I decided to archive all the old interviews as they show something very special about this community and its history. Please don't write anything until all interviews have been moved if u wish to help then by all means send the interviews themselves here.
It’s fun but it’s hectic and busy too. We work under very tight deadlines putting LEGO Club Magazine out, so we are going at full speed all the time.
2. What would you build if you had an unlimited supply of LEGO pieces?
No idea. I build from instructions, basically, I am not much of a free builder. I tend to think in words, not pictures, so I don’t have much artistic ability.
3. What was the best thing about working on BIONICLE? What was the toughest challenge?
The creative freedom to build a universe and take it in different directions. Probably the toughest part was sometimes having to work so many characters into a comic or story, so that they could all be featured.
4. Which BIONICLE character is your absolute favorite? Why?
I have soft spot for Kopaka. I modeled him on characters I have liked who basically feel they don’t need anyone else and can do everything better on their own, so he was very easy to write for.
5. How did you manage to create so many amazing characters, places, and stories? What was your inspiration?
I think it was just the needs of the story. I try to write stories I would want to read, and since I don’t outline, I never know what is going to happen next. It makes the creation process very exciting.
6. What projects are you working on now that BIONICLE is long since retired?
I am primarily working on LEGO Club Magazine at work, and in my off-time, I am writing Ninjago graphic novels and Chima short stories.
7. What advice can you give to young fans hoping to have a career like yours one day?
Read a lot – especially writers who are better than you are. It inspires you to be better. And write, as much as you can. Writers write, they don’t think about the cool writing they will do someday … they do it.
8. When did you first discover your love for LEGO building? What types of things do you like to build most?
I tend to like big, complex models that take a long to build. I think I value a model more if I have had to invest a lot of time and effort into building it.
9. What is the craziest question you’ve ever been asked? What question do fans ask you most often?
I have answered so many questions over the years that I am not sure I can name a craziest one. I get a lot of questions about whether BIONICLE will ever come back (don’t know the answer to that one).
10. Do you have any superpowers?
I have the power to somehow, against all odds, get my 3-year old daughter to go to sleep.
1. You are one of the most famous LMB users. How does it feel? Do your friends and family in real life now about your LMB fame? What do they think?
I don't really know if it feels different because I was famous about a few months after I joined. The only difference is what I am famous for. Then I was famous for spamming. Now I would say I am more famous for discovering ranks, helping newbies, and doing quality and helpful posts, especially on the Message Board Help and Suggestions and Welcome to the Community forums. I wouldn't say I am that famous though. I don't post on the Community Chat forum too much which is where most users hang out, so I bet a good amount of users haven't heard of me or don't know me well. There are many users who do know me well and are my friends. Most of my friends are from the old LMBs back when I was active on the Message Boards forum and used most of the topics there. So many of my friends have retired, but luckily I always seem to find new ones. Take Brewers2007 for example. This is actually a funny story. We met when I commented on his username since I am a Chicago Cubs fan who are a rival to the Milwaukee Brewers . We had a little chat, and yeah, that's how we met . Speaking of Brewers Cubs, the Brewers are playing the Cubs now ! The Brewers won the game yesterday (5/16/14). Speaking of the Cubs, my sister is now a St. Louis Cardinals fan who are also a rival to the Cubs . Little family rivalry ? Now about real life. This is tricky because NOBODY I know in real life knows I post here . My dad did about 3 years ago when I joined, but he probably has no idea I still do as he probably thinks I outgrew it . So yeah, nobody knows about the LMBs, my friends here, and how much fun I have. I think that's a good thing though because if my parents found out how much I post here, they would probably make me cut back .
2. You are also the highest ranked user. Congrats! What’s your secret to rank success?
I don't know why I am the highest ranked user I don't have many posts or likes compared to some other users like Benboy or Skul . My guess would be that the secret is to be helpful, which doesn't make sense since the system is automated and can't track helpfulness. I guess I would have to guess the secret is to post and read lots of forums. I post and read posts on many forums while some users with more likes or posts only post in a few forums. So yeah, spread out would be my best guess to ranking up, although don't quote me on that. I am on the hot seat here so I just guessed something off the top of my head .
3. What advice can you give to lower ranked users on how to achieve the ranks in a positive, constructive way?
I pretty much answered this in the last question, but I will say it again with another theory I just came up with. I think it helps you rank up to post and read many topics on many forums. My other theory is not to spam. My guess is that post count isn't a requirement, or is a minor one. I think that characters posted might be a more important requirement. I tend to make long posts and don't make one word posts in spammy chatrooms. Yes, I do post on the MMC, but most of my posts there are about video games, sports, or movies and they are usually a decent length and are very rarely only a few words. So yeah, post and read many forums and try to make quality posts.
4. What personal achievement are you most proud of and why?
That's tough. I am still an old LMB guy, so I would have to say |_egend. I remember when the first |_egend, Rocko, got what was called "Rank X" at the time. I remember the second Rank X, The Dude. The mods then decided on |_egend to be the name of the rank, which I thought was pretty cool. My favorite old LMB rank was still Inventor though. I personally wanted Rank X to be Rock Star after its founder, Rocko, but |_egend is still cool . I also find it cool that I was the 14th and final |_egend. When I first joined I would NEVER have thought I would get /\/\aniac, much less |_egend!
5. What is your all time favorite LMB memory and why?
Oh, that's REALLY tough. I have so many good memories here. I guess I will say that it is when I met my idol, HQuiff. I was a member of the LVNS2, and HQuiff was the user who founded the original LVNS. For those who don't know, the LVNS is the "LEGO VISION NEWS STATION". I remember, he came and posted there. He only posted for a few days, but it was awesome. He will always be one of my favorite LMB users and I am so happy I got to meet him, if only for a few days !
6. Tell us three things about you that we probably don’t know.
I tell most things about me here, so this is hard . I guess I will do three things most users don't know. The first is where I'm from. I'm from New Hampshire. Most old users know that, but most users reading this interview probably don't. The second is that I love amusement parks. I have been to Canobie Lake Park almost every year since I was a kid. Now my favorite park is Six Flags New England. My favorite ride there is definitely Bizarro. It's so fun ! It was the first rollercoaster over 20 feet I ever went on! It was about 10 times the size actually at over 200 feet tall ! I remember my first trip to Six Flags New England. The first ride I went on was Scream, a giant 200 foot tall drop tower. I went on Bizarro next. I remember, I only went on 9 rides all day. I only went on the big rides because the lines were LONG. I have been to Six Flags New England about 10 times now ! I have also been to Six Flags Fiesta Texas which is also awesome ! I remember, at Fiesta Texas I went the first time with my mom. At the time she didn't ride roller coasters, so I just went on rides alone. My favorite was an old wooden one called The Rattler. The next year my dad and cousin came. They didn't want to go on The Rattler, but I finally convinced them. They both didn't like it too much because it's a VERY rough wooden rollercoaster. They closed it the next day and replaced it the next year with a hybrid coaster called The Iron Rattler. I am yet to go on The Iron Rattler, but I hope to soon ! I am jealous of my two friends though. They are both cousins and got to go to the best amusement park in the world, Cedar Point ! I want to go there SO bad! Maybe I will go once I'm out of college or during some summer ! It has the second tallest rollercoaster in the world, Top Thrill Dragster. It just shoots you out at over 100 miles per hour, you go up 400 feet, go over the top, and then come back down ! They said it was awesome ! The next year I went to a new school where I saw a girl with a Kingda Ka shirt ! That is the tallest rollercoaster in the world ! It's the same thing except faster and is 480 feet tall ! I hope to go to Six Flags Great Adventure and go on Kingda Ka myself ! The third thing is I love sports! I first got into sports when I watched the Montreal Canadiens/Boston Bruins playoff series in 2011. The Bruins ended up winning the series and eventually the Stanley Cup, and ever since I have LOVED baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. I love all forms too, whether it's pro, college, or high school!
7. What career do you hope to have when you are older and why?
Of course I would love to be a LEGO designer, but that's a long shot. Realistically I want to do something with computers. I am learning Java from my dad in my spare time right now and I am going to take a programming course at a tech school my Junior and Senior year (I'm a Sophomore, so next year I start )! Also, as they say, computers are the future so there will always be jobs for techy people in the future !
8. How did you first come to join the LMBs? What made you stay so long?
Actually, the first time I joined the LMBs I stayed here for less than a day . I made one post on the Atlantis Roleplay forum at the Undersea Market. That was back in January 2010. I didn't get active until I made my second post in October or November 2010. I then started posting, mostly spam, for a few months. Once I got to 8,000 posts I stopped spamming and have been against spam ever since. I stay for my friends. I have lost most of my original friends, but luckily I get news ones all the time ! I also stay here because I love LEGO and I don't know anybody in real life who likes them so they give me some people to talk about them with !
9. You are known for being very welcoming and for answering lots of user questions. When did you start welcoming and answering questions so much? What do you enjoy about it?
I don't remember when I started. I remember that I started on Talk to the Mods though. When the new LMBs came out, I also joined the Welcome to the Community forum where I welcome every user ! I now also help on most topics on the Message Board Help and Suggestions forum and multiple other topics on various forums. I love answering questions and sharing my LMB experience ! My favorite questions to answer are ones about the old LMBs or old users. I love telling stories, and usually I end up going on rants about old users or the old LMBs when somebody asks me about them . Of course, I am definitely not the user who knows the most about the old LMBs. I have to give that title to Alemas and EDD. They have been here for MUCH longer than me! I learned most of my LMB knowledge from other users, and now users are learning their LMB knowledge from me ! I enjoy it very much and will answer questions as long as I have time. I hope I have time in college to continue posting. If not I will be sure to find time to chat with old LMB buddies on some topics and answer questions on TTTM. Luckily I am only a Sophomore in high school, so I still have a few years before college, so I am not going anywhere !
10. How did you decide on the now famous name “Diglett?” Are you a huge Pokemon fan?
Yay, I get to tell a story ! Yes, I used to LOVE Pokemon. My first Pokemon card was the original Diglett. I don't collect Pokemon cards anymore, but I still LOVE Pokemon and Pokemon games ! My favorite Pokemon is and always will be Diglett. So yeah, that's where I got the "Diglett" part. Now for the 809. On my first online game (which I won't name since I am not allowed to share usernames for other sites), my brother used Nacho809 so I used Diglett809 and my sister used Coolgirl809. I have used Diglett809 on almost every game I have played since! So yeah, that's the origin of Diglett809.
11. What kind of posts do you give likes to? Why?
I give likes for a few reasons. Reason one is if I find a post high quality I will usually like it. Reason two is that if I agree with a post I will usually like it. Reason three is that I tend to give likes to posts by old users who are inactive or semi-active. Those users don't get many likes since they don't post a lot, but I think they deserve better so I give them likes. The two main users I do this to are EED and Alemas, both of which I only see on LMB OLD TIMERS!, and they usually only post a couple times a day. Reason four is new users. Not only do I welcome every user who joins the LMBs on the Welcome to the Community forum, but I give them a like too! Lots of users have caught on to this too as you can tell by new user's posts getting up to around 5 likes. It makes them feel good and welcome !
12. Do you have any superpowers?
I don't have any "super" powers, but I do have some "skills". My biggest skill is how fast I can type. Before the LMBs I couldn't type for my life. After over 3 years on the LMBs I am a typing machine. I can type like crazy and I don't even look at the keys anymore! It's not just helpful for the LMBs though. Since I can type fast I can write code fast, so this skill will help me be a good programmer !
13. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
I have a good one! If you could have won ANY LEGO contest ever, which one would it be and why? This can include anything from LEGO.com contests to LEGO Club contests to LEGO Universe contests. I have won two LEGO contests in my life ! My first was a racing one in LEGO Universe. I got in the 4-10 category at the Gnarled Forest racing competition. I actually won by a glitch. I used my boost, but instead of losing the boost it stayed, so I boosted again! I then had a perfect rest of the race, and that one boost made the few second difference that got me some World Racers sets ! My second was The Emmet Awards trailer contest. I am a nominee, although I don't think I will win the category. I have never won an actual building contest though which is what I really want to win .
14. Question from emrldtiger: You are being held captive by a giant mutant LEGO minifigure, who has locked you in a room with a GIANT bucket of LEGO bricks so you won't get bored. How would you escape?
Why escape ? I have a giant bucket of LEGO bricks so I won't get bored! I can just build forever. I guess I would want to escape to share my creation though, so I guess I would build a giant battering ram to take out the giant LEGO figure and share my creations on the LEGO.com galleries !
15. What other advice or memories would you like to share with the readers of this interview? The floor is yours.
My first story is the POLL ROOM!. It was a topic by MTM. I started a poll craze where some users like me made around 50-100 polls a day ! This was in my spammy era when I first joined, so lots of them were asking if you had a certain LEGO set or something . Although I spammed, it turned into good! Ever since they locked the POLL ROOM! I have been doing Diglett's Daily Poll on the LVNS2! Eventually I turned Diglett's Daily Poll into just a part of Diglett's Daily News Program! Sadly I was too late. By the time I started Diglett's Daily News Program the LEGO News forum was dead and nobody reads it . I still do it bi-weekly to this day just to have the fun of writing news and making up stories from a made up LEGO City! I miss the LEGO News forum. Sadly its downfall is spam . Since users don't have the time to make quality posts because they are too busy posting in spammy chatrooms they don't make news . Sadly you get more likes for saying "OK " in a chatroom than for writing a post full of news on the LEGO News forum these days, and since most users care a LOT about likes as shown by the mods experiment with the likes leaderboards, nobody will post news . If only users came, then tons of users would like the news, more users would write news to get likes, and the LEGO News subforum would be saved! My second story is the Creator forum. I am the user who originally asked for a Creator forum. I asked the mods one day where to talk about Creator, and they said the Designers subforum. I then made a topic asking to change the Designers subforum into a Creator forum. The mods answered, we voted yes to it, and the Creator forum was born ! So yeah, it's kind of cool that I helped found a forum. I really deserve that "Forum Founder" badge . My third story is my ban. Back when the new LMBs were brand new I was the most liked user for a pretty long time. I was eventually passed by some users including The Dude and Skul. Me and Skul were still in a VERY long flame war about spam. I will not go into detail since it's a good thing to forget . Anyways, I liked spammed a user because I didn't like that Skul was the most liked user. The mods ended up banning me for a week. Luckily I had WA's email from when she warned me and Skul to stop our flame war, so I emailed WA begging her to unban me. She did, I said my good bye, and retired. I stopped posting for a few months, but eventually came back. The day I came back I got the next rank, Highland Battler. Somehow I passed everybody in ranks and eventually tied some users with Pirate. That same day I got/founded 2 more ranks: Revolutionary Soldier and Cowboy. After about half a year I founded the next rank after that, Detective. I then founded Bandit a few months later. So yeah, I came from being a generally hated and mean user to becoming a user who is nice to almost all users ! I forgave Skul, he forgave me, and we haven't had trouble in forever ! Sadly, Skul has pretty much retired, although he came back yesterday to post about the like leaderboards. There are still spammers these days that I won't point out, but I tolerate them . I report their posts sometimes and sometimes ask the mods to tell them to stop. I am just hoping that someday they grow out of spam like I did at 8,000 posts and never spam again ! With all the new users and all the likes users get for spamming, there will always be spammers. Times have changed. Sadly I was one of the first major spammers and am ashamed of it . I just try to stay away from spam though, and it works ! I post in one spammy topic, the MMC. I tolerate it there though by skipping over posts not concerning me! Well, I think I took up enough time in this interview, so I will stop now . If you ever have a question about something or somebody on the old LMBs, feel free to ask on TTTM ! Thanks for reading!
1. How did you choose your username? What does it mean?
Honestly, I don't really remember. Nokama is my favorite character from BIONICLE, but the number really has no significance. I think it was issued to me.
2. You recently celebrated your 5 year anniversary. Congratulations! How have the LMBs changed over your time here?
Thanks very much! I'm glad to have shared it with you all. Well, honestly I think that things have gotten better on the MBs since I joined. The emotes are better, the character count has been extended, (a boon to story writers ,) and it's way more user friendly.
3. What is your favorite memory from your long time on the LMBs? Why did you choose that memory?
Ooh, that's a hard one. I have tons of good memories from the boards. One of my favorites was probably when I found out that LEGO LotR was coming out. But my absolute favorite memories always involve my friends. Sadly, being on the boards with some of my best friends have to be memories, like my good friends Rockoages and Agentlevi_Jesusrocks. But happily I still talk to those guys, and I've made new friends, so my friends are probably my favorite memories.
4. You were a big LU fan. Are you excited for the new Chima MMO?
Well, honestly I haven't been a huge fan of Chima so far, and I really think nothing can ever replace LU. But I'm not going to judge before I see it. Or try not to, at least.
5. What user(s) has influenced you the most on the LMBs? Why?
Hmm. Well, when I originally joined up, my role models were all the authors: ArghYeMatey, Rahaga806, and LEGOLover361. They still remain some of my favorite authors. Then later I came to admire my friend Roa for how nice he always was to anyone, totally ignoring their rank, age, and grammar. I try to be that way in my life as well as in the MBs. I hope I'm doing a good job.
6. You recently started a topic called "It's time for a tough love pep talk..." In it you give some great advice. Can you share that advice with everyone here?
Sure. Everyone go and read my topic! Just kidding. I posted that topic because I'm saddened at users leaving just because they feel like no one notices them, and that they'll never be Dwarfy, (no offense, Dwarfy. ) I think lately some people have lost sight of what the MBs are all about: sharing our love of LEGO with each other. So if we keep that in mind, we won't worry about ranks or likes.
7. I heard that you were featured in MichaelYoda's story "The Legend of Nicholas749 ~ A story." Have you read it? How does it feel to be a character in an epic LMB story?
Actually, I just heard about that, myself. I remember the discussion we had on Author's Hangout 8. From that I got the impression that it would be a conspiracy theory comedy. I was pleasantly surprised to find it an epic. But really, it's an honor. I think this is the first time I've been featured in a story. So thanks, Mikey! Keep up the good work! BTW, if you're ever looking to sell the movie rights, gimme a call...
8. Tell us a fun fact about yourself that we don't already know.
Hmm. Let's see. I don't think many people know that I took horseback riding for 8 years. I still aim to have a horse of my own someday. But moreover I don't think that anyone knows I'm an amateur photographer, and my dream college degree would be directing and filmmaking.
9. You seem to be a big Lord of the Rings fan. What is it about LotR that appeals to you so much?
Oh my, you've asked a deadly question... I am a huge fan of LotR. I could probably list a billion reasons why I like it, but I absolutely adore the beauty and realism of the world Tolkien has created. And I also love the morals he managed to intertwine into an unforgettable story. I mean, Bilbo and Frodo and Sam and all the good guys are heroes, but not necessarily because they're bigger or more powerful than anyone else. In the end, it's because they had a chance, and they did the right thing. That means that anyone, even I, can be a hero. And I find that to be very inspiring.
10. What would you do if you were a Mod for a day?
I would use my epic powers to CONTROL THE WORLD!!!!! Just kidding. I would try to do a good job and be fair...although I might try to put a good word in for free sets for a day...
11. What is your favorite LEGO theme of all time? Why?
I honestly can't say I have a favorite. I think it's a tossup between BIONICLE and LotR/The Hobbit.
12. Do you have any superpowers?
My over active imagination, which can be a curse as well as a blessing when you are paranoid. But if I can ever sort them out, I have at least 5 different concepts for good stories. I'm also a speed-reader, and I can remember most of what I've read, which is helpful when one reads the Silmarillion. Now if only it'd work for algebra...
13. What would you like a future poll to be?
If you could be a LEGO Designer for a day, what kind of sets would you make, and why?
14. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
Which posts do you give likes to, and why?
15. Question from wolfasa: What is your favorite old LEGO theme?
BIONICLE and LEGO Universe. Not much else to be said.
1. Let me guess, you are a Chronicles of Narnia fan. What exactly does your ID mean? Why did you choose it?
Yes, I'm an avid fan of Narnia. I picked my username after having read the entire series for the umpteenth time. As you might know, I had had an account before, with the name Female100, but when decided I wanted a new name, I picked Aravis. The character Aravis, from the book The Horse and His Boy, is my favorite character in all of Narnia. The funny thing is, Aravis never went to Narnia. She came from Calormene and stayed in Archenland. I wasn't thinking logically when I chose the name, but I still like it. And who besides a Narnia fanatic would recognize what Archenland and Calormene are? Very few people would understand my username.
2. You seem to post often in the Kingdoms forum. Are you excited about the new Castle theme? Why or why not?
I'm totally excited about the new Castle theme! The sets from the old Kingdoms theme were out of my budget, and I never had an interest in the medieval themes before that. When I discovered my interest, I was disappointed that there were only a couple Kingdoms sets. This version of Castle is exactly what I was waiting for. And another reason I like it is because there's only ONE mythical creature, the dragon. It may seem strange, but I'm not a fan of fantasy that has loads of unearthly creatures. Hey, maybe that's why I didn't like The Hobbit much...
3. You write the story “Story of Narnia.” What do you like about writing stories? What is the most challenging part?
(Hate to correct a mod, but it's Narina, with the I before the second N. Don't feel bad, lots of people make that mistake. ) The thing I enjoy about writing stories is the sense of control over the characters, like a game, except with no rules where you move your pieces (characters) as you want. When everything in life seems to be spinning out of control, you can sit down and write your own world where nothing happens that you didn't plan. Also, in a story you can make it turn out right, with the protagonist winning his reward, and the antagonist receiving his due punishment.
The challenging part is when you're stuck. You have to kick yourself back into motion and MAKE yourself write, or else you'll stay stuck forever. Another hard part it when you know something you wrote wasn't good enough, and you have to crumple it up and toss it away before your judgment gets clouded, and you convince yourself you love that half-baked chapter you just wrote. You've got to get rid of it before you get attached. Writing takes self-control (or a really pushy editor ).
4. You recently said that, on a scale of 1-10, you like the Chronicles of Narnia 108%. On a scale of 1-10 how much do you like LEGO? Why?
I'd put LEGO at 9. The only thing that keeps it from the score 10 is the price. I don't think it's overpriced, because you get amazing quality and service, but some sets aren't entirely affordable for kids or teens. Otherwise, it's the best toy in the world. I've played with other toys and brands in my life, but I've always played with LEGO. You never get tired of it because you can always make something different.
5. What is your favorite forum to post in? Why?
I can't decide between Friends and Kingdoms. I don't have many friends in the Friends Forum, ironically , but everyone's nice and it's a safe spot to talk and get excited about the new sets. As for Kingdoms, I like reading the stories and hearing what other users think of the new Castle theme.
6. What would you do if you met a Mod in real life?
If I met a mod, I'd ask them to take me to work with them for a day so I could see what they do in the mystical magic-filled monarchy of moderators.
7. What user (or users) have really inspired you on the LMBs? Why?
There are some users I admire, but I'm pretty sure the only one who's inspired me to emulate her is my friend Arya_Elf. It was because of her that I had the idea to write a Kingdoms story. There are other users I admire, but none of them have affected me as much.
8. What are your plans for the summer? Any fun activities or trips planned (other than spending time on the LMBs of course)?
I'm hoping I can go to a LEGO Store sometime this summer. My other plans include youth camp, a summer job, writing, and schoolwork. (No rest for the homeschooler. )
9. If you could be any character from LEGO Friends who would you be? Why?
I'd be Joanna, the minidoll who comes with the Pet Salon set. She gets to work with the animals, especially that cute poodle that comes with the set. I like poodles too. And her name is somewhat similar to mine.
10. How did you first become a LEGO fan? What made you want to keep building?
My brother was the one who got me interested in LEGO when I was about 3. I didn't start off with Duplo, but I did play with it quite a bit after I got interested in LEGO. I remember waking up early on the weekends to go build with my siblings, and we'd have competitions to see who could build the best. Most of my creations were some sort of slapdash boat, or house, (I know because I have pictures ) but gradually I got better, and started buying my own sets. I kept building because I wanted to build something better than my siblings, for once. I've improved, and they've improved; what I build still can't hold a candle to them, but I have fun, and that's what really matters.
11. Do you post in any of the LEGO.com galleries? If so, which ones?
At the moment I do not post in any galleries. I sometimes browse through the Friends one, and I think I've posted a creation there once, and during the MBs update I posted on the Creation Gallery, but not now.
12. Do you have any superpowers?
I don't have any superpowers. Instead, I'm insanely ticklish, which is a superweakness.
13. What would you like a future poll to be?
Something like 'Who's your favorite LEGO Friend?'. It's often hard to get a straight answer on that subject , but with a poll, you can't beat around the bush; you give a quick answer.
14. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
Do you have an organized system of keeping your LEGO tidy? If so, what?
15. Question from HuskeyGirl: If you were in charge of designing a future Minifigures series, what kind of minifigs would you include? Why?
If I designed a Minifigure series, I would include some average children, because it's hard to find sets with them, and they're useful for populating LEGO towns. I would also include historical minifigs. LEGO has done a good job of making them (for example, the Roman Emperor in Series 9), but I have a soft spot for historical characters and I'd like to see even more. Oh, and a grandma to go with the grandpa in Series 10, and a female paintballer.
1. OK. You have to tell us! What does your ID mean? Why did you choose it?
My I.D. was named after my cat, Yogurt, who was put down a few days before I made this account. He was 16.
2. Which is your favorite forum to post in? Why?
I'd have to choose between Message Boards Stories and Ninjago. I like the crazy stuff some people do on there.
3. You recently began a really cool story called “Checkmate.” What inspired you to write? Are you planning any other stories?
Well, Checkmate is what I would call my grand story, meaning I'm going to keep writing on it for a while. As for what inspired me, there are 2 reasons:
1. I've always wanted to do a chess map to depict what's going on.
2. I really liked the character UltimateChessmaster, because he loves Xmas music (like me!) and he plays chess, but I didn't really know what story he should be in.
As for me writing more stories, let's say I'm going to need my own forum.
4. When did you first join the LMBs? How did you learn about the community?
I joined the LMBs as a user named sabain, but I really didn't do much. Now, I know a lot more and I'm having loads of fun.
5. You recently mentioned that you made a resolution to not visit the same post twice. Can you tell us more about that? What advice would you like to give other users regarding what content they check out on the LMBs?
Well, I don't usually visit the same post twice, unless I REALLY REALLY REALLY like it. As for advice, try to do the same thing. You don't have to, but it lets you see loads of other awesomesauce stuff.
6. Congrats on reaching rank Minotaur! Are you a big fan of the rank structure? How does it affect your life on the LMBs?
I really don't care any more about the ranks. But it's a nice idea. It just seems to be ALL IMPORTANT to new users and they should have fun instead of worrying about their rank.
7. Do you post in any LEGO.com galleries? If so, which ones?
I posted a lot in the Star Wars gallery, and I tried to find a Ninjago gallery, but we don't have one.
8. If you could be a LEGO minifigure for a day who would you be? Why? What would you do?
Ooooooh. That is a HARD question. I'd like to be a Mandalorian minifig, because Mandos are scathingly brilliant. Although, Death Watch seems to be a little different from the regular Mandos.
9. What was the best advice you ever received on the LMBs? Who gave it to you? Why was it the best?
I really do like what skulduggery seems to say a lot. "Just because I have a lot of likes doesn't mean you should worship me.''
10. Tell us one funny fact about yourself that we don’t already know.
Okay. I am scared to death of that rat thing, Chucky Cheese.
11. What is your favorite thing to do when you aren’t on the LMBs? Why?
I like to have my minifigs battle or build. I have recently designed a series of LEGO statues.
12. Do you have any superpowers?
I have loads of super powers. I know Ice Spinjistzu, I have the power to write awesomesauce stories, and I'm great at music.
13. What would you like a future poll to be?
Who is your favorite story writer?
14. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
What would be the first survival gear thing you would build if you stuck in some icy mountains?
15. Question from DolphinLuvr: “If you were stuck on a deserted island with only a simple tub of LEGO bricks, what device would you make to help you get home?”
I would build a hamster ball submarine, so I could see the fish.
1. It seems like we see you everywhere! Where is your favorite place to post on the LMBs? Why?
Well really, any forum I go to I like but I prefer the Messageboards Forum the best. It's my favourite forum because it is one of the forums that has my favourite topics in them as well as it is a place where many ideas on topics are more likely to sprout.
2. Is it safe to say that LEGO CITY is your favorite theme? What do you love so much about it?
Yes, it is my favourite theme. Why I love it is because first, it was the first theme I was introduced to and second because it is one of the only themes that portrays realistic stuff. Well, sort of.
3. Your sig says “I absolutely love Federer!” What does it mean? Are you a big tennis fan?
Well I am a big fan of tennis and it is one of my interests other than LEGO. Roger Federer is my favourite tennis player.
4. What kind of posts do you give “likes” to?
Well, really, I give likes as much as I can to posts that I agree on and like, as well as posts in the newbie help topic that were posted by newbies just to give them a boost.
5. What could we do to improve the LMBs for you personally?
Really, the LMBs are fine as they are. One thing I would say would be to use the experts function as it sounds really cool.
6. What is your hidden talent?
One thing would be perhaps playing the piano which I am on Level 8 and I am not yet at that grade in school.
7. If you could be any minifigure what would it be?
I would be the minifigure that is my avatar!
8. What advice can you give to new users hoping to be an awesome community member like you?
A few things you could do is try to post on some topics to get yourself started, respect other users and try to think of topics that might perhaps make you noticed and even get some likes.
9. Do you have any super powers?
No. I wish I could have some. If I could have a super power, I would have mind powers. Then I could read people's minds as well as do other cool stuff!
10. What would you like a future poll to be?
Perhaps Your Favourite Turtle from TMNT?
11. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
Why do you go on the LMBs?
12. Question from LEGO.minifig: If you could design your own LEGO set what would it be?
That's a hard question. I would say the CN Tower since I have visited it and it was pretty cool.
1. How did you choose your username? What does it mean?
First I would like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing me for an interview! But, back to the question. A year ago when I first made my account. I enjoyed rollerblading. WHY I chose Sk8r is beyond me. But I did. I also decided not to capitalize my username! I mean, I do now when I am talking about myself but why I didn't capitalize when I was creating my account is again, beyond me. So Sk8r was for rollerblading and then the two ZEROS, not O's , were for by birth year. Add those together and *poof* theres Sk8r00.
2. You are one of the top 100 most liked users of all time. Congrats! What do you think the secret to getting “likes” is?
DEFINITELY humor. Making people laugh is totally a factor. But also I find, stating your opinion. A lot of people may not like it but hey, that’s their problem. Usually, though, people will agree whole heartedly. Being honest. Being true with your feelings, if you know how to control them .
3. What kind of posts do you “like”? Why?
Like in the previous question, humor. I LOVE a good laugh. People’s opinions, because I LOVE it when people say what they think (In a nice way of course ) and I love it when the post just makes me feel a part of a big family.
4. You recently said that your life is really busy. How do you balance all of your activities with your time here on the LMBs?
Ahem........ OF COURSE I balance my time. Seriously though, I try to get my LARGE priorities done first. Then just check in every once and a while. But I think that during the school year, you might see a lot less of me because I will have a lot more big priorities.
5. Where is your favorite place to post on the LMBs? Why?
Right now, Brickbook. I have so many great friends there like Nkg9, Skully, JCF, Steampunk_Jedi, Reece...the list could go on forever. I also have such great memories. (Nar, Nar ) I LOVE YOU BRICKBOOK CLAN!!!!
6. You always seem to be making jokes. What inspires you to be so funny?
To be honest, it really used to be to get likes. So I wasn't always this awesome user that everybody adored. But now, it’s just in my nature. I am like that IRL as well. Just always making jokes and making people laugh. And I love doing it.
7. What is your favorite LEGO theme of all time? Why?
Oh man, this is hard. I think I have to go with Lord of the Rings. I am a HUGE fan of LOTR IRL and when I saw that it was being made into a LEGO set, I was even MORE excited! Plus, I love all the cool sets and the mini figures.
8. What is your biggest talent? How did you get so good at it?
Well, I am going through that time where I think I don't have any talents. What I want to be good at is acting. But I haven't started yet. Currently, I think it goes to piano. I have been playing for almost 8 years now and I think I am rather good. I am playing Invention No. 4 by Bach and I REALLY want to learn the actual Maple Leaf Rag by Scott Joplin but I am stuck with an arranged version for now. Also singing. Our entire family has been nicknamed many times The Von Trapps because we all sing and play an instrument. As you can see, I play the piano but what you may not know, is that I CAN sing and am an alto singer.
9. How did you first discover the LMBs? What made you want to start posting?
I first found the LEGO website through the LOTR Building Challenge, which I won, to toot my own horn. . But seriously, I think this is how I found the LMBs. I got into creating things, not just for the LOTR Challenge, and I didn't know what gallery to put them in. So I think I went to Create and Share up in the top bar and then I saw the Message Boards button. I don't know WHY I clicked on it but I am sure glad I did. My first topic was for the challenge and I did stay in the LOTR Forum for a long time but it all sort of branched out from there.
10. If you could have any LEGO job which would you choose? Why? What would you do if you had that job?
So totally a designer! I love coming up with my own designs. I have so much fun building. It’s funny actually but I am always so at peace when I am building or when I have bricks in my hands.
11. What advice can you give to brand new users looking to become an awesome community member like you?
Number One, BE FUNNY! Humor gets you far, let me tell you that. I find that people feel so much more relaxed and enjoy being around you when you can make them laugh! Number Two, DON'T WORRY ABOUT RANKS! Sure, it feels horrible when you are stuck on Gladiator or Viking. Trust me, I know. But complaining won't do you ANY GOOD. Just..... go with the flow and you will be a rank higher before you know it. Number 3, JUST BE YOURSELF! I found that out the hard way. Don't try to be like somebody else. It also won't do you any good. Last but not least, Number 4, DON'T BE AFRIAD TO GET OUT THERE! Make topics, get into conversations, make friends! All these together and you will be a great user and friend.
12. Do you have any superpowers?
Is that a trick question? I think that I have the superpowers of.... wait for it ..... IMAGINATION AND NINJA SKILLS!!!! But you know, I can read minds and stuff like that.
13. What would you like a future poll to be?
This is another tough one.... .... I don't know if anybody has done this yet but I think I got it. Which is your favorite FORUM to post it? And the options will be MB Stories, LEGO General, Message Boards, Help and Suggestions and Classics. And in case I calculated wrong and you need six options , LEGO News.
14. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
What does LEGO building do for you? Like, does it calm you, does it make you feel good about yourself, does it make you want to work for LEGO? That kind of stuff.
15. Question from A_Grue: “What is your favorite LEGO movie?”
I have not, sadly, seen any LEGO movie EVER! But I am so hyped for the new one coming out! I think that one will be my favorite.
Well, it's my initials, my favorite color, and a random number at the end.
2. You are the representative for the brand new Castle Roleplay. Congrats! What is the best thing about being rep? What is the most challenging thing?
Thanks! The best thing is helping out the RP. A challenge is trying to please everyone for what they want.
3. You are active in a few different roleplays. How did you first get interested in roleplay? What do you enjoy so much about roleplaying on the LMBs?
I remember like it was yesterday! I accidently clicked on the Ninjago RP. I thought it would take me to some other place, but it turned out it was just like the Ninjago boards. So naturally, I found out some more stuff about RP and decided to join, making my first HQ, the Force Field ninja HQ! I then found RP's very fun and joined a few others.
4. What is your favorite LEGO castle theme of all time? Why?
The 2013 one, because it has GOLD!!!
5. What is the coolest LEGO set you have ever built? What made it so cool?
The Ninjago 'Kai's Blade Cycle'! I found it so cool because it had cool functions, more than just flick fire LEGO missiles!
6. What would you do if you were a Mod for a day?
If I was mod for a day, I would moderate stuff and talk with other users about how awesome it is. And I would be getting paid, right?
7. Tell us three fun facts about you that we may not know.
Three fun facts, hmm, I hate roller coasters and rides that go TOO fast or have drops, I make short LEGO films, and I like the color gold (even though we already know that ) my favorite ninja in Ninjago is Jay, not Golden Lloyd.
8. What is your favorite thing about the LMB community? What is your least favorite thing?
My favorite thing about the LMBs is finding out more about LEGO. If it wasn't for the LMBs, I would never know about Ninjago coming back or Mr. Gold! My least favorite thing is that arguments happen from time to time.
9. What would you say is your greatest talent? How did you get so talented at it?
Talent, typing really fast. I got good at it when my school bought a program called 'Type to learn 4'. A reason why I post really fast!
10. What advice would you give to a brand new user joining the community? Why?
The quote button is right next to the spell check button. Why, because when I was a newbie and didn't know about the quote button it took me a month to find out about it.
11. When did you first realize that you were a LEGO fanatic? What is your absolute favorite thing about LEGO?
Well, before becoming a LEGO fan, I was hooked on Playmobile. But one of my friends got into LEGO and I decided to get into LEGO as well, too.
12. Do you have any superpowers?
Super powers, besides being incredibly handsome, and smart … I can talk really fast, and understand people who talk fast. My sister can talk faster than me, though I can still understand her.
13. What would you like a future poll to be?
What's your favorite rank (ranks 9-17)?
14. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
Have you ever been to the LEGO store? If so, how was your experience(s)?
15. Question from SprinkleOtter:Who is your favorite LEGO character of all time?
The winner is, drumroll please 'drumrolls ' Jay from Ninjago and Chase McCain from LEGO City! And DO NOT make me choose between those two!
1. Congratulations on reaching rank Knight! How does it feel? What rank are you most excited about achieving?
Thank you! Rank 9 is the rank I consider to be the transition between middle-rank to high-rank. It’s my second favorite rank, and I’m so glad to be here! The Knight design is so interesting; I love the red and grey standing against the dark grey in the background. I wish I could be stuck on this rank for a long time, then rank up quickly to Conquistador, my favorite rank, where I want to be stuck forever!
2. You’ve been active in The Lone Ranger forum. Are you really excited to see the movie?
I hope to see it the day it comes out! It looks so cool, and I can’t wait to see it!
3. Your username is pretty unique. What is the meaning behind it?
Well, my username doesn’t have much history. “Anonymous” means unknown identity, and “Pseudonym” is another way of saying “false name.” The two combined make a pretty interesting username, and a lot of users have trouble spelling it.
When I was creating my account, it was the first thing that popped into my head. Although I have memorized the spelling now, before I entered my username into my LEGO ID, I had to use the Microsoft Word spell-check to be sure it was correct.
4. You are one of the top 60 most “liked” users of all time. Congrats! What is it about your writing that everyone enjoys so much?
Thanks! I think it’s partially the jokes that I slip in here and there, but I do my best to be a quality poster too, and many of those likes have come from the help topics that I post in.
5. What is your favorite LEGO theme of all time? Why?
If LEGO Universe could be considered a theme, then that would be my choice without a doubt. I’ve recently taken to collecting Star Wars, though, so SW is my second choice.
6. If you had one LEGO wish (and could wish for anything) what would you wish for? Why?
Hmmm, that’s a tough question. I would want either the new AT-TE or the Super Star Destroyer, both from Star Wars. They both seem very interesting, and the designs are very detailed.
7. You’ve posted in a few topics created to help users gain rank. What is your theory on the rank structure? What do you think a user needs to rank up?
Since the Mods have made us sure that they do not rank up users, there must be a formula. It is nearly impossible and takes a massive amount of studying to be sure of the formula, but it’s there. I have learned from experience some basic idea of a portion of the formula. Likes given, Likes received, and posts are definitely a factor in ranks, and in some cases, views have been proven to also be a factor.
8. What is your favorite thing about the LMBs? Why?
Definitely the users- no contest! The LMB users have always welcomed me, treating me with respect, and I try to do the same in return!
9. What LMB user (or users) have inspired you? How did they inspire you?
Before I joined the MBs, (even before I had an account) I once decided to take a peek at this thing on Create and Share called the Message Boards. Having played LEGO Universe, I took an interest in the LU stories; I had always loved to read, eating up two-inch books in a mere 12 hours. When I looked at the stories, I found an epic tale of a stromling becoming “infected” by imagination, turning her into a minifigure. The story was named “Imagination Infection –Story” by a user of the name of Samlooploop, though she went by Jonna. She inspired me to begin writing on the MBs, and the same day I created my account and started my first story. Looking back, I see many errors, mistakes, and places where I could have done better, but it was a start.
From there, I began expanding my posting range towards the Message Boards Help and Suggestions forum; I wanted to help out a bit. That was where I found Sam8432, who was actively helping users who needed help. He set the example, and I followed.
Sam and Jonna inspired and set the example for me, and I hope to do the same for other users!
10. Do you visit any of the LEGO.com galleries? If so, which ones?
Very rarely, I take a peek at the LEGO Digital Designer galleries, but other than that, I don’t look at the galleries. I know I’m probably missing out, but I use all of my time on the computer on the Message Boards.
11. What is one interesting thing about you that the users of the LMBs probably don’t know?
Here’s an interesting fact: Currently, I am rebuilding a few of my old Star wars sets. The pieces were scattered around in some of my LEGO bins, so I dumped them out of the floor, () and my room has so many spots where the LEGOs are above ankle-deep that by some it is not considered habitable. (My mom being one of them. )
12. Do you have any superpowers?
Well, I can crab-walk 50 feet in seven seconds. (Seriously!)
13. What would you like a future poll to be?
I think an interesting poll would be:
On a scale of 1-5, what would you rate the new ranks compared to the old ones?
*1
*2
*3
*4
*5
14. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
If you could create any theme for LEGO, what would it be?
15. Question from HuskeyGirl: If you were in charge of designing a future Minifigures series, what kind of minifigs would you include? Why?
Interesting question. I think I would include a World War II fighter-plane pilot, a Muslim Sultan, and definitely a LEGO Universe stromling. I can think of any more that I would create. (One of those may already have been used before- I don’t keep up with Minifigures.)
We have posted this interview using bold, green font to pay tribute to AnonymousPseudonym's signature style.
1. I am a huge fan of “The Lost Mod.” What inspired you to write it? How do you manage to make each chapter more exciting than the last?
Well, I wrote the Lost Mod because there were so many Fantasy/Action/Mystery stories on the MB forum, and I guess I wanted to make my own. As for each chapter being better than the last, first of all thank you , and second, I've been writing for years, even before I joined the MBs. I've learned a lot about skills such as suspense.
2. What has been your favorite rank so far? Why? What rank are you most looking forward to?
My favorite rank so far is probably Ninja or Conquistador. I'm looking forward to getting Musketeer, because I find those guys a pretty interesting topic, and the design is cool.
3. What advice can you give to new users hoping to be as awesome as you one day?
You guys are really nice. Anyways, I would probably say that the best way of making new friends is to be active, make quality posts, and to try to be nice and funny. Storywriting or RPing is a good way to make friends too.
4. Do your friends in real life know that you have such a cool, crazy life here on the LMBs? What do they think about it?
Only one of my friends knows, but he's not really a LEGO fan. We do play Minecraft sometimes though.
5. Obviously you are a big Ninjago fan. What is it about Ninjago that you love so much?
Well, I do really like the sets. They have some great designs and features. Some of the characters are cool too.
6. If you could be any Ninjago character who would you choose? Why?
Pythor, minus the getting eaten part.
7. You have a quote in your sig about Thomas the Train. Are you a big fan of Thomas? Do you really think the trains are scary?
Nah, it was a dare. Aguarios is a mad genius.
8. What has been your proudest moment on the LMBs so far? Why are you so proud of that time?
Probably when my first story became the most viewed Ninjago story of all time. It's probably only second now, but still.
9. What is one thing that LMB users may not know about you that you wish they did?
My favorite book series is the Last Apprentice. It's awesome, but I wouldn't read it unless you're 13 or older.
10. Your avatar is a really cool skeleton chef. Can you tell us what your avatar means?
The chef hat is there because baking is one of my favorite hobbies. You haven't lived until you've tried my brownies. And the skeleton just looks cool.
11. You are consistently ranked high on the community leaderboards. What is it about your posts that you think users like so much? What advice can you give to other users who want to create great posts that will earn “likes”?
Most of my likes come from storywriting. A lot of the others come from my jokes. Those are great ways to get likes.
12. If you found a genie and they gave you three wishes what would you wish for (if you could wish for anything in the world)? Why?
Infinite wishes, of course.
13. Do you have any superpowers?
Aside from the ability to blow things up with my mind, no.
14. What would you like a future poll to be?
A favorite forum poll might be good, unless there was one already. If there was, maybe a favorite LEGO villain poll.
15. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
How about "What is your favorite book?" Fingers crossed that it's the Last Apprentice.
16. Question from Gracelw1: If you could invent your own LEGO theme, what would it be?
I did have a good idea for an unlicensed theme a while back. It was kind of like Dino Attack, except with dragons and different characters. Maybe another more traditional ninja theme after Ninjago would be nice too.
Anyways, thanks for the interview guys. It was really fun to answer all these questions.
1. You’re the roleplay representative in Lord of the Rings Roleplay. What is the best part of being the representative? What is the post challenging aspect of the role?
I'm really not sure what the best part is. To be honest, a lot of what I do there is what I'd do anyways. I'd vote on topics, and give my reason, and try to help out the roleplay. The only difference is as a representative, I also run the voting. However, one thing that I've noticed, is when you're the representative, you seem to have a bit more influence on the voting. Which, since what I'm doing is what I think is best, it's nice to have that influence. So, I guess I'd need to say that that's the best part I see in it. The most challenging part... Telling the mods that a topic I don't think should be let through, has been approved. It's really easy for me to try to delay it, and, really, abuse my role, by waiting too long to inform the mods. Because I'm hoping more votes on my side will come in, and turn the tide, when really, the voting has settled down, and I shouldn't be waiting any longer.
2. If you were a LEGO designer, what Lord of the Rings set would you be designing next?
That's a hard one... I think it'd likely be Ambush at Amon Hen, simply because I really want that set to be made. Boromir is one of my favorite characters, and though it's also the place of his fall, it's also the place of his redemption, and his greatest moment in the books. ... And I want a Boromir minifig to be available to those who don't have the cash to get the Mines of Moria set.
3. You have “Ranger of the North” in your signature. What do you think you have in common with the Rangers?
First off, for those who don't know, the Ranger of the North part refers to the Dunedain from Lord of the Rings. Aka, people like Aragorn. As for what I think I have in common with them... Well, to be honest, very little. The only thing I can think of, is the Dunedain are pretty much the definition of heroes. I, like many guys, find that concept HIGHLY appealing. So, in short, they're heroes, I'm a wannabe hero. The reason that's in my signature, though is because I'm a Dunedain in the Lord of the Rings roleplay.
4. If you could make a ring of power, what powers would you give it? What would you do with it?
Hmm... I think I'd likely have it be one related to wisdom, as wisdom is always nice. How I would use it though... Well, I think it'd be pretty practical when it comes to life. Just for making decisions and such. And it'd also be helpful for schoolwork!
5. Where in Middle Earth would you like to live and why?
Oh man... That's a tough question... I think in the end though, I'd need to say Rivendell. The descriptions of it just make it sound like a great spot to live. Not only does it sound like a gorgeous area, but also, every time characters spend time there, they're blissfully happy it seems. And they really rest up while they're there. So, rest, great stories, great people, great country, great music, great food... What isn't there to love?
6. What kind of posts do you give “likes” to?
Most of the time it's posts I find funny. But ones that are well put, or really good roleplay moves, I'll likely like. To be honest, I normally don't think about the like button. So, frequently a post that I like needed to make me think about it. Otherwise, even if I might like it, I'll just forget about it.
7. What could we do to improve the LMBs for you personally?
I think it'd be nice to have a quote character limit, and a post character limit that are separate. Sometimes I get into pretty long winded discussions, and no one can quote the other, because we'd need to go way past the character limit to quote the other guy.
8. If you could be any minifigure what would it be?
Likely a science fiction one. With dark green armor, a laser rifle that I can slide into the little hole at the back of the cloak by the neck, a shiny sword, (because swords are cool. Especially the shiny ones! ) and a hooded cloak. (Because hooded cloaks are ALSO cool. ) If it needs to be one that LEGO has actually made, I'm rather fond of the crossbowman that I got in the Troll Siege Tower from the Castle theme a few years ago.
9. What advice can you give to new users hoping to be an active, prominent community member like you?
Well, aside from the obvious tip of "Be all over the place, making quality posts"... There were two ways that I got to be known on the LMBs. The first one, was for writing stories in the New Forum, (That was back when the News Forum was smaller) and other places. If you can write good enough stories, a few people will start to notice you. My main tips for writing are these: 1: Practice. The more you write, the better you'll get. 2: Use good spelling and grammar. If your story is great, but it has bad grammar and such, people are far less likely to notice that your story is great. The second thing I got known for, was for roleplaying. My biggest tip there, is be realistic. Think about your moves, and ask yourself, "does this make sense? Is it probable?" "If I was in this world, could I see that happening? Does it fit with the universe?" Things like that. (Actually, this applies to writing too.) Being realistic will help you a lot when it comes to becoming a good roleplayer.
10. Do you have any super powers?
Hmm... Well, some of my friends on roleplays (emjajoas1 was the first person) have joked that I'm "Realism Incarnate," because I'm always so insistent on everything being highly realistic in roleplays. If there's something I see that's unrealistic... I'll dive right in, and start explaining how it's unrealistic. (Usually successfully.) Sometimes resulting in extremely long winded debates. This comes from my decision a while ago, that I wasn't going to ever lose to something unrealistic.
In reality though, this is all just a coverup to hide what my REAL super power is... The ability to be... Realism Incarnate.
11. What would you like a future poll to be?
"How long have you been on the LMBs?" I think the results of that could be pretty interesting to see.
12. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
If you could revive any old LEGO theme, which one would it be?
13. Question from Keplers: If you could choose any geographic location from a LEGO theme to exist in real life, what would you choose? Why?
That's a really hard question. One that made me do some research to be honest. In the end, I think my answer would be the Drome, from the Drome Racers theme. As for the why... Well, to be honest, my answer is "Because it's cool." It involves some awesome technology. And, while I'm not such a fan of watching races, I think it could be kinda fun to watch.
1. What inspired you to start posting on the LMBs?
Well when I first got onto the MBs and saw how many awesome users I could talk to about LEGO I knew I was in the write place.I also was just starting to get back into writing stories and thought this would be the perfect place to write some LEGO stories.
2. What do you think of the new LMBs?
Although it still has its faults I think there pretty cool it's a lot more modern than the old one and most of those glitches that I disliked are gone.
3. What could we do to improve them for you personally?
Maybe make it just a bit more organized and what I mean by that is like a certain form for stories for every theme it seems like they are so many stories these days and making a sub form for all of them will definitely help and I know authors will probably appreciate it.
4. What do you think of being one of the first users to reach Samurai Warrior, Knight, and now Highland Battler?
It's nice I never really thought I would be the first to reach a rank or anything for that matter but even if I wasn't the first I would be fine with that after all its just a picture under my avatar...A cool picture though.
5. What kind of things do you post?
I really like to post stories and a lot of them.I have been told I have way to many but I don't really listen writing is one of my favorite things to do.I also post a lot of "What if" topics and topics were people can really express there opinion.I like hearing what other user have to say on subjects.
6. What kind of posts are you likely to give “likes” to?
I like a lot of things mainly things that are funny, good quality, maybe expressing an opinion I agree with, and also some story chapters too of course.
7. Do you use the LEGO.com galleries? If so, which ones?
Sometimes I have posted a couple of drawings and things but I am planning on putting some of my recent creations in the LU creation Lab and minifiguers Gallery,City and a few others.
8. If you could be any minifigure what would it be?
Probably a Ninja minifigure they are so cool sneaking around and things like that.Plus I could have all those cool weapons too.
9. What is your favourite LEGO set?
That's a hard one I have so many favorites but I'm going to go with the Grand Emporium. I just love the detailing and awesome features in that set but like I said before I have a lot of favorites.
10. What advice can you give to other users who admire your amazing accomplishments on the LMBs?
Just keep posting and Enjoying the MBs and you will be sure to gain those accomplishments too!
11. What would you like the next poll to be?
Maybe a favorite Superhero poll like from DC of Marvel I would love to see that!
1. So, tell us, what is the story behind your username?
Well, there's a book called the Lioness and Her Knight, by Gerald Morris (it's an... entertaining version of the Arthurian legends), and it has a character named Godwulf, who ends up being an awesome and amusing hermit, who the nearby people call the right holy hermit of the hunt. And I was looking for a username, and then thought of him.
2. You basically live in Lord of the Rings roleplay! What is it that you love so much about it?
I really like the Lord of the Rings. And the roleplay is mostly pretty fun, with plenty of strategy and such. Of course, it has the problem all these roleplays do, which is that it's hard to know exactly how well people fight and such. Still, it's fun, and I'll stick around as long as I have the time for it.
3. Who do you think is the most important character in Lord of the Rings? Why?
Well, that's hard to say. But... I guess it'd have to be Sauron, since he's the reason why everyone else is important. In the actual Lord of the Rings trilogy itself, that is.
4. If you could rewrite any scene from The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings which would you choose? What would you change?
Hmm. I guess it'd have to be the scene in The Return of the King where Frodo sends Sam away on the stairs up to Cirith Ungol (and Shelob). I'd get rid of that whole part; it just doesn't fit the characters. And even if Frodo did send him off, Sam would just follow out of sight or something.
5. How often do you build with LEGO bricks in real life? What is your favorite thing to construct?
Not often enough. Usually I like big, complicated, and clever things the best, although they can be frustrating. Or something I make up. I don't have a particular favorite set I've built, though. There are some that if I had the money to buy would probably become my favorite, though!
6. What advice can you give to a new user hoping to get started in a roleplay?
Pay attention, talk to people who know what they're doing, maybe ask for some practice. Try to be realistic, fair, and let the other side have fun too.
7. Tell us three cool things about you that we probably don’t already know.
Well, that's a hard one... CONTINUE
8. When did you first realize that you were a true LEGO fan?
Hmm. Maybe when I first went and made something on my own from random bricks lying around. But honestly, it kind of snuck up on me. It's hard to say a specific time.
9. What is the funniest thing that you have ever experienced on the LMBs?
Funniest thing? Oh... *thinks* *thinks harder* Um... Not thinking of anything, sorry. There have been funny things, I know, but they're all running from my memory right now.
10. What is your favorite hobby outside of LEGO.com? Why?
Reading. Or maybe writing... Because I like stories.
11. You’ve been a member of this community for a long time now. What has inspired you stick around so long?
Hmm. The role-plays, I guess. Otherwise I'd have left already due to not enough time. I mean, there are other fun things on the LMBs, but I only have so many hours in one day.
12. Do you have any superpowers?
Unfortunately, no. I wish I did, though!
13. What would you like a future poll to be?
Maybe... one about favorite 'era' of LEGO sets. Maybe with an option for every five/ten years, or however big they need to be to fit in the poll options.
14. What LEGO-related question do you have for the next interviewee?
What's the biggest LEGO model you've ever made, whether one of your own or an official one?
15. Question from NINJAGOgirl2363: If you could choose any job at LEGO, what would it be?
It'd have to be one of the people designing sets. That'd be awesome. Maybe for the Lord of the Rings sets...
