I don't know if I'm personally ready to find a spouse, but I probably should. We'll see. Thing is, like I said, every girl I know is taken and I don't really go out and meet new people outside work:P.
Hey, I see you've moved to LMBE as well ! Nice to meet old friends, although this is probably the wrong conversation to reply to ...
I know how you feel - as I mentioned on the Community Helpers forum I'm autistic as well. The problem is that I joined school (aged 11) acting very abnormally - it was obvious to pretty much anyone that I was different, and that's before I started throwing furniture . By now I've changed and can join new groups without anybody ever noticing my condition, but at school the memory lingers... Luckily most people accept "the new me" and are friendly with me, and as for the few who don't, my strong influence with teachers usually takes care of them *evil laugh*.
The trouble is that I'm still rather introverted (not necessarily a bad thing), so I can't just go up to someone (especially a girl ) and talk to them. 3 years ago, when the change was starting to happen, there was a girl in my science class that I sort of fancied because she actually spoke to me and we were able to share jokes (that's how low the bar was back then ). Unfortunately I didn't have the courage and right now she's with someone else. And fittingly enough today was the LAST official day of school (exams start next week) . So that happened.
If you ever read my story "The Diaries of Murphy" (on the "old" LMBs - I still have it stored on my computer if you're interested), that girl was the inspiration for one of the main characters .
Well I have to say I'd NEVER have guessed that. Unfortunatly I wouldn'd know about that sort of thing because I homeschooled. There was this time when I was about 7 or 8 and I was in beaver scouts, and this guy came up to me and asked me "Hey Sam, have you got a girlfiend?" to which I answered, not knowing that it meant a realation ship, "Yes" I'd tell you what happened next but that would cost me my pride and reputation.

Once my parents had some people over for dinner, and one of the women was from Vietnam and spoke in a very strong accent (by strong, I mean barely comprehensible). She asked me something which I couldn't understand, so I said "Yes". Turns out she asked "Have you got a girlfriend?" . It took me several tries to explain that I didn't have one. From then on, I answered "No" to her questions .
Wait, so you're suggesting I try and date somebody who I am selling overpriced food:S:P? I am pretty sure I would get fired for trying to do that anyways:P!
Nope. I'm just saying that you may meet a someone nice. Someone who you could become friends with and than maybe something else later on... Much later on. Don't all romantic relationships start off as a friendships and all friends begin as strangers or acquaintances? Hence the stupid phrase "stuck in the friend zone". I'm not saying you should harass your customers. That would be weird, but making friends with them is quite acceptable, especially if they're a regular at you workplace.
Nobody is a regular at my work place, it's an amusement park, most people come once a year:P. I will just stick to hanging with my coworkers for now, it's really all I can do. I guess I will just hope somebody ends up liking me in the future. Like I said, I have LOTS of good friends who are girls, just they all have boyfriends. I just feel they all think I'm that funny kid who they like to hang out with at work, but not somebody they would like to hang out with all the time outside it. Who knows though, I mean, one of my friends who's a girl I saw at the Pats parade over the offseason, and since then we have been texting a lot. She has a boyfriend and is a few years older than me, but you never know what may happen.
~l)~/\/~/-\~ The tie between real life and legos is imagination .
You clearly aren't a big music fan if you NEVER watched American Idol:S:P.
Yeah, but it's also because it's just a show that I'd never think to watch, and I didn't think my parents would jump for either. =P All I know is that it's a bunch of celebrities singing stuff.
No it isn't:S. It's a bunch of no-name American people singing stuff:P. The point of the show is that these random people from all over America join a singing competition to try and become a celebrity!

I think back in Reception (the lowest year in our system - ages 4 and 5) there was also someone in my class who had autism of some sort (can't remember exactly) and he was expelled. I'm glad I didn't go the same way. Back in primary school there was very little support for people with special needs (they did quite a lot for dyslexics but not much for others), but luckily my secondary school does a lot.
I was expelled from my public school, although not until like 7th grade.

A couple of times I got close to being expelled from primary school (I think it was throwing stuff again). But my current (but not for long ) secondary school, they try not to expel people. The worst I've heard about was someone getting suspended for a few days when their bag was searched and "something" was found (we weren't told what and who, but we have guesses...). In other schools he'd have been kicked out for good.

Anyone been watching Eurovision? I'm not a fan (don't like most pop music in general), but my brother watched it. He voted for Moldova because of this "epic saxophone guy" . The only bit I saw was the bit where a Ukrainean prankster invaded the stage covered with an Australian flag . Apparently that guy has a history of doing weird stuff at big events.

But you work at a cinema too right? I must say, my family a pretty regular at the cinemas. Why do you think that is, about people hanging out at work but not outside? I often feel the same way. It was like that at school too. I sometimes go to the city to meet up with uni friends, but they all live in the city and I live rural, so it becomes difficult.
Exactly, people move in and out of relationships all of the time, you just need to make sure you don't get stuck in the middle. Some people are possessive and aggressive.

I thought that was America's Got Talent.
America's Got Talent is anything, not just singing. Not to mention that's voted on by judges. In American Idol, people vote by texting/calling the show.

Good luck with that.

A little... Maybe more than a little. Eurovision is huge in Australia, we all get up super early to binge watch. I'm not a huge fan of pop music either, but I still get my Eurovision fix. Unfortunately we came ninth this year. Isaiah was great though. He not only represented Australia, but the Indigenous and Torres Strait Islanders of Australia. Last year we finished second and the year before (our first year) fifth. At least we allow culturally diverse singers to represent us. Guy Sebastian was born in Malaysia, Dami Im is from Korea, while Isaiah is Indigenous.
To be honest, I would not be surprise if an Aussie encouraged the prankster. It's something we'd do.

That prankster does a lot of strange things - I don't think he needs encouragement .

Nope! Though that might be because I'm american. I also don't like 99.8% of pop music. I only heard of it after a British YTber I watched talked about it. He like the Hungarian song. I then listened part to one, I think either the British, or the Hungarian entry, and I wasn't a fan of it. Sorry.
