Well, I have now seen the entire season of Hands of Time (don't worry, I won't spoil it), and I have an opinion on it:
It was great!
As fantasius1111 proves, not everybody will like it, but I still think it was a fine season!
Now, I'd like to point out I had very low hopes for it. This might be why I thought it was so good. In fact, when I first began, I was expecting Ninjago itself to be bad, so when I saw that the first episode was decent, I thought it was great - so just in case, lower your hopes.
Of course, it still had its flaws. There are plenty of weird moments (and weird villains coughcough), weird elements, and I really pity those Skylor fans when they see the Skylor scene. It was not satisfactory.
That being said, I still think this new writer did a fine job, and I'm looking forward to what Season 8 will bring!
"...As fantasius1111 proves, not everyone will like it..."
Correction: At this point, I have never seen anyone who dislikes Hands of Time.
I'm alone...
...and also wondering what will happen to Hands of Time-Revived.

Well, it isn't actually done airing in the U.S., so there have to be some people with your opinions by the end of the month.
I hate to say this, but I no longer expect it to happen. I was expecting a horrible season, but I found it decent, and don't see enough bad stuff (there still is plenty of it) to write a complete replacement fanfiction. =P
{REVIEW OF SEASON 7} I just finished watching Hands of Time, and I hated it. The whole season is just a mess. The first 4 episodes are pretty good, but by the 5th episode it's like: LOOK AT THIS VEHICLE! LOOK AT THIS LOCATION!
And the story is very lacking. I'm more likely to purchase sets if the vehicle or location in the show has some sort of significance beyond a short-lived gimmick.
These writers are also very bad at writing these characters. I get speech patterns and motivations better in my own fanfiction than these people do in official content. Probably the worst part of the season was when the ninja directly disobeyed an order by Lloyd, essentially ignoring every bit of character development from the start of the show to Episode 64. This very competent team that we've seen work VERY well together the last few seasons is suddenly completely incompetent.
The writers treat the audience like we comprehend very little. All the jokes fall completely flat and when they try to throw in pop culture references it doesn't work at all. Overall, the humor in this season just comes across as awkward and forced.
On the positive side, I did like that these writers made Zane seem more human. While I prefer the Hageman Brothers to write the show in general, because they know their own characters pretty well, but the extra emphasis on Zane being a robot is completely overwhelming. I barely even recognize him as the same character, or even a character at all. In this season he seemed less robotic.
I also liked some of the callbacks in this season, because we got to see characters that have been absent from the show for some time, such as Cole's father. (And characters that have been mentioned but only on screen in flashbacks) Although those characters also seemed out of character, so it isn't that great.
Overall, I'd give this season a 1 out of 10. It was okay, but honestly didn't really work.
(Also PIXAL is totally Samurai X)
(They hinted at it so much it won't even be that much of a surprise)

{JAMMERS! -Bubsey- ONLY!}I especially agree with you on the characters. In episode 2, the ninja race each other. They had never done that before in previous seasons, so normally they never would.
Not only that, but Acronix and Krux's motivations are non-existent. They're evil because...they're evil.
Thank you for saying this. I actually thought I was the only one who didn't enjoy Hands of Time. I give it a 3/10. I actually thought Rebooted was better than this.

Ouch. Well I really liked Hands of Time. I will say though, that I'm not a big fan of how Cole's "power hands" were handled, if you know what I mean. And I really don't like Commander Machia. She was just so unrealistically perfect, it was really annoying.
{JAMMERS! Click to show} The samurai actually isn't PIXAL. I know, I thought that too at first, but in the episode where the Vermillion attack the X cave, the Samurai X suit was stolen before PIXAL was out of Zane's head. And since it was confirmed that the Vermillion didn't steal the suit, the samurai must be someone else.
Or, PIXAL is samurai X, and what I said will turn out to be a plot hole.

{JAMMERS! -Bubsey- ONLY!} What about your thoughts on the finale? I don't know what to say about it, really. I just hope that Season 8 turns out to be good, otherwise I'll probably lose interest in Ninjago.

I actually thought the finale was pretty good, if you don't count me cringing every time someone says "Time Punch"
I have high hopes for Season 8, for several reasons:
The Hageman Brothers took a break from writing the show, and in my experience long breaks from writing allow you to think more creatively
