IC: Sabrin staggers backwards, allowing momentum to carry him towards the crates of Fire Chi. Seizing the small bag of explosives at his belt, he hurls it at the nearest crate and lets off another puslor blast. As the energy bolt strikes the bag, an explosion radiates outwards, enveloping several of the crates; Lynna, on the other side of the room, should be just out of range, but Sabrin is blasted from the ground and smashed into the opposite wall. Given the nature of Chi, it only adds to the explosion, so that the crates not touched by the initial blast quickly succumb to the flames. Fire surges, blackening the walls and blasting the doors from their hinges.
IC: *Lynna growls.* "It seems you have won in your own way." *She wonders if Sabrin survived or if he was smashed in the explosion(s).*
After retreating about halfway down the length of the Throne Room, Finglor calls a halt and reorders his men whilst the majority of the Bats and Lions are focused elsewhere. Most of the Sabretooth right flank pulls back, circling around the Sacred Pool to form one consolidated group to the side of the Pool, whilst a few warriors stay back to guard the waterfall. The main group surround themselves with dozens of tower shields, creating a tortoise formation. Finglor says something into his radio as the formation closes around him,
The surrounded band of Sabretoothes panic as they realise the Bats and Lions are not about to give way, and try to organise themselves back-to-back, though with limited success owing to the onslaught from all sides.
*** By now, only two or three warriors remain. Together, they lunge at Lycor in a desperate attempt to incapacitate him, leaving themselves vulnerable to the other Lions.
Bliston: "What the...? What is he planning?"
While looking wearily toward Finglor's shielded group, the Bat King has half his forces continue firing at the Sabertooths at the pool's side to keep them at bay.
Lyrix, Sirius, and the Bats, Lions, and Scorpions on both sides continue closing in, diminishing the Sabertooth group in the doorway/hall.
*** Lyn and a lion on either side jump at the attackers, striking down two of them, while Lycor ducks and aims a sword swing at the third sabertooth's legs.

Without warning, the tortoise formation lifts its shields a few inches from the ground and surges forwards, smashing into the Bats. The combination of the tower shields in front, to the sides and above leave the Sabretooths carrying them largely impervious to anything the Bats fire at them, whilst Finglor's decision to condense his men into a tightly-packed formation means that althought most of the line of Bats is unaffected, those who are struck by the formation find themselves under immense pressure from the shield wall, which crushes them against the other Sabretoothes in the doorway whilst spears and swords jab at them from small gaps between the shields.
Finglor's goal quickly becomes clear; by adopting this formation and packing his men so closely together, this rapid counterattack should quickly drive a small breach into the line of Bats; assuming this is accomplished, the tortoise formation edges to the right, allowing the Sabretooths who were trapped in the doorway to retreat into the Throne Room through the narrow gap they have created.
OoC: Sorry about the delay - I had several essay deadlines in rapid succession.

Bliston: "Looks like we're shifting a bit, then."
Bliston has all of the Bats fly up and over, going to the back of the room where Finglor's group had been before charging. Though there is now no division between the two groups of Sabertooths, allowing them to reunite, the Bats now control the back of the room. Lyrix and Sirius push forward into the room, intentionally clogging the doorway, as most of the Bats attack the Sabertooths from behind, and about a quarter of the Bats swarm throughout the natural space behind the Lion's throne, leaving no stone unturned as they search for the tunnel the Hunters had arrived through.
*** Lycor skids on the slush that has accumulated on the floor of the hallway, righting himself and whipping around as fast as he can to see what became of the sabertooth he'd slid past and slashed at.

The handful of Sabretooths left at the waterfall hastily fall back into the cavity in the rock as they see the incoming Bats, climbing up the frozen waterfall and the stone walls around it. They fire a few token shots at their Bat pursuers, but don't offer any real resistance until they're some way back, at which point they pour into an opening in the wall that doesn't appear on any Lion map of the waterfall passage.

Oddly, the reunited Sabretoothes do not appear dismayed by the Bats having seized the rear end of the room.
"Now!" Finglor bellows from somewhere within the shield formation. A lone warrior fires a shot into a pile of what appeared to be ice and debris - against the left-hand wall, in precisely the spot where many of the Hunters had been seen doing something suspicious earlier - but is quickly revealed to be explosives, as a powerful blast reverberates from the spot, tearing through the stone wall and creating a new exit. Before the dust clears, the Sabretoothes charge towards it and the open mountain slopes above Lion City.

The last warrior battling Lycor falls to the ground, wounded.
OOC: I realise damaging canon locations generally isn't the done thing, but this is fairly minor and easily repaired - this exact same thing actualy happens in episode 10 of the TV series, when the Wolves raid the Sacred Pool and blast through the wall to escape. I've attached a couple of screenshots of the scene as examples
As you can see, it's not a major hole relative to the size of the room or the building - most of the explosive force went into going through the thick stone rather than into creating a large opening, so it doesn't have any major effect on the structural integrity of the building and it shouldn't take very long to fill in once the battle is over.

Sorry about your wall, anyway.
OOC: Oh yeah, don't worry about that. I remember when Lion City was almost completely destroyed early on in the RP.
IC: Bliston coughs as the dust from the exploded wall clears, and waves it out of his eyes in time to see Finglor and the other Sabertooths leave. He halts the allied forces as most of their remaining fire chi orbs are fizzling out.
Bliston: "Let's not be foolish now in our zeal to take down more enemies. Don't fly and run after them just to be frozen."
Sirius nods in agreement, and surveys the room, clearing away rubble with his feet and tail, and surveying the fallen and frozen in the room and hall. As the Bats fly down to evaluate the results with him, it is then that Bliston notices Lyrix.
Bliston: "...You, on the other hand, may be able to pursue them still. Is it possible you could fly to the Sabertooths on their way out, and aim for their King with those deadly-looking fire wings--?"
Lyrix shakes his head as the wings disperse into the air: "No can do, pal. These things have got a limited charge. I flew all the way over here from up north, and then I used them in battle both outside and inside this castle. I don't need to plug another orb of fire chi into this harness, but I do need to wait for it to charge up again, you could say. Bliston nods: "I see, that makes sense. Then I suppose what I ought to do now is to speak with King Lycor."

Lycor sheathes his fire valious on his back and stands up wearily, as Lyn and the other Lions in the hall turn to their King to check on his status. He gestures to the downed sabertooth, however.

OOC: Oof, the Lions just finished a very long battle here, and I really need to wrap up the Second Chima Civil War, and start the search for the remaining Fire Wing Harnesses. Do you mind postponing this attack for a little while, like maybe the Rhinos agreed to a temporary truce, or are being held off outside the city?

Lyn and the Lions in the hall check on the statuses of the last sabertooth in the hall, the storeroom, and its occupants, while Lycor heads to the throne room. There, he meets with the leaders of the allied defense. The Lion King looks surprised at the sight of Lyrix, and after focusing for a second on the particular harness his cousin is wearing, Lycor seems to be calculating before speaking.
Lycor: "Well, well. You're certainly the last person I would've expected to be a destined Harness-bearer, and an essential defender of Lion City, Lyrix."
Lyrix: "Well, times change, and I think finally I get this whole 'protecting Chima as a whole' thing, now that I've got people to protect... good Gods, that was cheesy, ugh, why'd I say that? I think I'm gonna hur--"
Lycor: "Glad to have had your help here, Lyrix. Due to these recent actions you've taken to protect your place of birth, the Lion City, and due to your status as one of the Fire Wing Harness-bearers essential to a Great Illumination, I hereby pardon you for your previous crimes, and relinquish your exile."
Even while Lyrix thanks Lycor for this, there are already murmurs, especially among the non-lions in the room, that the Lion King only pardoned Lyrix because he now needs him for the Illumination. Nevertheless, Bliston flies down to Lycor, speaking to him next to the nearly empty chi pool.
Bliston: "I apologize for not being fast enough to stop the Sabertooths from draining the chi pool, or to stop their leader from getting out alive."
Lycor: "It's quite alright. I can't thank you enough for your assistance here, King Bliston. It's seems King Finglor will always run and hide, but the Hunters will lose their advantage of ice powers once we enact a Great Illumination. Of course, as I learned recently, a complete Great Illumination would reset the universe."
There is a stunned silence in the room, as the many voices of the conversing Lions, Scorpions and Bats cease.
Lycor addresses the room at large: "That is why it's imperative that we enact a partial Illumination with eight Harnesses, like the last one. The Harness-bearers can decide what shape the very fabric of the universe will take when they initiate the Illumination, as long as it's a partial one. I'll explain my perfect plan for the Illumination once we've found the remaining Fire Wings and gathered all the Harness-bearers. For now, though, we must prepare for an immediate counterattack against Galvanor. He needs to be stopped on all fronts, and this Second Chima Civil War needs to end in order for us to be united in our cause of finding the Fire Wings and stopping the Ice Hunters."
Bliston: "I think we can all agree to that. It's become clear to me that Galvanor wants to throw as many of us as he can at the Rays just to attain his revenge, no matter how many of our lives it costs. He needs to be taken down before he can do more damage. I stayed neutral for a long time, but now I realize my place is here, with the Alliance."
Bliston and Lycor shake hands, as the Bats officially join the Chima Alliance.
Sirius: "The Scorpions, on the other hand, are still a part of Unichi, but rest assured we're on the same page as the Chima Alliance. In fact, we've been joining our forces together, along with the Stinger Brotherhood, and the Phoenix, who've reportedly come to their senses and defected from Primordium, to launch an assault to finally reclaim Crystal Crater. This will also keep most of the Hunters occupied, and hold them off while you find the Fire Wings."
Lycor: "The Phoenix have defected from Primordium? That's excellent news; they must've relinquished the 'fire chi tax' as well, then."
Bliston: "The Lions and Bats will ready for an attack on Eagle Spire to destroy what's left of Primordium, and then we'll join you in the east, assuming we're not too battered afterward."
Lycor and Sirius nod.
Sirius: "Sounds like a plan. Farewell, and good luck, Chima Alliance."

Even as construction teams get to work fixing the damage in the castle and city, the Lion and Bat armies rebuild in their own right, preparing for a vengeful assault on Eagle Spire. The remaining Alliance Bears (those who didn't follow Wotjek in merging with the Forgotten), fix their mechs out in the field and enter the city to plan the attack with the Lions and Bats.
Due to their long inactivity and luckiness in not being attacked during the Fire-Ice Wars, the Bears have a large supply of unused fire chi, which they share with their allies, and the Chima Alliance forces refuel.

In a bedroom in the Lion Castle...
Lyrix: "So, you said there's another Royal Valious up here? I see you're carrying one, now that you're the King."
Lycor: "Yes, this spare one was taken here after King Lionel's disappearance."
Lyrix: "Good, I can't wait to see the look on Galvanor's face when two of Chima's most powerful sword come upon him at once! Hah! How easy it'll be, to cut him down--"
Lycor draws his own Valious, and Lyrix turns too late to avoid being hit across the head with the blunt side of the wide sword, knocking him unconscious instantly. Lycor sheathes his Royal Valious, and hoists Lyrix up, laying him on the bed (luckily, the Fire Wings themselves are still retracted, preventing the bed from being caught ablaze).
Lycor: "Sorry Lyrix, but you won't be participating in this battle. I know you, and I know what you're going to try to do. Believe me, I want to avenge my uncle, your father, as much as you do... but for now, Galvanor must be brought in alive. It's not a question: his exclusive knowledge of the Manta Ray Empire could be imperative to standing a chance against them if the Empire does attack, and at this point, I think it's only a matter of time until they do."
The Lion King walks to the door, looking back at the unconscious Harness-bearer.
Lycor: "That's also why we need to initiate a Great Illumination to deal with the Ice Hunters' threat as soon as we can. That is when you'll play your part to save Chima. Although, to quote you, Lyrix, how easy it would be to pry that Harness from you while you're unconscious, but alas... I, unlike you, am not destined to wear a Fire Wing Harness. And we've no time to find another replacement to wear that Harness, when we've already got five more Harnesses and five more Harness bearers to find. I can only hope that you'll agree to my plan for a Great Illumination, cousin, otherwise... otherwise I'll have to go to desperate measures to convince you. I know you can't hear me right now, but... I'm being genuine when I say I truly hope it doesn't come to that. It's just that the fate of the world rests on this plan. Farewell for now."
IC: *She does. Turning, she limps to the doorway, using her one axe as a cane. She leans on the doorway and looks down the hallway for anyone, while also keeping an eye on Sabrin.*
OOC: I don't think the door's blocked, is it? and The J
OOC: Well they got in, so no.
IC: Lyn and the present Lions come to take their sole sabertooth prisoner, Sabrin, and to check on Lynna and the store room. They take both occupants to the castle hospital, and recover the surviving fire chi orbs.
Lynna and Sabrin are taken to the castle hospital. The fire chi inserted into slots throughout the room creates a surrounding aura that prevents Sabrin's touch from automatically freezing anyone or anything in the room.
