I actually thought the finale was pretty good, if you don't count me cringing every time someone says "Time Punch"
I have high hopes for Season 8, for several reasons:
The Hageman Brothers took a break from writing the show, and in my experience long breaks from writing allow you to think more creatively
The Finale left a lot of things a mystery

Really? The characters actually said "time punch"? That sounds like a rejected ability for a Power Rangers season.
I'm actually pretty confident in Season 8 too. Apparently, the Hagemans have been working on a show called Trollhunters, and it's gotten fantastic reviews. I haven't watched Trollhunters, since I don't have Netflix, but maybe I will in 2020, when TV has gone obsolete due to the rise of streaming.

I watched Trollhunters, and I have to say it was really good. Definitely the level of quality writing that I want to see in Ninjago.
