this; Malgus must've had this Lyrix person steal our map for him. As I said though, I am no longer affiliated with the Sabertooth Tribe, because it seems like I'm the only sabertooth who cares about this! Since the people we're after are together, and you know of the danger the prophecy of the Elemental Wizard represents, perhaps we could team up to stop them?" Lycor: "I'll be keeping a close eye on you, Ice Hunter, but yes, you're right." The two unlikely allies travel together, continuing their northeast tracking of Malgus and Lyrix's scents. Little does Lycor know, someone followed him out of the Iron Mountains, and is now hunting for him. Senix and Lycor manage to catch up to Malgus and Lyrix, as the latter two get close to the site of the Fire Wing Harness's pieces. The destruction of the Fire Wing Harness had created a small pit of lava, filling a tight space between a few close mountain peaks. It is there where one team confronts the other. Lycor: "Lyrix, is that you? You've... embraced the ice. Both you and your master must be stopped, and you, Lyrix, must face punishment for your crimes against the Lions, and against me!" Lyrix: "Wha— Who are you, and what are you talking about? Who's Lyrix? My name is Laxor." Senix' hands crackle with yellow lightning, and Lycor plugs fire chi into his bulky white and yellow Imperial Knight armor. Malgus: "Senix. I thought my son and the Tigers had taken care of you. Your vile plan will not come to pass, even with the help of this Imperial!" The two wizards blast at each other with lightning, as the lion and ice lion battle, Lyrix using a small ice scythe Malgus had given to him. Meanwhile, Skaulus Rax, scouting ahead in a troop transport Stinger-copter, flying high above the mountains, sees the battle. Skaulus: "It looks like three Ice Hunters, and an Imperial Knight! We can't let the Empire of Balance chart or claim any of this land, that which will be ours!" The Stinger-copter swoops down low, blasting its fire chi lasers at the four fighters on the elevated clearing. The fire laser blasts act as warning shots, landing precisely between the fighters and scattering them through the mountains. Malgus is the first to get up, angrily striking the Stinger-copter with a focused energy storm. The helicopter is blasted out of the air, sent spiraling down into the mountains nearby. Spider pilot: "We're going down!" Skaulus: "No! What sort of witchcraft is this—?!" The spinning helicopter crashes roughly into the mountains, with a small explosion that doesn't appear to destroy the whole craft.

The spinning helicopter crashes roughly into the mountains, with a small explosion that doesn't appear to destroy the whole craft. Senix regains his footing, and launches a stream of energy lightning from his hands at Malgus. Malgus meets the lightning with his own, and the two wizards are locked in a standoff. Lycor, after regaining his footing farther down the mountain and picking up his Fire Valious, is suddenly spoken to by Leodus' disembodied voice. Leodus: "Lycor, stop Senix."
Lycor: "What—? Leodus, is that you?? But if you're communicating with me now, that means you're..." Leodus "My spirit is only temporarily out of my body. I need to tell you what to do now. Your journey into these mountains was destiny, and not for the reason you think."
Leodus tells Lycor about Senix' true identity and plan. Senix: "So this it, Malgus. Just two old, injured wizards locked in a perpetual magic battle in these desolate wastelands." Malgus: "You can't stop my destiny! I will claim this Fire Wing Harness and become the Elemental Wizard, weather there is to be another Great Illumination or not!" Senix: "I can't let you do— AAAAAGGHH!!!" Senix's stream of magic is cut off as his minifigure is stabbed from behind by Lycor's Fire Valious. Malgus immediately runs up the mountain to get to the pieces of the harness, as Senix falls to his hands and knees. Senix gasps: "No—! Why... did you... do that, you— fool?!" Lycor: "Because I learned the truth. Your plans for domination are at an end, Tenebrae. I stop your threat now, just as my ancestor, Lyron, stopped you 992 years ago!" Senix gets up shakily and runs away, up the mountain. He stumbles into the area above the lava pit. Leodus "It's over, Senix. It was Lycor's destiny to put an end to Tenebrae. I foresaw it; that's why I agreed for him to become an Imperial Knight. Now, it's finally over, Tenebrae. You have not the resources here for another soul transfer. May you rest in piece, at last." Senix breathes heavily as he listens to Leodus' voice, but then closes his eyes and lets himself fall backward into the lava pit, with a sizzling splash.

Senix breathes heavily as he listens to Leodus' voice, but then closes his eyes and lets himself fall backward into the lava pit, with a sizzling splash. ———————————————————————— Near the lava pit, Malgus has levitated all the pieces of the shattered Fire Wing Harness around him, as the wizard recites an enchantment, his long white beard blowing in the wind. Malgus: "Now, Fire Wing Harness! Let your pieces be morphed as they reforge, to fit your destined wearer, the Elemental Wizard!" The pieces cling onto Malgus as they magically forge themselves onto him. When the transformation is complete, Malgus now has two large golden shoulder pads replacing his samurai-like shoulder pads, a rectangular golden plate on his back that spawns the wings themselves, and a large portion of the main harness, square in the center of his chest, on top of his armor. Malgus is now the embodiment of both elements combined; while one of his new wings is a big-fig sized Fire Wing, the other is a skeletal wing of the same size, made of translucent blue ice, blazing fire filling the space between the bones, like feathers. Exactly 50% of Malgus' translucent blue ice bones are now translucent red, including the entirety of the skeletal hand. Streaks of red and blue energy swirl around him at all times, and his eyes are now a blazing, cold purple. His weapons remain unchanged, except for his scythe, which is now translucent red and fired up. Malgus: "I have achieved perfect Balance. It's only fitting that the first wizard of Chima is the one to reach the absolute. Now that Senix is taken care of, time to enact revenge on the others that have done me wrong..." Malgus growls as he looks across the mountains, at the smoke from the crashed Stinger-copter. He unfolds his wings, and flies to the site. Skaulus Rax stumbles out of the wreckage, coughing. He looks up, and begins taking steps back when Malgus lands in front of him, walking toward the Spider King with his blazing scythe. Skaulus: "Wait! I'm sorry I shot at you four! I didn't... I didn't know the... context. I just thought... you would colonize this place, that which I want for my people—" Malgus: "I have no interest in claiming this place. What gives you the right to attack a man in any way, when you don't know the context behind his words and actions?! Repulsive and petty! The Great Elemental Wizard shall purge Chima of people like you!" Skaulus: "Wait, ple–!" Malgus strikes down the king multiple times with his fiery scythe, until the minifigure has become but a pile of ash. Malgus unfurls his wings, and flies off, out of the Wastelands.

Malgus unfurls his wings, and flies off, out of the Wastelands. ———————————————————————— Lycor jogs through a canyon in the mountains, following the long trail of snow that marks everywhere Lyrix has stepped. Scorponok: "LYCOR!" The green six-legged scorpion jumps down from the shadows in front of Lycor, his red and gold Phoenix armor shining in the sun, along with his sizzling red scythe. Lycor: "Scorponok?!" Scorponok: "I tracked you out from the Iron Mountains. It's a good thing I intercepted you. Now, traitor, you will pay for what you did to my blood brother, Scorpix!" Scorponok jumps at Lycor, striking at him, but Scorponok's scythe merely dents one of the bulky white shoulder pads of Lycor's Imperial Knight armor. Lycor parries Scorponok's next few strikes with his Fire Valious sword, and the two fire chi powered fighters duel in the valley. Lycor: "The duel was Scorpix's idea! One of us had to be struck down in order to ensure peace between the Lion and Scorpion tribes!" Scorponok draws one of Scorpix' gold and green (now gold and red) royal Scorpion swords, having recovered it in the Iron Mountains. Lycor fights faster in order to dodge and parry the strikes from Scorponok's scythe and sword. Scorponok: "Peace?! The Lions never did anything for my species, except the ones that were under your command at the glacier! You were our ally within the Lion Tribe, our friend! After you helped to evacuate my people from the Scorpion Cavern Castle, told us the location of Prince Scorpio after he'd escaped from your tribe, and helped free my people from the Ultimate Glacier, your betrayal shocked and disgusted me! After avenging Scorpix, I'll tell the other scorpions that it was you who killed our leader! Then there won't be peace between our tribes!" Lycor: "I... can't let you do that, Scorponok... because then Scorpix' sacrifice will have been in vain, and neither of us want that!" Lycor, more determined now, fights harder, managing to strike both of Scorponok's weapons out of his hands. Lycor: "I'm sorry it had to come to this, Scorponok, but I can't allow you to return to the south and tell the scorpions what you plan to tell them!" Lycor slashes across with his Fire Valious. Scorponok screams as he falls down. Lycor turns and leaves, continuing to follow Lyrix's trail, which has turned south. Scorponok, now blind, gets up with a grunt, beginning to wander through the Wastelands.

Scorpia's Stinger-copter is blasted off-course by, oddly enough, another Stinger-copter, so it makes a rough landing in the Northern Outland Mountains rather than the inland. Scorpia and Scorpio are followed to the ground by several Stinger-copters, and the pilots capture the nobles. Scorpia: "What is the meaning of this?! The scorpions take the captured Scorpia and Scorpio to a small hangar they've built in the side of a mountain, where fifty Stinger-Copters are stored. Scorpion: "Allow us to introduce you to our King." Scorm marches out from the shadowy back of the hangar, flanked by armed scorpions. Instead of his original armor, Scorm now wears the suit red and gold Phoenix armor identical to everyone else here. Scorm: "Ha! Well well, if it isn't—" Scorpio: "NO! GOD, NO GOD, PLEASE NO!" Scorpia: "Incorrect terminology, Scorm. You've long since been disowned from this family. What's all this about?" Scorm: "Heh, well after Freeman and Scrin were out of the picture and I was captured by the Spiders, Spalyx Vance captured me for the Forgotten. These are the fifty scorpion pilots who bombed the Purple City, for our rightful revenge against the Icebears. After finding out their true King lived, they broke me out of the Forgotten facility where I was being held. They are the True Scorpions, loyal to my cause. They will help me take back the Scorpion Tribe, once we've assassinated Maximus, Fen, and their Praetors! But first, now is a good time to tie up other loose ends." Another chained prisoner is brought forward. Scorpio: "Freeman?!" Scorm: "Our silent doctor here returned to Chima recently, because the True Scorpions helped me locate where he ended up. He'd be difficult to capture normally, but a fight in an alternate dimension must be physically draining." *OOC: Like if you get the reference.

Scorpia: "No, you can't! Please!" The gleam in Scorm's eyes starts to falter as his wife continues trying to persuade him not to execute his son. Scorpion: "Your Highness? Whenever you're ready to give the order—" Scorm: "Wait! Uh, hold on... maybe..." The hangar suddenly rocks. Scorm: "What the—?!" One of the lined up scorpions suddenly turns his sights from Scorden and Scorpio, quickly blasting the other lined up executioners, before whipping out a Republic badge. Republic spy: "Scorm, you are under arrest, in the name of the Scorpion Tribe." Scorm: "What—?!" Calloran Fen's strike team storms the open hangar, focusing their fire on the parked Stinger-Copters with their own Stinger-Copters, as Republic troops take down Scorm's scorpions. Scorm grabs a sword and powers up with fire chi, angrily launching himself at the invaders. As the battle rages through the hangar, Scorpia grabs a rolling orb of fire chi and a sword, melting down the chains around Scorden and Scorpio. Scorpia: "Enough of this! Enough of all of this! Let's get out of here, and get away from all these scorpions!" Scorpio says between breaths as he runs through the hangar with her: "After... careful consideration, I would have to... agree." Scorpia and Scorpio escape from the hangar, running away into the mountains.

I thought the Republic of the Claw meant to let my son go!" Scorpion: "We're not the Republic of the Claw. We're the True Scorpions!" Scorpio: "The... true scorpions??" The scorpions take the captured Scorpia and Scorpio to a small hangar they've built in the side of a mountain, where fifty Stinger-Copters are stored. GOD, NO GOD, PLEASE NO!" Scorm: "At least let me finish my—" Scorpio: "NO! NO! NOOOOOOOO—!"* Scorm slaps Scorpio in the mandible. Scorm: "Shut up, impetuous boy. You've done well to intercept my family, True Scorpions!" Scorpia: "Incorrect terminology, Scorm. Scorden and Scorpio are put against the wall, with a row of scorpions preparing their fire chi blasters. Scorm: "Now, to avenge myself! I will destroy the two people who destroyed me!" Scorpia and Scorpio escape from the hangar, running away into the mountains. The Lion Air Force arrives, bombing the hangar and causing it to partially cave-in. Lions jump into the fray, overwhelming and capturing Scorm as the scorpions are distracted fighting each other and recovering from the blasts. Spalyx flies in with her Fire Wings, shaking the half-conscious Scorden awake. Spalyx: "C'mon doc, let's go!" Scorden ignites his own Fire Wings, flying away with Spalyx. The Lions load the chained and snarling Scorm onto a twinblade, flying away as what remains of the hangar, its supports destroyed, crumbles. The scorpions from the Republic/main tribe narrowly make it out, blasting the remaining True Scorpions back into the hangar with a burst of fire as the hangar falls and crashes between the mountains. Republic spy: "Well, this didn't entirely work... Let's get back to Scorm City. Unlike those lions, our helicopters are running out of fire chi."

The J -Forgotten Forces in this area inspect the burnt out wreckage of the hangar-like building, looking for any survivors or anything to loot... they sure missed the escape of their new leaders now...- The J— — — -It’s been a long while, soon coming back to the boarder between this land and Outlands Proper, come two lonely Scorpions, their clothes looked very worn and dirty, chips of missing metal in their armor they wore. The hints of Gold and Bronze for the Younger Scorpion and the Platniums and Diamond materials on the Female older scorpion now don’t shine in the broad sunlight.- -the two lonesome arachnids slowly trek back in a direction to the New Scorpion HQ, hopefully someone finds them and takes them in...-

After being scattered across Chima for so long, the Stinger Brotherhood begins to regroup. A small number of scorpion "brothers and sisters" start to converge in the Wastelands, following the rumor that their leader Scorponok had gone here.

Though the Stinger Brotherhood isn't ready to assist in a fight like the Battle of Lion City yet, they continue building up their forces, and constructing Scorpix City. They now have quite a sizable air force, as workers swap out continuously to keep the 24/7 construction going.

As they stand at attention, Eliaphet gently places her palm on Byrum's knuckles, silently warning him to hold back his increasing anger—unaware of the reason behind his fury.
Smiling canines and a sinister laugh follow. "You did a fine job Ryd. Now allow me to provide mine own offer." The Figure drags a large, wriggling pouch from behind the rock he had been standing on. Setting it in front of them, claws covered in unkept fur tear it open and falling out with a barrel roll is a frightened, helpless Beaver. "Found him in the middle of a Croc Swamp. He'd pay a hefty ransom, ey?"
Surprised by this sudden change in decorum, Ryd quickly regains composure, his voice cracking slightly. "Uh-um, yes, well, it would. However, you know we aren't into that sort of thing, mate."
The Figure crosses his arms and leans back. "You won't, but your new associates might."
Is this the same wolf that was at the Minor Tribes headquarters talking to Byrum?

IC: *The Figure hears a scoff from the shadows.* "Is this all? Petty kidnapping and petty ransom? There's not more reason than that to all this stealth? I'll watch this time, but I warn you not to kidnap a member of our tribe again."
