I didn't realize that the RP was strict about the canon species. And is the last part referring to the flintlock pistol?...
I did think hard...
It's not a matter of strict, it's a matter of sense. Besides, from what I can see, nothing shows that a 'Man o war' is based off of an animal by the title alone.
Wait ok, what? I am really confused... on the backstory,
Basically everything written in past tense are things that occurred in the original RP back on the LMBs. Are you familiar with the ontological power of the Great Illumination? It can alter reality and rewrite history, and I'm applying the theory that it was used to reset the world of Chima more than once. No-one IC would know, however, because it's essentially a giant reset button for when things get too dire in the world. It's all pretty much an homage to the old RP, as well as a method for me to keep Jai's mannerisms the same as back then.
So essentially, he was once an all-powerful warlord however many resets ago, and now he's woken up in this entirely new (to him, at least) Chima with none of his powers and status, but all the memories of having them.
Well I'm a massive Chima nerd, but I'm pretty sure the Great Illumination doesn't have reality-resetting powers. Rather, it resets the animals and nature to the way they're meant to be (Ice Hunters cured, Phoenix back to the sun, etc), but the inhabitants of Chima retain their memories and don't switch to a reincarnated life.
You seem to interpret the Great Illumination as a reality reset, and I get where you're coming from, but it's more like a cure for every disease (from both a literal and metaphorical sense) and an immediate redemption for all "evil" beings in the realm.
Oh well, I'll wait for now. How long do you think it will take before the West Sea antagonists are introduced? Around 3-4 months, since the Ice v. Fire War is just starting?
Probably something like that, yes. We haven't decided on all the details of Fire vs Ice yet, so I'm not sure how long it will be until the Great Illumination, after which the West Sea antagonists will be introduced.
I was thinking Fire Vs Ice would last all year, with the Great Illumination happening in December, but now I'm starting to think that would be way too long.
I'm quite sure I don't need to have FAC approval that Maulisa sucks at magic
I put the magic through FAC, and Maulryene is the first witch. Simple. She's the first, and the strongest.
I was just pointing out every instance of magic I saw.
Magic isn't canon in Chima, so it's easy to be skeptical. But considering you have an issue with Jai's backstory (and him making his own bullets), and yet you managed to get a magic of all things approved... something tells me you're just really worried TC's going to show up.
Well, magic technically is canon in Chima, but to less of an extent. Chi itself being the prime example of magic and science blended together (water/H2O, infused with magic Illumination energy).

Unless you have a citation, it's pretty much up to interpretation. The old LMB Chima RP used its power to reset the RP world for a fresh start, and I believe everyone was in agreement that it could do so.

Chi is a magical substance, and we've seen a few of the things it can do. As you say, it's a magical substance because of the Illumination magic (I wouldn't say science is involved, just nature). However, spells and tomes and the like, the kind of magics that witches generally use in fiction, are absolutely not canon. I'm totally ok with it being here, but it's definitely fanon stuff.

In Freeman and co’s case to the bolded, no. I do this for story-purposes!

Magic.. Is canon? I'm pretty sure it is, anyways. Chi is a magical substance. The Great Illumination.
Of course I'm worried about that, because I know you Nick.

I was just talking about the TV show Illumination.

Well I guess someone could turn evil after the Illumination if s/he went insane or something.

Spells, tomes, etc. are not canon. The only magic we've seen in Chima is the Chi and the Illumination.

Name: The Eye
Bio: An otherworldly entity, here to watch, learn, and hunt. This is a NIC (non-interference character), meaning it is here strictly for story purposes and will not fight anyone here unless it is forced to defend itself. Considering there isn't much here that could threaten it, that situation is highly unlikely to ever occur. It can be interacted with, however, and if you really, really wanted to, you could try fighting it for fun. Except it won't be fun, and death is almost certainly guaranteed, so don't do that.
