I choose Rowlet. Not because it's super effective against Popplio, but because I like owls and Rowlet is adorable, Dartrix is fabulous, and Decidueye is super cool. I'm also a fan of grass-types in general, though my favorite types are probably normal and fairy. I named him Adam, as in the first man in the Bible (he was my first Pokémon discounting side games), as well as Adam Young of Owl City.
Actually, my picks in every gen:
Gen 1: Squirtle (I mean, I would pick Bulbasaur, but Squirtle has a special place in my heart. Squirtle squad, anyone?) Gen 2: Chikorita (Or maybe Cyndaquil? Though Totodile is also kinda nice...eh, my finger generally lands on Chikorita.) Gen 3: Torchic or Mudkip (cause who doesn't liek mudkipz ) Gen 4: Piplup (It's...it's a penguin. How is that not appealing?) Gen 5: Snivy (aka smugleaf Also, in my opinion, the best-designed final evolution of the three. If I didn't pick Snivy I would probably pick Oshawott.) Gen 6: Er...any of them? Chespin is cute and friendly, Fennekin is cool and elegant (and a fox), and Froakie...well, you can't deny Greninja is cool. (Right, TheNewIceNinja? ) Gen 7: Rowlet. 1: Ah, yes. Pikachu is a classic. Also, Blastoise is awesome; it's got HYDRO CANNONS for crying out loud! 2: Yeah. Totodile is pretty cool. I mostly pick Chiko 'cause she's cute tbh, it'll also get me through a fire gym I guess, and I tend to prefer less monstrous final evolutions. 3: Its evolutions are cooler IMO though. I might even choose Treecko just for their evolutions, which makes all three the answer for me. 4: Yup. I loved its appearance in Detective Pikachu too! The Torterra were HUUUGE! (Also, if you fuse Turtwig and Squirtle, did you know that you get Turtle? I think that if you combine Torterra and Blastoise, you'll also get Tortoise. ) 5: Oh? Guess you're more of a veteran than I am. I mentioned my first Pokémon ever earlier being from Sun and Moon; I didn't get really into Pokémon until back in August when Detective Pikachu sparked my interest in the franchise, though I had been playing stuff like Pokémon Shuffle and Rumble World on the 3DS before then. My earliest full-on experiences with Pokémon were probably watching the Black and White anime on Cartoon Network; I don't think I played the games until last year though. 6: Yup. You love your Greninja, don't you? Greninja is pretty awesome. (Might end up choosing Froakie or Chespin because Fennekin's final evolution is a witch, which I don't like.) 7: Yeah, I have to admit, Incineroar is awesome!
