A teenage boy in green robes walks into the tavern. He sits down at the bar and gestures the bartender over. "Tell me, where in town can I find a ride?"
The bartender looks at him suspiciously. "A ride? A ride where?"

"I am going to the Ruins in the Pine Forest. I will be staying there for about a week, and I will need a ride to and fro the ruins. Is there anyone in town who can arrange that?"

"Kid, every town, village, and castle in the kingdoms and half the forest is preparing for war, including the Ruins, though they aren't so ruined anymore from what I hear. There won't be any rides for a long time, especially for strangers."
Lexos enters the Tavern with his six guards, looking for General Dror.
The bartender tells one of the servers to get the general from his room. A few minutes later, Dror comes down the stairs and greets Lexos with a friendly smile.
"Most of the horses have gone to the armies. If anyone's selling one it will be for a high price."
"That is... Unfortunate." The stranger thinks for a moment. "Does anyone have a fortress in the ruins?"
"From what I hear, there was some sort of battle a little while back- something to do with the coming war, I think- and now the Dragon Kingdom has begun repairing and furnishing the old castle, probably in preparation for the war."

Lexos walks over to General Dror and bows. "General Dror, there is something I must know that I believe you can answer."

"Of course. Care to sit?" He gestures to an empty table, one of many.

"Yes, thank you." Lexos sits down and waits for General Dror to do the same. When Dror was comfortable, Lexos says "I have just one more question: How close is the Xain army exactly?"
