Even while Lyrix thanks Lycor for this, there are already murmurs, especially among the non-lions in the room, that the Lion King only pardoned Lyrix because he now needs him for the Illumination. Nevertheless, Bliston flies down to Lycor, speaking to him next to the nearly empty chi pool.
Bliston: "I apologize for not being fast enough to stop the Sabertooths from draining the chi pool, or to stop their leader from getting out alive."
Lycor: "It's quite alright. I can't thank you enough for your assistance here, King Bliston. It's seems King Finglor will always run and hide, but the Hunters will lose their advantage of ice powers once we enact a Great Illumination. Of course, as I learned recently, a complete Great Illumination would reset the universe."
There is a stunned silence in the room, as the many voices of the conversing Lions, Scorpions and Bats cease.
Lycor addresses the room at large: "That is why it's imperative that we enact a partial Illumination with eight Harnesses, like the last one. The Harness-bearers can decide what shape the very fabric of the universe will take when they initiate the Illumination, as long as it's a partial one. I'll explain my perfect plan for the Illumination once we've found the remaining Fire Wings and gathered all the Harness-bearers. For now, though, we must prepare for an immediate counterattack against Galvanor. He needs to be stopped on all fronts, and this Second Chima Civil War needs to end in order for us to be united in our cause of finding the Fire Wings and stopping the Ice Hunters."
Bliston: "I think we can all agree to that. It's become clear to me that Galvanor wants to throw as many of us as he can at the Rays just to attain his revenge, no matter how many of our lives it costs. He needs to be taken down before he can do more damage. I stayed neutral for a long time, but now I realize my place is here, with the Alliance."
Bliston and Lycor shake hands, as the Bats officially join the Chima Alliance.
Sirius: "The Scorpions, on the other hand, are still a part of Unichi, but rest assured we're on the same page as the Chima Alliance. In fact, we've been joining our forces together, along with the Stinger Brotherhood, and the Phoenix, who've reportedly come to their senses and defected from Primordium, to launch an assault to finally reclaim Crystal Crater. This will also keep most of the Hunters occupied, and hold them off while you find the Fire Wings."
Lycor: "The Phoenix have defected from Primordium? That's excellent news; they must've relinquished the 'fire chi tax' as well, then."
Bliston: "The Lions and Bats will ready for an attack on Eagle Spire to destroy what's left of Primordium, and then we'll join you in the east, assuming we're not too battered afterward."
Lycor and Sirius nod.
Sirius: "Sounds like a plan. Farewell, and good luck, Chima Alliance."
The scorpions begin to depart from the castle, as the Lions and Bats recover and prepare for their crusade.
Even as construction teams get to work fixing the damage in the castle and city, the Lion and Bat armies rebuild in their own right, preparing for a vengeful assault on Eagle Spire. The remaining Alliance Bears (those who didn't follow Wotjek in merging with the Forgotten), fix their mechs out in the field and enter the city to plan the attack with the Lions and Bats.
Due to their long inactivity and luckiness in not being attacked during the Fire-Ice Wars, the Bears have a large supply of unused fire chi, which they share with their allies, and the Chima Alliance forces refuel.
***
In a bedroom in the Lion Castle...
Lyrix: "So, you said there's another Royal Valious up here? I see you're carrying one, now that you're the King."
Lycor: "Yes, this spare one was taken here after King Lionel's disappearance."
Lyrix: "Good, I can't wait to see the look on Galvanor's face when two of Chima's most powerful sword come upon him at once! Hah! How easy it'll be, to cut him down--"
Lycor draws his own Valious, and Lyrix turns too late to avoid being hit across the head with the blunt side of the wide sword, knocking him unconscious instantly. Lycor sheathes his Royal Valious, and hoists Lyrix up, laying him on the bed (luckily, the Fire Wings themselves are still retracted, preventing the bed from being caught ablaze).
Lycor: "Sorry Lyrix, but you won't be participating in this battle. I know you, and I know what you're going to try to do. Believe me, I want to avenge my uncle, your father, as much as you do... but for now, Galvanor must be brought in alive. It's not a question: his exclusive knowledge of the Manta Ray Empire could be imperative to standing a chance against them if the Empire does attack, and at this point, I think it's only a matter of time until they do."
The Lion King walks to the door, looking back at the unconscious Harness-bearer.
Lycor: "That's also why we need to initiate a Great Illumination to deal with the Ice Hunters' threat as soon as we can. That is when you'll play your part to save Chima. Although, to quote you, Lyrix, how easy it would be to pry that Harness from you while you're unconscious, but alas... I, unlike you, am not destined to wear a Fire Wing Harness. And we've no time to find another replacement to wear that Harness, when we've already got five more Harnesses and five more Harness bearers to find. I can only hope that you'll agree to my plan for a Great Illumination, cousin, otherwise... otherwise I'll have to go to desperate measures to convince you. I know you can't hear me right now, but... I'm being genuine when I say I truly hope it doesn't come to that. It's just that the fate of the world rests on this plan. Farewell for now."
After planning the attack on Eagle Spire with Bliston and the leader of the Bear forces here, Lycor goes to the castle garage as the Chima Alliance armies continue preparing. The Lion King looks up at the behemoth being completed: the final and definitive incarnation of Lycor's signature Mech-Tank, and the most viscous, intimidating, and powerful looking one yet. Slightly larger than the average Chima mech, the towering gold and red machine has a simultaneously bulky and lean form, with huge, heavily armored limbs, and the upper and lower body being connected via a flexible dark gray spine looking like it came straight off of a skeleton despite being metallic, and four strong and equally flexible pistons. Two huge wheels with thick black tires rest on either shoulder for the transformation, with the other two wheels being the knees of the mech in robot mode. The forearms are layered with bulky gold armor, and the five fingers on each huge hand end with literal knives; long, jagged, yet elegantly curved daggers almost reaching the floor even when the mech is standing straight up. The feet's claws have a similar appearance, but with much smaller knives, and the the feet are mostly comprised of tank parts for the transformation, with chi rocket boosters/exhaust ports built into them, and folded beneath armoring in robot mode. Curved golden knee armor on the lower legs stretches up to protect each of the tires on the knees.
The head of the mech, on a swivel to allow 360 degree rotation, contains both a heavily armored cockpit behind the long, narrow eyes (which have a red hue even when not powered by fire chi), and three converging fire chi flamethrowers inside the mouth: to breathe fire unto the enemy, of course. Many crimson spikes jut out from the back of the head, giving the appearance of an oddly familiar red mane, but each spike has small attachment points on it, to keep the head connected to "folded" parts of the mech and in the right position in tank mode. Three rows of cold, sharp white teeth line both the upper and lower mouth, making the inside of the square mouth look more like a shark than a lion. The first row of teeth is fully visible even when the mouth is "closed", making the mech look as though it's grimacing and gritting its teeth.
Lycor: "Is the Lio Nemesis finally ready, old friend?"
Lion mechanic: "Yes, Your Majesty. Galvanor's attack on the city set us back a bit, but I told the boys to work double time after Primordium retreated."
Lycor: "You continued your work even while our battle with the Sabertooths raged within the castle. Truly admirable devotion."
Lycor looks up at the Lio Nemesis, his expression becoming blank and harder to read.
Lycor: "Galvanor's attack, yes... time for our counterattack. They had their chances to end this war peacefully, but Galvanor chose to keep fighting. Well... that's what Lio Nemesis is for, isn't it?"
The handful of Sabretooths left at the waterfall hastily fall back into the cavity in the rock as they see the incoming Bats, climbing up the frozen waterfall and the stone walls around it. They fire a few token shots at their Bat pursuers, but don't offer any real resistance until they're some way back, at which point they pour into an opening in the wall that doesn't appear on any Lion map of the waterfall passage.
***
Oddly, the reunited Sabretoothes do not appear dismayed by the Bats having seized the rear end of the room.
"Now!" Finglor bellows from somewhere within the shield formation. A lone warrior fires a shot into a pile of what appeared to be ice and debris - against the left-hand wall, in precisely the spot where many of the Hunters had been seen doing something suspicious earlier - but is quickly revealed to be explosives, as a powerful blast reverberates from the spot, tearing through the stone wall and creating a new exit. Before the dust clears, the Sabretoothes charge towards it and the open mountain slopes above Lion City.
***
The last warrior battling Lycor falls to the ground, wounded.
OOC: I realise damaging canon locations generally isn't the done thing, but this is fairly minor and easily repaired - this exact same thing actualy happens in episode 10 of the TV series, when the Wolves raid the Sacred Pool and blast through the wall to escape. I've attached a couple of screenshots of the scene as examples
As you can see, it's not a major hole relative to the size of the room or the building - most of the explosive force went into going through the thick stone rather than into creating a large opening, so it doesn't have any major effect on the structural integrity of the building and it shouldn't take very long to fill in once the battle is over.
Sorry about your wall, anyway.
OOC: Oh yeah, don't worry about that. I remember when Lion City was almost completely destroyed early on in the RP.
IC: Bliston coughs as the dust from the exploded wall clears, and waves it out of his eyes in time to see Finglor and the other Sabertooths leave. He halts the allied forces as most of their remaining fire chi orbs are fizzling out.
Bliston: "Let's not be foolish now in our zeal to take down more enemies. Don't fly and run after them just to be frozen."
Sirius nods in agreement, and surveys the room, clearing away rubble with his feet and tail, and surveying the fallen and frozen in the room and hall. As the Bats fly down to evaluate the results with him, it is then that Bliston notices Lyrix.
Bliston: "...You, on the other hand, may be able to pursue them still. Is it possible you could fly to the Sabertooths on their way out, and aim for their King with those deadly-looking fire wings--?"
Lyrix shakes his head as the wings disperse into the air: "No can do, pal. These things have got a limited charge. I flew all the way over here from up north, and then I used them in battle both outside and inside this castle. I don't need to plug another orb of fire chi into this harness, but I do need to wait for it to charge up again, you could say. I don't know how long that'll take, but the toothies are gonna be long gone by then, I reckon."
Bliston nods: "I see, that makes sense. Then I suppose what I ought to do now is to speak with King Lycor."
***
Lycor sheathes his fire valious on his back and stands up wearily, as Lyn and the other Lions in the hall turn to their King to check on his status. He gestures to the downed sabertooth, however.
Lycor: "Forget about me, focus on him. Is he alive? Do we have a prisoner?"
OOC: Oh yeah, I remember that too. Things were crazy back then.
IC: In the cavity behind the waterfall, the Sabretoothes who just fled into their hidden tunnel set off a small explosion. It causes no damage to the Temple and doesn't block the flow of the water, but dislodges enough earth and rock to seal off the Sabretooth tunnel and prevents anyone from following them underground, at least not without proper equipment to clear the tunnel.
Outside, the Sabretoothes waste no time moving as far from the city as possible. Once they're some distance away and the curve of the mountainside hides them from view, they head to another hidden tunnel entrance and vanish underground.
*** The Sabretooth, unfortuneately, is smashed by his wound by the time they check on him, though Sabrin remains alive inside the charred remains of the storeroom.
IC: Lyn and the present Lions come to take their sole sabertooth prisoner, Sabrin, and to check on Lynna and the store room. They take both occupants to the castle hospital, and recover the surviving fire chi orbs.
Lynna and Sabrin are taken to the castle hospital. The fire chi inserted into slots throughout the room creates a surrounding aura that prevents Sabrin's touch from automatically freezing anyone or anything in the room.
Sabrin is still unconscious and so does not try to resist being taken to the hospital. None of of his injuries seem all that severe, though, so he looks as if he should wake up after a few hours of rest.

OOC: That part made me laugh out loud. Not sure what that says about me.
IC: Scordon may be met with further surprise when the Bat King flies down next to him with two bats at his sides.
Bliston: "Well well, it appears our unofficial allies in the coming battle with the Hunters are war profiteers. Do the others in Unichi know about this?"
The bats look at the Forgotten returning the gear.
Bliston: "At least you leaders retain order. I see you and Spalyx Vance bear Fire Wings like Lyrix, so it's good that you're here. King Lycor and I are going to focus on locating five other Harnesses after we've dealt with Galvanor. I say five, because it's imperative that we utilize eight of them, no more, no less. In the meantime, I've sent Bats to get a fresh shipment of fire chi from the Phoenix Isles. We would greatly appreciate it if you either began the search for more Harnesses or assisted in the attack on Eagle Spire."

["A Tragic Decision" plays.]
Lycor walks across the top of the castle with his mother.
Lyn: "Reconstruction progress is going smoothly, and the Alliance armies will probably be ready to mobilize after the Bats come back with the fire chi."
The image of the Bats crashing the MMSC into the Raven HQ flashes through Lycor's mind.
Lycor murmurs: "That feels like so long ago... So much devastation, but it did end three wars at once."
Lyn: "What?"
Lycor: "Nothing. I'm just thinking... maybe we should try negotiating with Galvanor again. He may want to fight the Rays for the wrong reasons, but he could be valuable in defending Chima from--"
Lycor stops short as another image flashes in his mind, this one of his uncle's airship being obliterated by Galvanor and crashing beneath the waves near the Phoenix Isles.
Lyn: "Lycor?"
The Lion King swallows.
Lycor: "Sorry, I-- I got lost in thought. I think that this war should ultimately be ended without further violen--"
Upon the last word, the Lion King reaches the railing at the edge of the castle's top, and the city below becomes visible. Lycor stares with his mouth slightly agape and his brow now furrowed, glaring at the view. He sees buildings toppled and burning from the Eagles' air raids, hundreds of Lion citizens laying throughout it, some covered up to their necks with rubble as rescue crews and paramedics help them onto stretchers.
Lyn: "Son-- I mean, Your Highness, if you want to arrange a meeting with Gal--"
The King turns toward her with a chillingly calm expression.
Lycor: "No. It was just... a flickering thought, and an unrealistic one. We move out once those Bats get back."
Lyn blinks and takes a step back as her son turns briskly and walks back the way he came, his crimson cape billowing in the wind.

Before the Leopards depart, Leodus lands his Sky Scavenger atop the castle, and greets his friend.
Leodus: "I'm sorry we can't assist in the counterattack on the Eagles, but alas, my forces are battered and stretched thin."
Lycor: "It's fine. The Lions, Bats, and a decent amount of Bears should be more than enough to take on the Eagles alone. I thank you for your help in this battle, Leodus."
Lycor starts to turn away, but the Leopard King stops him.
Leodus: "Wait, Lycor. I wanted to tell you about an agent of mine, the lion Leonard. He recently and abruptly cut off all communication with us during the Battle of Lion City."
Lycor: "I see. You think he's defected to the Eagles?"
Leodus: "That is what I suspect, yes. He was raised by eagles in their homeland, after all. Lycor, with the information he has about the Lions and Leopards, the details of our headquarters' layouts and defenses, having been fairly high-ranking in both our tribes previously..."
Lycor: "Got it. If he has defected, if he's gone to grovel at Galvanor's feet, then I'll deal with him..."
Lycor walks off, as Leodus gets back in his Sky Scavenger and returns to the north with the other Leopard forces.
The Bats who were sent to retrieve a fresh batch of fire chi return, and the Bats, Lions, and Alliance Bears power up now that they've completed their recovery. Led by kings Bliston and Lycor, they march and fly west, leaving a sizable force of Lions and Bats to defend the city and Cavora, led by Lyn and Rex (the latter having been promoted from Head Ambassador to Supreme Commander Of Mainland Military Affairs, or SCOMMA).
IC: Lyn and the present Lions come to take their sole sabertooth prisoner, Sabrin, and to check on Lynna and the store room. They take both occupants to the castle hospital, and recover the surviving fire chi orbs.

IC: *Lynna goes through all the procedure as a good soldier.*

Sabrin shifts uncomfortably as he realises his ice powers are being blocked. "Where am I?"
Lion doctor: "The Lion Castle hospital. You took quite a blow during the battle in the fire chi storeroom."
Sabrin's eye go in and out of focus as his memories of just before the explosion slowly return, a look of triumph appreaging on his face as he realises his mission was successful. "And the others of my kind?"
