So is this holiday really about celebrating the resurrection of Christ, or is it more of a pagan day celebrating spring?
It depends on who you are, it combines ideas from both of them. For me, it just means seeing family and eating jelly beans.
If you are an atheist why are you trying to criticize what I'm saying? Atheists don't really care about pagan roots to things...do they? And family and jelly beans is all many people think Easter to be..and nowadays it really is all about candy.

I think that varies among individual atheists. We're people too, you know.
I still find religion interesting, especially older religions. I was just answering your question about whether Easter was Christian or Pagan (it's both). Sorry if it sounded like criticism. My comment about jelly beans was simply to show that today, it really isn't Christian or Pagan, but a pretty meaningless (due to commercialism, not due to its orginal purpose) commercial holiday that for most people, is just to celebrate the coming of spring.

{JAMMERS! -Stephanie- ONLY!}I consider myself an atheist, actually.
I just typically like every post I reply to even if I don't necessarily agree with the post I'm replying to. So if you get likes on things that seem a little weird, it's just me being weird.
Not much development, really. Somebody wrote a short story about her, but that just covers a small mission. I think there's a guy in that I can use as a sidekick, and she's got a ship! Very exciting!
Yes, it definitely could be. I'll see if I can find the short story online and read it. Anything in particular you would like ideas on? Setting, characters, etc?
I was thinking of the plot....what if Bazine is hired by the First Order to....steal something...or assassinate someone?

lol okay. I personally believe she is a Skywalker, Solo is not beyond possibility, though. Daisy Ridley said she thought Rey's identity very obvious..and yes, Skywalker is plainly obvious. It would be pretty cool.
Yah. I don't think Finn is anybody..some people go a little crazy with theories.
I have a couple theories..he could be Plagueis...or, he could be Vader's apprentice in Rogue One. Now THAT would be cool.
Yah, it would probably be tacky...but I really wouldn't be surprised.
I'm still not fond of the idea... It's TOO obvious to me. If you're teasing a reveal for two years in between films, just to make it the obvious one, it'd be disappointing. I DEFINITLELY do not want Rey Kenobi, though.
Mhm. Plus it'd be too coincidental, and kinda take away from the character a bit, IMO, if he discovered his family's identity. One of his most interesting aspects is that he was taken from them and never got to know them. Finn's a really underrated character, too... Everyone was talking about Kylo and Rey after TFA, but Finn's really cool.
Oh, you mean the kneeling down guy... It's possible, but I doubt it. According to a reliable source, Snoke is around 8 or 9 feet tall, which would rule out a human. Also, we know he's been active in the Force for a very long time, which also makes me think he's not human. I really, really like the idea of Plagueis, but I think they confirmed its not him.
I honestly would... I don't foresee Han coming back. I think that was Ford's last SW film.
Daisy Ridley did say that she thought Rey's identity was very obvious. She didn't know there was any mystery about it. Rey Kenobi has no evidence, and there are so many branches to it. Some think he married Duchess Satine, had Sabine Wren (but I thought she was of the house of Pre Visla) and she married Ezra and had Rey.
Yeah, Finn is not the son of Han Solo contrary to what I've heard. And he is awesome...a stormtrooper able to handle Kylo well in a duel.
Eh, nobody knows Snoke's size. I think Plagueis is possible...but..I thought it was confirmed Snoke was human. I heard somewhere a while back that before Snoke got his facial scars he was handsome.
Thing is he always did get brought back..so I dunno. He was supposedly gone in Empire Strikes Back, but they brought him back. Ford wanted "Those teddy bear things" to kill him in ROTJ.
I think the question is, though, are those things really illegal for them. If they're no longer part of the Republic, then they don't have to follow Republic law. That's like expecting France to follow American law. That's true. I believe slavery was illegal in the Old Republic, but they could've enforced it better.
Oh.
More like expecting America to follow Britain's laws, because we broke off of Britain to become our own country.
The Old Republic had a lot of flaws.
True, I was just saying that they're not the same country and aren't required to follow the same laws as that of another.
Oh, yeah, it had lasted a thousand years, so it was bound to become flawed and a bit bloated. What existed before the Republic?
I hope so, too... I don't think she'll end up being a clone of anyone, though, because no one else fits her description, plus Gwendoline Christie is like 6 feet 3 inches tall, and there really isn't any other women in Star Wars that height. I was mostly referring to her reputation with the fans. Now she's kind of known for being that Stormtrooper commander who lowered the shield of Starkiller Base because she was a coward and then was dumped in the trash.
I understood that reference.
As would I! But I still think that the more likely possibility is in a cartoon, as they did with Maul. It's probably a bit too big of a thing for a comic or video game.
Eh, a lot of it will, anyway. What do you think the chances we see Jabba are?
Oh. Well, maybe it's just blue because of the Bantha digestive system?
What do you think we'll learn about Snoke?
Yeah, you're probably right. I think a cyborg would be a possibility though.
I assumed so.
WHEN (not if) Disney gets around to making a Netflix live-action Star Wars show, I think a show about Boba Fett and other bounty hunters would be a good choice.
Pretty high, actually. Maybe we'll see exactly why Jabba got mad at him.
I actually don't want to have a serious discussion about blue milk. I was just playing off of the "Why is the sky blue?" question.
I think that we'll learn his true identity, if he is indeed anyone but Snoke, and I think we'll see a bit of him seducing Kylo to the Dark Side in Rey's visions. Maybe even his base of operations, which I BELIEVE is a giant starship which is mobile.
So do I. I actually hope so. It'd set her apart from the other stormtroopers beyond just the chrome armor.
You assumed right.
Ooh, if they actually do that I'd subscribe to Netflix SO fast. I hope Amazon, though, because I already have that. There was a rumor going around awhile back that they'd be making an anthology film about Boba and a gang of bounty hunters doing something or another, but I don't know how accurate it is.
I doubt that... It'd be stretching it, anyway. That was supposed to happen shortly before ANH, and I think there wouldn't be a big enough gap in which Alden Ehrenreich (however you spell it) could realistically transform into Harrison Ford.
I'm pretty much exactly the same on all those counts, except I don't have any monster movie ideas. I'd love to hear yours sometime, or I'll read it if you decide to translate it to a story for the LMBs.
{JAMMERS! -BrianG2402- ONLY!}That's a cool idea... I'm guessing you probably don't want me to take the easy way out and say 'Jango Fett.' So, maybe some Jedi that fell in battle, which the Kaminoans decided to clone, as they wanted to see what would happen with a force sensitive subject? Or maybe, and this might just be because I love the character and he's really underused, Count Dooku? Maybe a radical Rebel group somehow acquired his remains after the battle over Coruscant at the end of the Clone Wars and cloned it from them in an attempt to make someone who could take on the Empire after the fall of the Jedi.
I don't think a monster movie story really relates to LEGO, but if I get around to really writing one, I'll share it with you somehow.
{JAMMERS! -Ant-Maniac- ONLY!}Oh, Dooku is a good idea. I had been tossing around Qui-Gon and Mace Windu but that is probably better. It would be less obvious, for one thing, considering we never saw a young Dooku. And your origin story sounds dang cool, that sounds like something Saw Gerrera would do! I mean, he knew about Dooku, maybe he found his remains and cloned him in secret. Maube not Kaminoans though, because they are called "the best cloners in the galaxy" which implies that there are others. Good ideas!
{JAMMERS! -BrianG2402- ONLY!} Windu and Jinn would actually be really cool as well. I just didn't suggest Windu, because I had another character who is a Coruscant gang-leader whose claim-to-fame of sorts was that he'd acquired Mace's lightsaber. Whatever you think is best though! Cool beans! Glad you like the idea. Tweak it as much as you want to fit what your story needs.
Ay. The human scenes I forget totally, which is probably because they were uninteresting, but the fight scenes are always fun in these films. Which Kaiju film had the best fight, would you say?
That depends on what you look for in a fight. If you want a ton of monsters duking it out, I'd say Destroy All Monsters. If you want a hilarious cheesy fight with ridiculous fighting movies, go see Godzilla vs. Megalon. If you want something that is genuinely cool and pretty epic, I'd recommend Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah.
But Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), not to be confused with Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992) is probably the best Godzilla movie besides the original and Gareth Edwards'. It's fun, with an actually interesting human plot, and some dang cool monster scenes.
Ooh, I'm going to have to try and find Destroy All Monsters. I also need to see the King Ghidorah one... He's pretty much THE classic Godzilla opponent, and I still haven't seen any of the films with him in it.
I saw one of the Mothra ones... Not sure which it was. It was interesting, but weird. These two fairy people were singing to awaken a Mothra to go and fight for them. How is the 1992 one?
