Karl Lykos can be considered a hero/good guy character, though Sauron is considered a villain because he's a bit power-crazy. Because of Sauron's want for power, Karl tries to prevent use of his power and once had it removed for a time.
To clarify, I believe Sauron's 'energy absorption' is exclusive to mutant energy (mutant power provided by the 'X gene' in homo-sapien-superior) similar to that of Rogue's, though he does not then adopt that person's power.

Sauron also has several other powers that Karl Lykos does not have including that of some form of hypnosis (delivered on eye contact) that can cause one to see illusions or to feel vertigo.

Are there any rules updates we want to go through? Talking about characters all the time is kinda boring...
