I played the free version for a bit. But I was much too cheap to actually spend money, so I quickly abandoned it. I think I was paradox though
That's how most people felt I think:(. It was definitely worth the money in my opinion. I played $40 + $10 a month to play:P. I played every faction, but my favorite was Venture League for it's stud magnet and the fact that my favorite valiant was the Rutcarver:D! Plus it was my original faction:).

Whenever I think of LEGO Universe the first thing I think of is one friend: Flamrbidge. Haven't seen him in YEARS:(. He was literally one of the best friends I ever had, and was an AMAZING builder. Yeah, I believe like half them made it into the LU property Hall of Fame, and I know that Ode to Overbuild and the aircraft carrier won official LU contests:O! They were better in the game though as you could actually walk around in them.

For those of you that played, what was your first rare? I remember, my first was Green Parrot from admirals in Gnarled Forest. It was worth 10,000 at the time since the game was new and nobody had lots of plastic. I ended up just giving it to my friend who really wanted it though:P. At the end of LU parrots were worth like at least 100,000, shows how much prices changed. I had over a million plastic, I believe I was the first user to crack a million:O! I was a ruthless trader, I think that's why everybody hated me:P.

Um, everything. The only similar thing is you can brick build and how the minifigures move around. LEGO Universe was an MMO, so there were TONS of users you could play and trade with. There was so much more to do. You could fight enemies, build on properties, race, play minigames, and chat with other players. I would do anything to get it back, hence why I am working on C++ instead of Java now:P.

I don't think I ever found a rare. Or at least I didn't realise it, if I did. I was much younger then and did not look much into these stuff. Though I don't being F2P would help (except for a month I played with the disc).
