Played the game for the first time a few days ago at a siblings house. LEGO games just aren't the same anymore IMO. Maybe 'cause I'm not playing it co-op, but I found it dreadfully boring... Or you know... Maybe I'm just too old.
It's like a clunky version of Minecraft. I'd rather get a bunch of friends together and build a Minecraft city in my free time.
The narrator is a very dull version of Kevan Brighting from the Stanley Parable and Stephen Fry from Little Big Planet. This guy is no fun at all. Those fellows were excellent and made basic games playable.
I made it to the pink lollie/sweets level before switching to something else. The narrator is such a bore, there doesn't seem to be any humour. LEGO games used to be funny and lighthearted.
I could only imagine how terrible this game was prior to narration. After all, any narration is better than none.
That's what I thought it was: watered down Minecraft. And that's coming from somebody who HATES MC:P. Seriously, I played it back when it first came out and there was no narration or story. You just ran around collecting items for no reason as well as building random stuff with a VERY limited selection of bricks. Overall, I was no impressed. I will only ever play again if they add an LDD sized selection of bricks.
Eh. This seems to be a problem with all games these days. Everything is connected to the internet, so game developers send out half finished games and put the rest in the "do it later basket" because they can patch it at another time. The Tony Hawke Pro Skater Five game's patch was larger than the actual file on the game disc. Ubisoft and EA are notorious for doing this.
Funnily enough, you can use this method to bypass game classification. Just patch all the "bad" stuff into it after the rating board has already passed it.
Sadly, I don't think LEGO can or will patch an actual story into LEGO Worlds. It seems clear by the lame narration that they're just making things up as they go. Game testers must have had nothing better to do. Maybe if you've never played Minecraft, you might enjoy it for what it is.

I just got it, and I happen to like it. For me, it embodies what Lego should have done a while ago: create a game that is just building. Creating your own adventure.
Hmmm, I got it on switch a month or two ago and I played it all the time. I loved it! However, recently "Nintendo switch online" is not letting me play it! Whenever I open the game it says, "You need Nintendo switch online to play online." but I've never even played it online! I don't know when I'll get to play it again, but I give it 8 and 1/2 out of 10 stars!
